I'm getting brand new Note 4 but can't decide which one to get, since i have both options to get, Snapdragon 805 is 32bit and Exynos 5433 is 64bit. Is Exynos one better for future updates, and how is Snapdragon handling Lollipop or how it will handle Marshmallow?
Thanks
Snapdragon for battery life.
Exynos for overall performance .

Hi guys,
I am going to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 soon. However the variant which is available to me is the N900 with the Exynos 5420 processor.
The thing is that, I am a bit confused about the GP. It is running a Mali-T628 MP instead of the Adreno 330 on the N9005 models. Will I notice a visible difference in gaming? Is the Mali that bad against the latest Adreno.
Also, do you think that the HMP patch that Samsung hinted at, to unleash the true 8 cores might affect the GPU performance later on?
The processor is the only thing that is stopping me from getting this variant. Please guys, help me out on this.

Adreno 330 is so good but
Mali in note3 is Octa GPU and clocked higher than adreno 330 (u can find and compare by wikipedia)
both of them are so powerful however adreno shows more score in graphic benchmark but it s not that high but cpu in exynos is about 2000scores more than snapdragon (in antutu benchmark)
anyway u won't lose anything if buy snap or exynos both of them are awesome
:good:
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Hey guys. Is there anyone with Exynos Note 4 and Lollipop tried running Antutu yet? Just curious about the score compared to the new 810 and Exynos 7.
Over 50k points on my phone.

its getting 55k
cant compete with exynos 7. gpu is more powerfull and i believe integer multi core test is wrong for exynos 7 or exynos 5433. so that makes difference. they are neck to neck in single core but exynos 7 doubles in multicore and its wierd. antutu sucks anyway doesnt matter.
I see thanks. I know Exynos 7 is a beast but I'm curious how Exynos 5433 match against Snapdragon 810. There is an Antutu benchmark for HTC One M9 with 810 scoring only 55k and I know Exynos 5 is about 52k.
So 810 is just a minor improvement against Exynos 5.

Is there a big difference between the gpu? What more can we expect from a mobile game that 5433 or even 805 can't handle? Just curious. Tnx.

20%-30% better in gpu i think. I dont think there will be any game that 5433, s805 cant handle soon. 7420 s810 doesnt worth an upgrade just wait for better socs.
That's big if that's true. I think 810 is not that much of an upgrade than 5433 and even than 805. But 7420 is quite a substantial one against 5433, 805 and even 810. It's also 14nm.
Thanks for the response. Not getting an S6 though, I'm a note guy. I just hope they don't remove SD and removable battery on Note 5.

Howwwwww????????????????????? Mine is always less than 48k!!!!!!!! But on kitkat I used to get over 53k ALL THE TIME.
Hai to all,
N910G [Indian Version - note 4] has snapdragon where as N9000 [Indian version - note 3] has exynos octa core A15 [1.9ghz] & A7 [1.3ghz]
Now, i've some doubts, hope experts as well as owners of devices here will clear...
1. Note 4 exynos has 64 bit processors, will it be good for future while compared to Snapdragons one???
2. Note 3 Indian version has exynos octa, namely its octa but at a time only 4 cores will active so seems be quad core performance i think...
while in exynos note 4, all cores are active at a time. So, in update wil all cores of note 3 will run at a time??
3. About gpu, Adreno is good or Mali in note 4 variants according to graphics as well as temperature ??
4. i've seen exynos are 20nm & snapdragons are 28nm in note 4, is dis differtiate note 4 variants too much???
5. In India, note 3 [exynos] costs 400$ & note 4 [snapdragon] costs 570$... which will u prefer me to buy [based on exynos & snapdragon & some what price ]???
6. This is not related to Note Devices,
Is high sar value device is good or low value sar device???
lenovo k3 note has 1.6sar at head while note 4 has only 0.3 at head, so which is good for use??
Thanks a lot....
In a big confusion , help me experts and owners..... Thanks again.....
1.Indian variant Note 4 is not 64 bit.It's 32 bit
2.No they'll not enable hmp in the update as Note 3 is a old device
3.Mali has better games compatibility whereas adreno has more fps as per benchmarks.I haven't used exynos Note 4.Yes exynos variants are cooler than sd one
4.Didn't get you
5.Note 4 as its a newer device with android updates, better camera, screen.Although smoothness wise Note 3 is ahead
6.No knowledge about that

Thanks for ur response Rishi....
I know Indian Variant is not 64 bit,
Still samsung didn't publish exynos variants are 64bit capable...
What am asking is is exynos variants are surely 64bit???
If i bought exynos variant from KSA,
may i hav warrenty in India???
Yes samsung chip is 64 bit but they haven't enabled it & you won't get any warranty in India coz chipset is different. You might not be able to get it repaired from samsung even if you want to pay

Battery life on GS6 on Exynos 7420 (14nm) was terrible even worse than on Snapdragon 810 (20nm).
Because of faulty ARM design BigLittle.
Disappointment level in terms of battery life was almost the same.
In 2016 new Exynos 8890 apply the same faulty ARM BigLittle architecture as for the Exynos 7420 last year.
Qualcomm with SD820 applying new custom quad-core architecture.
In Europe we get offered only the old one infamous BigLittle architecture.
What do you think about?

There is already a battery life thread here. Do we need another one

Why worry about such things at this time? Nobody reviewed it. And big.LITTLE is not faulty. Kirin 950 is doing pretty good with that. Any batterylife issues in S6 was not due to SOC, but wakelocks and standby times. Anandtech reviewed 7420 extensively, and they said it was the best SOC at that time. If big.LITTLE was faulty, you think these thousands of engineers would not have changed to something else by now??
Also it's not CCI-400 interconnect this time, Samsung using their own interconnect. So before testing anything don't draw conclusions.
And as @omeryounos mentioned, there is already a battery thread open. Discuss there.
Thread closed.

Hello everyone
Im going to buy a Note 4 but Which one should I get?
Which one is better at; gaming, battery life and developer friendly? (Is there a prefered model number in terms of rom support?)I really need to know becuase Im keeping it for at least one year.
And btw is there any news about android 7.0 for Note 4?
Thanks
The only reason I see to get the Snapdragon variant is if you wanna use AOSP based ROMs. Exynos all the way.
Nougat? No way mate.
Depends on how your usage is , if you use your device for office purpose , then EXYNOS is what I advice .
Exynos 5433 is 64 bit and snapdragon 805 is 32 bit .
Exynos is octacore and big.LITTLE's architecture utilises the two quad core processor very efficiently, the battery is not bad on any variant comparitively.
Snapdragon is better in terms of development.
As snapdragon is open source , it gets more support from developers .
If you put heavy tasks on your note 4 , then EXYNOS will handle it very well without any lag.
On the other hand snapdragon is well supported by gaming softwares like gameloft . So in Gpu related tasks , snapdragon will perform better.
If you will be using it for a year , then snapdragon is better cause custom roms are well supported on it.
CM14 :Nougat is already in alpha stage .
Final verdict:
Snapdragon : if you are an avid gamer and also because it is well supported by developers .
Exynos :because it performs heavy tasks without any lag at all.
Finally its your choice...
For snapdragon , n910g or n910f is preferable , mostly look for n910f . Both have same development support.
For exynos, i dint know ,look for the one with unlocked bootloader.

Good informational post. :good:
I've seen many people on this forums saying that SD is worse in gaming, battery and custom roms, which is untrue.

SD will get it definitely, as for exynos I doubt and even if it gets cm14 , it won't be stable.
Depends on the developers .
