Hey I have got a solution for auto screen lock and restarting issue. Go to your device settings and then Privacy. Then go to privacy guard. There are three dots on upper right corner. CLICK ON THAT AND SELECT SHOW BUILT IN APPS. Now search for Google play services and hold on Google play services. Scroll downside and search for auto start and keep awake. Turn them off. But keep sure that (keep awake ) is enabled.
If it help you please thanks me.

Hi,
I've never installed any Mods to my phone before and am wondering where to find a more beginner friendly tutorial for
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1710871
I don't know how to do the config stuff.
I'm trying to install the silent camera mod:
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...disables-shutter-sound-for-android-4-devices/
When installing I got an error "E:signature verification failed Installation aborted."
I found this tutorial about installing a Mod Manager
http://theunlockr.com/2013/01/09/how-to-disable-shutter-sound-on-your-android-device/
I got the same error when trying to install that.
I'm pretty much lost at this point.
Does anyone know how to install the silent camera mod?
First off, that tells me the package you tried to install is not signed correctly. Also, it only seems that this works on custom ROMs.
Sent from my Baked GT-P3113
Why a mod for silent camera? Just disable shutter tone in settings, and you have a silent camera.

Do you have a lists of "safe to removed" stock apps when the grand is already rooted?
Which of course it would not cause some lags or sluggish effects on the ui....
Thanks in advance....

Still it will have a binary count of 1 and the system status of "custom" so you cannot claim warranty at this condition.

Refer to the ROM threads of Balliboxer and k2wl for a list of removed apps. You can remove those apps based on their list using Titanium backup.

Theres absolutely no way Triangle away by chainfire makes binary count to 0 and system status as official. If it dose not work reset the counter again using triangle away
Samsung had added system status just recently. It is not there on the galaxy note. So we hope that chainfire et al will find a way to reset system status in the future.

Yes you can root with framaroot. And there is a retail asian SBF which i posted in another thread.

I've put the link for retail asian Defy+ on another thread:laugh:, how many times do i have to tell you this?
Here are the steps for rooting-
1. Take a backup of all your apps and data.
2. Download Framaroot 1.6.0 from the thread (don't forget to thank the dev) and download 2ndinit - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212.
3. Copy both apk files to your sd card.
4. Enable USB debugging and unknown sources in settings-->applications.
5. Open file manager and install and open the app.
6. Root.
7. Then install the 2ndinit apk.
8. Reboot, and when the LED becomes blue, immediately press the volume down button.
9. Then a screen will appear. Now you can choose an option by pressing volume button and go up/down by pressing volume up/down.
10. Choose recovery, then choose stable/custom recovery (whichever is there).
11. Choose backup and then choose backup all.
12. Be patient while it does the job, DO NOT TAKE OUT THE BATTERY IF YOU THINK IT IS STUCK.
13. Then the options screen will come back.
14. Now you can install custom ROMs, PM me if you need more help.
Don't stress yourself so much. Grab a fixed sbf of quarx cm 10.2 or what custom sbf you like. That's simple for you

In call mute not working
Team:
i noticed defy with JB4.3 during call mute is not working?
Hi Guys,
I have the same problem with the play store and tried to install the newest 4.3 build from Quarks.
But when I restart the phone the boot menu that has the extra option to wipe dalvik and cache is gone
also when trying to flash the latest version it says that the file is wrong.
Normally when restarting the phone there were multiple option what to do, this is gone with my current 4.3 build.
Can you tell me what i need to do to get the other bootmenu back?
Thanks!

Hi, and thanks for your reply!
I updated from Quarkx CM Version 4.2 to 4.3 and also have the System Updater Pro installed.
But since the last update when I open the restart menu, I don't have options to select what should happen after the restart.
As far as I remember I could choose between: Restart, Recovery mode, etc.
Also my recovery menu is now "Android system recovery (3e)".
Before that it looked like this:
cdn.androidbeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/twrp_scrn.png
When trying to update the rom I get the following error:
"E: failed to verify whole-file signature"
Maybe you have a hint for me how to fix that?
You have gone to the stock recovery. Reboot your device, then during red M logo a blue LED appears. Press volume down when you see the blue LED.

Have you tried turning it off, and leaving it off? I haven't used the delta system yet, but on my ROM/TWRP/phone, if I turn it off in recovery, then back into ROM and flash something that's not signed, the verification is still off and the flash succeeds.
... OR turn secure mode OFF.
