help to root SG SM-N910L lollipop 5.1.1

help to root SG SM-N910L lollipop 5.1.1
help
some help ..??
wanna know also
No root available for SM-N910L running 5.1.1. yet. Samsung has updated Android 5.1.1 with root block and the only way to get around it is to install custom kernel. There are available custom kernel for Note 4 but not the model SM-N910L. I will try to downgrade to 5.0.1. and see what happens... If you force it with root script not made for this model, you will be stuck in bootloop forever! aka soft brick....
5.1.1
All I have to say is NOTE 4 sucks with 5.1.1. We can't downgrade or root. worst than a bootloop
any solution to root 910L 5.1.1?

in other threads whenever someone was mentioning custom kernels for 910c/f/g they suggested talextop and suemax kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=429310591)
on the first post for those kernel i didn't read anywhere specifically that 910L would be supported.
some still suggested it in the posts though.
As I'm 5.1.1 also and just saw a massive 1197MB update available I can only assume it's the 6.0
As some with 910C said they succeded with rooting at the end of the above thread: is it worth trying the upgrade to later have better chances on root? Or has there any method been found for 910L 5.1.1 root?

Note 4 should i upgrade from kitkat (4.4.4) to lolipop (5.1.1)?

Performance seems to be better on lolipop, how about the battery life??
Also is there any bugs on 5.1.1 excluding the sd card grammatical error.
Thanks in advance.

Yes you should 5.1.1 is alot smoother than 4.4.4 and close to 4.4.4 in terms of battery but not as good. You get new interface, better graphics and features. Now the important stuff whichever device you are using 910C-OR-910F when you update to 5.1.1 do it by downloading firmware from sammobile and flash it with odin and the reason is that samsung has locked the bootloader in latest 5.1.1 (u will get the latest 5.1.1 if u update via ota) and it means once you are on 5.1.1 with a locked bootloader you cant go back to 5.0.1 or 4.4.4. All 5.1.1 builds with bootloader number COJ5 and above like COL have locked bootloader you should download 5.1.1 with bootloader coj3, coi3, or pok1. basically anything below coj5 is safe. :good::good::good:

Only for the improved notification handling I would upgrade

[I9500] Downgrade 6.0.1 to 4.4.2

Hello all, quick question
I have an S4 I9500 running GearCM13 (6.0.1) and I want to go back to stock 4.4.2, would following this guide do the trick or is it no longer possible to downgrade?
If this has already been discussed, a link is appreciated as I've searched and found nothing conclusive.
Thanks
It depends on your bootloader. If you never upgraded the bootloader from 4.4.2 you should be able to go back to stock rather easily. You may be able to go back even with an upgraded bootloader, since both the 5.0.1 bootloader and 4.4.2 bootloaders have Knox. You'll just have to try the guide.

Thanks, that's the info I needed.
To summarize the whole situation which led me to want to downgrade: I was on GEARCM13 and battery drain was too much to handle so I wanted to go back to a KK 4.4.2 rom (Ozcan) but then I read about Infernus Rom (Based 5.1.1 Ale95 Note Port) and went that way. Strephon's info helped me notice I didnt have to downgrade anything since I have a 5.0.1 bootloader.
Kinda convoluted response, if anyone wants further details, please pm.

can i directly downgrade from Marshmallow (6.0.1) to kitkat (4.4.2) using odin?

does it work to downgrade the stock firmware directly from marshmallow to kitkat using odin on SM-G900F ? or should i downgrade it first to lollipop and then to kitkat ? i heard there is some "trouble" with the last 6.0.1 firmware version that prevents you to downgrade to kitkat anymore.
i want to downgrade it bechause as far i've heard the kitkat stock rom had the best possible battery life on this device.
and from where can i get the official download links for odin and samsung usb drivers for galaxy S5, since google search is full of bait links with malware...

Your best bet is to post this question within the following thread.

I DO NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT VIA PM UNLESS ASKED/REQUESTED BY MYSELF.
PLEASE KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
yes you can do that, there is no order o respect
you can install any version you would like even if it sa downgrade
as longer you gonna do it with odin correctly, there s nothing to worry abt
PS : only an advice, if you are looking for good battery life + performance and new UI and all, i strongly suggest a CUSTOM ROM such as NEMESIS REBORN is perfect
Good luck
