Hello. I wanted to update my G2(D802) from CM12 to 13 and now my phone is stuck at LG logo...
i flashed CM13, then gaps and then bootstack CAF and now i cannot access twrp using power and vol- buttons, i can only enter download mode. Maybe because i didnt flash them with the right order? What should i do now? i dont care if i flash cm13 or 12 or getting back to stock, i just need the fastest solution. THANKS.
Why dont you find the related threads in General and development sections . Read Read Read !
Flashtool and flashing stock ROM find threads about going back to stock rom.
you did the wrong order. its bootstacks reboot into recovery again from recovery then rom and gapps.
the way i did it was to clean wipe all and used a stock lollipop rom that was flashable.. cant remember if flashed hybrid bootstacks before..
when the rom was unzipped i couldnt open them they were in a different format i had 2 one was tar and the other .img.. so if am correct those are the kdz or tot roms in a flashable zip.. that was the easy way..

How to go back or downgrade from CM11 or PA4.4 to the LG stock Jelly Bean ROM?
The device has CWM and is rooted (if that helps in any procedure).
I heard using KDZ may brick it.
I couldn't find safe instructions after a quick search so I'm asking here to speed up things. I'll do more research myself and if I find out how to do it safely I'll get back here to answer the topic.
PS. No deal-breaker problems in either ROM but the phone will be used by someone else who wants LG stock ROM. <insert that smiley hitting the head in the wall>
Just flash correct KDZ and problem solved phone will return to stock. After flash make HARD RESET and phone will boot with no problem.
There's a flashable stock zip in Android Development section
Ok, let me just leave the topic answered. KDZ didn't recognize the phone at all and I was unable to enter that yellow emergency mode.
This is what I've done:
Downloaded one of szymel00's modified stock zips (couldn't find an original one): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335287
Via recovery, formatted all partitions except SD Card and installed it.
Now KDZ could recognize it and flash the stock ROM. After that reset to factory defaults via key combination and reboot. :good:
If i try either I get stuck on boot screen.
Doing everything by the book. But here's a run down of what's going on. I updated to lollipop prior to rooting. Then I flashed dynamic pop ROM. All good so far. I made a nandroid on stock rooted ROM. Then I flashed aicp stock ROM. All good again aside from ROM issues which is why I wanted to go back.
I have a Canadian note 4 910w8. If that matters. Latest twrp recovery. All relavent files on external SD.
All I want is my stock rooted ROM back. Did flashing the cm based aicp ROM mess with the build prop?
My device name is now trltetmo whereas it should say trltecan. Instead of trying to be a hero I'm hoping someone here can help me. I don't have a computer with me right now. So anything I do has to be done via
Recovery options.
I haven't tried to flash another stock based ROM. But what I have no is android 5.1.1 and I believe the tw based ROMs were 5.0.1
Would wiping internal storage fix my issue? I've never had to do it before. I assume should be OK to try
Hi,
As I understood you wish to install stock ROM to your Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910W8 Canadian running on a Virgin network) which means you are going to downgrade your firmware from Android 5.1.1 to 5.0.1. You also want to get root access once you have done that and twrp recovery. If I am right then you should download your stock ROM from sammobile.com/firmware and search for your version. I believe you have to search for this "N910W8VLU1BOC4_N910W8OYA1BOC4_VMC.zip" and flash it using ODIN v3.09.
If in case you have stuck in a boot loop (as you stated above) then enter Recovery Mode (Press Power + Home + Volume Up) and wipe cache. If you are still stuck on a boot loop then enter Recovery Mode again and do a Factory Reset (Note: factory reset will delete everything from your phone).
If you cannot enter Recovery Mode try going into Download Mode (Press Power + Home + Volume Down) and flash twrp recovery (in your case) or you can try flashing cwm or even use stock Recovery (this, if I remember well enough can be fixed by using CFautoroot method to root your device).
If you need any detailed information on how to do any of the above I can provide anything you need. Hope this helps, and let me know on what results you get.
PS: Sorry I cannot provide any links at the moment since I am a new user.
Hi everybody
i am a newbie here and require serious help
This morning i decided to flash dori kernel. I downloaded the ota app and through it i flashed the kernel But when it rebooted it got stuck into the dreadful fastboot mode
after that i tried to flash many different kernels through adb but nothing helped and it is still stuck in fastboot mode
After countless hours of searching (still searching) i found that i can fix this by flashing the kdz file in download mode
I absolutely dont want to lose my data as it has some files which are very very important to me
There are various posts which say that i can use normal flash in flash tool if i have the same kdz as before
but i dont know which kdz it had before
it only said d80220b
but when i search for it now there are various d80220b versions(europe, asia, france, taiwan, india)etc
now i want to know if i can flash any d80220b (europe, asia etc) in normal mode over my previous one without losing any data
I have 32 gb d802
If anybody has any other solution Please HELP :crying:

You flashed kernel for wrong variant...make sure you get correct kernel...power off the phone and continue to hold power button until lg screen flashes off again...now its off...hold power +vol down and when lg logo shows release and press both again quickly...a screenfor factory reset will show...follow instructions to where it will try factory reset and it will boot into twrp where you can fix with correct kernel or restore a backup

Thanks for the reply
The kernel was download by the Dorimanx ota app
It says d802 on it though
I can boot into recovery though I dont have twrp i have philz recovery
after that i tried to flash various d802 kernels through adb of philz recovery
but still it stuck at fastboot mode
I was not able to make a backup as the app booted into recovery and installed at once :crying:
Can you provide me a link to the right kernel or the stock d80220b kernel?
That might solve it

Are you on Kitkat or Lollipop? Dori's kernels are for Kitkat ONLY. If you have KK this is the correct kernel for your phone from Dori.

well i was able to fix it (boot into my rom) by flashing the d800 kernel
what does it mean?
does it mean that i have actually a d800 and not a d802?
but it says d802 in the about phone screen and i also checked the imei online it says d802?
So can i now flash the d802 lollipop kdz or the d800 kdz?
does it mean that i have a fake d802?
Yes it is a fake. Open the backcover and read the code..

I installed a bkd ROM that is like grola ROM based on f320. Someone said things about flashing partition back to normal. How is this done?
Anyone?
You flashed a f320 rom on an ls980? Am I understanding you correctly?
Well no, it's based on f320, but it had a aroma menu it had an option for a LS980, but some people were saying things about a changed partition, I'm not sure if I can flash anything else, I haven't tried being afraid to brick completely.

^ That's the original thread
Help? Anyone?
Autorec, downgrade bootloader & install recovery, reboot recovery flash bumped kernel, dont reboot, flash baseband, dont reboot, flash rom.
But there are several threads explaining deeper what you need.

Remove battery
Hold volume up
Insert battery
Connect usb cable
Enter fastboot command
Unlock bootloader
Flash twrp
Format data and cache
Flash custom ROM
Your method will not work
method will not work. I fixed it after a lot of trying.
Solution: Flash an old version of TWRP(like 2.8). Kitkat doesn't support the newer versions of TWRP. This is why flashing new TWRP doesn't work. Now install the stock ROM of KitKat cm11 and install Stock recovery. UPDATE cm 11 to cm12 using official updates using stock recovery. Now flash new TWRP and it will work. I don't use this site a lot but if you ever see someone askung this then this method will work.
