Hi guys need a help here. So, my nexus 6p screen toggles on once every minute or so while charging and i can't figure out what caused it. This is without input from the user.
i'm running stock rom 6.0.1 with elementalx 1.02, rooted with double tap 2 wake enabled.
The timing which it toggles on are : 19:31 19:31 19:33 19:34 19:34

Are you using Greenify? Same thing happened to me and removing Greenify stopped it.
Lightflow also caused a similar issue for me.

Hi!
After the 5.0 Lollipop update, the heart rate monitor on my S5 will turn the red light on any time that I touch it but only when the screen is on and every time I reboot it, it will say 'Android is Upgrading' but it will only do it for the one app (eg. Optimising app 1 of 1). It's never been rooted or flashed, completely stock in other words. I received the update OTA a couple of days ago. My S5 is running EE firmware (UK) if that helps. I can't find any other people having any issues with it so far. Any help is appreciated!

Google Health causes pulse monitor is constantly on. Try removing if installed.
Do a factory reset if still have problems.
Yeah, it's the Google Fit activity detection. If you disable that and reboot it will switch the heart rate monitor off.
You can see that when you enable activity detection, it requests permission to access the monitor. It would be nice to be able to enable the activity detection but not the HRM though.
I was searching for info about this heart monitor issue. I've uninstalled Google Fit and it seems to have fixed it.
Thanks!
I just need to resolve the battery issue now, it's brutal since the Lollipop update.
Thanks for the help! The heart rate monitor isn't constantly on now! Only other thing is that every time I boot it up it says "Android is Upgrading: Optimising App 1 of 1", I've wiped the cache partition but it didn't do anything.
I have waited for months, there's a solution for fit to work already?
Hey guys I now had my Nexus 6p for a few weeks and I have already rooted it and installed xposed on it (I'm running newest stock 6.0.1). Since a few hours auto rotation doesn't work anymore and the YouTube app behaves strangely (in every video its showing a forward and backward button and to make the buttons invisible I have to press an x on the screen. I think the last app I installed before was xModGames (that's what I get for cheating :/). Anyways I reinstalled it and disabled a few xposed modules but nothing helped.
I'd be ready happy if anyone could tell me what this is and how to fix it.
(I'm also using Gravity Box but it was always working perfect)
EDIT:it's all working again but my YouTube app and the camera app are still behaving strangely
Hello everyone I have the HTC One M8 running CM13 and I have this problem where VR apps start rapidly clicking with this white dot in the middle of the screen as soon as they're started up. The phone then becomes unresponsive as it is registering clicks from it, making the phone freeze up. The only way I can get out of this is by locking the phone and rebooting the phone from the lock screen. I thought it was the magnetometer in the phone doing this so I installed an app to read it and searched up the normal ratings for what the sensor should be at and everything looks fine. I have tried reinstalling Android with a different version and still the issue persists. After a while the phone starts heating up from this and on some of the VR apps I have tried that use the same cardboard system the phone will rapidly vibrate as well. I have spent hours trying to figure out what may be causing this and still, no luck. The phone is not in a case, no magnets are any where near it. NFC is turned off, all apps are updated. If anyone knows a solution to this issue that would be great, thanks!
*Bump* I still have this issue, can someone please help me with this?
It now seems to be happening in Pokemon Go... *Sighs*

I have the exact same issue, the only time when the white dot wasn't showing was when my gyroscope was malfunctioning or just simply "off". I have no clue how to switch it off though.

had the exact same issue. same in pokemon go which ist a vr app. on several cm13 roms on my old m8.
only way i could fix it was to install a GPE rom. might be a cm13 bug for the m8 which never got fixed. so i guess anything not cm (aosp, gpe, stock) will work.
i dont own the m8 anymore but my old one and the one of a friend had ur issue on cm13. on gpe rom everything worked.

This problem was fixed a long time ago. The problem was the uncalibrated gyroscope, which they took out a few days after this thread was made. Just update your phone and it should work
Same exact issue
I have an Lgg3, same process I removed the magnet thinking that was the issue, I updated all apps, removed app and re-downloaded them, have an unlocked phone running total wireless so I used a Verizon sim and updated the phone to the newest version, recalibrated the phone, nothing I mean nothing I can find will work for this issue that I can find. Only does it with 360 apps not on 180.

Recently I noticed that my screen doesnt adjust the brightness levels automatically, so I downloaded apps to do it but it fails as well. Thinking that maybe my light sensor is faulty, i downloaded sensor apps to check it out.
To my surprise, none of the sensors are working in that app. Things like gyroscope, gravity, magnet, light, proximity. Nothing is reflected in the app.. What is happening? And how do i get them to be working?
I am running stock ROM on elementalx kernel using ghostpepper profile. Using gravitybox. amplify, greenify and forcedoze. Can anyone enlighten me please? Thanks!

it happens to me on android n dp3 along with frequent reboots. on marshmallow, its fine.
Make a backup and flash a stock ROM and check. Most likely your software setup is the problem

If you are running android n, theres no fix coz its beta, for marshmallow you can try reverting to previous version if it was working well for you before you updated in case.
After updating to 6.0.1 my phone been giving me issues. Its been over a few months and I've done everything. Restoring back to factory to LP and the issues are still there. Just found this software on the Playstore called "Wakelock" and been using it for several days and been working for me. No more lagging, rebooting or freezing issues. Hope this works for you guys as well!

wakelock doesnt work for me. it still freezes then requires a battery pull. I ordered a used note 4, will be using that one on 4.4.4 stock maybe and mess around with this one when I have time.
Thanks for the tip! This does seem to improve things (at the expense of some battery life). #4 is the setting I'm using successfully (in the app).
