So i just installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 to my mobile. I had problems with slw charge before cm too. I have got the stock samsung charger, i have tried 2 another charger too but its the same, and multiple plugs but no change. There is nothing in my mobile ehich could cause this. Sometimes even my mobile discharge a little while its plugged. I turn off everything, wifi, sync, etc.. My charger doesnt fit very well to my mobile port, so i have to move it and fix it with something, to connect, but its working , and i can copy , paste from the mobile while connectd to pc.
Ampere says that its charging with about 60 to 120 mA.
I dont know what to do, maybe my mobile port damage, but maybe there is other sulotion.
60 to 120mA, bro that's not safe. I think you'll have to clean the connector or change it and then check the charger
What do you mean that its not safe?
Two possibilities
1)- your charger is screwed up
2)- your port is dirty (maybe)
What would be the good mA ?
Mine is from 600mA to 720mA
Wow i found out what was the problem. I used a distributive, or how you call it (transalated it ) and from that it's only charging with an avarage of 100. Now i connected diirectly to the plug, and it's charging about 600 to 700 mA. I would never think that would be the problem, becaouse i used the distributive every time, and it was working fine.
I have the same problem. First noticed the problem on CyanogenMod 12.1. Reverted back to stock, and I was getting 100% full battery. Then, after a while I noticed that my battery was bulging, so I changed it. Got a new battery, the problem is still there even on Stock ROM, this time. Got a battery App called Battery Monitor Widget, or something,,, to check my mA flow while charging and when the battery is empty I was getting 850mA, but as it was getting fuller the mA flow value was dropping. Today for example, it was fluctuating at around 70mA at 90%, and it wouldn't go higher. I removed the battery for a few minutes, then put it back in and it indicated 100% when I turned on the phone. I waited till the phone was 90% battery and plugged back the charger, and the mA flow was around 400, and at 99% it dropped down to 175mA. I don't know what causes this kind of behavior, but it's frustrating as hell.
My charger charges at 2A, and let me tell you, this thing charges pretty fast!!

I dont know what caused this to happen, because i havent flashed anything new on my phone or made any changes for like a week now, but today when i got home from school and plugged in my phone, a few seconds later i get the messaged telling me that it is fully charged, even though the battery on the status bar says it is at 20%. i tried wiping the battery stats in cwm but it didnt fix it.
Possibly dirty usb port/connector. Otherwise, turn the phone off to charge it. If it still doesn't charge right, it could be that the battery went bad.
oh lol i cant believe i didnt realize this. i just got a new keyboard and i had my phone charger plugged into the usb port that is on the back of they keyboard, i shouldve known it cant charge off of that i was being stupid hah. plugged it into the computer and it works fine.

The phone will say it is charged when you plug it into a USB port with too low of a current rating.
I do not know what the cutoff threshold is, however I have a variety of USB ports and adapters that I charge my phone off of and some of them work great, but a couple of them have extremely low current ratings and the phone just says "charged" because it is not seeing enough power go into the battery.
This might be considered a bug, if there was a way for the hardware / charging drivers to measure the strength of the USB port the phone is attached to instead of solely looking at the current flowing into the battery.
Hrm. Weird that it would report charged when it doesn't get enough current to properly charge.
On a related note - I would also recommend doing a deep drain / charge cycle about once per month, to calibrate the battery charge sensor.
- Charge your phone to 100%.
- Then discharge it down to 0%.
- Then charge it back up to 100% via the OS.
- Turn the phone off, and keep it plugged in to the charger. A green battery icon will appear, and indicate when the battery is fully charged to 100%.
- Reboot the phone into recovery, and wipe battery stats.
Doing this about once per month for any Li-Ion battery will help calibrate the battery charge sensors on the device, giving you more accurate battery charge stats.
Hi all.. My Evo Shift 4G seems to have developed a charging issue.. I'm not sure if the phone is not reading the voltage from the battery properly or what.. Basically, my phone will not charge over 85%... In other words -- it never reaches 90%+ on the phone, which would typically cause the charging indicator to change from amber to green.
I've watched what the phone supposedly sees with 'Battery Monitor Widget'. Currently, the phone has been on the AC charger for about 7 hours... The phone reports 77% charged, 32.1 degrees C for the battery, 4024mV. I've watched it during the charge cycles, and when the battery is low, the current is definitely being applied to the battery -- around 500-600 mA. When it gets close to 70%, however, it starts ramping down the current.. Right now, at that 77% level, it is showing 0mA being applied to the charging circuit.
I have 3 batteries -- two HTC original batteries, one about 2 weeks old, the other from March.. I also have a 3rd party battery.. All of the batteries behave the same in MY phone.. If I throw the batteries into a couple of friend's HTC phones (one has a Hero, the other a MyTouch 4G) -- their phones report the charge at 100%.
I also have an external charger -- if I charge the batteries in that fully, my phone shows 85% charge, while my friend's phones will show the batteries at 100%. Likewise, if I put their batteries in my phone once theirs are fully charged, my phone will show it at 85%.
Anyone know how or if I can correct this?
Thanks,
Rick
Have you tried clearing the battery stats and re-calibrating?

I would suggest you do that.
Your phone would have to be rooted though.

It is rooted.. I get the same behavior on CM7 or the rooted OTA 2.3 update by x99..
I've tried clearing the battery stats.. That has not worked.. I believe it comes down to a problem with how my phone is reading the voltage of the battery..
Worked for me...
I had the same problem but the it could charge to 93ish% percent, not 85. I fixed by clearing the battery stats, setting the screen to never go off, and left it on overnight (while I'd been using it all day), recharged it to full while it was off the next morning, and unplugged the charger and reinserted it until when I could plug it in starting with the light green. Following, I turned it on while it was still plugged in, downloaded the battery calibration app from the market, and calibrated it.
Afterwards, I've been able to get the same outrageous battery life that others claimed they got on roms like evervolv and miui, and been able to charge to full. See if this works for you.
Have you tried a different charger? Say if you are using the wall try a usb or if using a usb try a wall. Just a suggestion don't know if it'll work.
EDIT: Looks like I need to follow my own rules and read everything fully. Sorry for the ignorant post it'll prob be no help!

I've tried charging via a number of different chargers:
1) HTC AC Charger (5V/1A)
2) Computer USB (5V 500mA)
3) Palm Pre AC Charger (5V/1A)
4) Palm Pre Car Charger (5V/1A)
5) Aftermarket AC Charger (5V/1A)
I think there may be a problem with CWM. I tired the wipe battery stats a few times (7) and it seems like it didn't do anything. Then I downloaded an app from the market called battery calibration, wiped with the app. I think it actually worked with the app, as my run times went from about 8-9hrs to well over 24. Hope this helps - Viperspike
From what i understand, charge to 100%, turn phone off and charge a little more, reboot, wipe batt stats and unplug. Run all the way down to zero (phone shutdown) and restart one more time (it should immediately turn off) Then plug in the charger, and reboot. Once on the charger make sure it charges uninterrupted until it reaches 100% the first charge.
Thats the problem.. I can never get anywhere near 100% -- 85% is the top.. At that point current drops to 0mA and the charging circuit turns off.
I did send a support request to HTC.. This is their response:
You were having issues with the battery life on your HTC EVO Shift 4G. You mention that you have tried another battery but you cannot get the LED indicator light to turn green or the charge percentage to go above 85%. You state that you have tested your two batteries in a friend’s MyTouch 4G and HTC Hero. Both devices show 100% when there is an indication of a full charge. Unfortunately, there might be another hardware related issue causing this to occur so I would suggest you consider a repair request for your Android device.
Hello, it has been happening to me for last 2 days that when I put the phone on charger, the battery sometimes charges at an extremely slow rate (14% to 23% in 1.5 hrs), and sometimes it even discharges while the charger is connected. I am attaching the battery screen here.
You can see that first it goes down from 100 during morning to evening. This is normal behavior owing to my usage. Then I charged it and up goes the curve with a high angle because I use a good charger. This is also fine. Then I disconnect and heavily use the phone again and then put the phone on charger overnight. This is where the problem starts!
Now you see, first of all the battery starts going up then it suddenly starts dropping while still on charger. I woke up to find 23% battery after charging overnight. I noticed in the screenshot that my phone was constantly waking up all night long, may be this could have been the problem. So I connected it to charger again to see the battery level rising in front of my eyes. But again, after 3 hours I found that my battery is 51% and the curve has started to fall down again, and this time there were not enough wakeups.wakelocks.
I am using a powerful charger. It is made in china but it charges all the phones in my home perfectly. I also tried on another charger (also probably china) with the same results on my phone only.
I am using the stock rom, unrooted (can't root version 182.*.*.*)
Do you have thinks running in the background while you charge? Mines charges a lot faster if I turn off internet, kill background apps.
Also is it overheating while chsrgeing? You get a better charge if the phone stays cool
And third your phone might think the charger is a computer. I say this because mines charges really sloe when I connect it to a computer, like 12% per hour. Try a third charger, diffrent brand and wattage compared to the ones yoive tried. it might help.
yes there are background apps but there hasn't been a change which triggered this. the background have worked fine before.
no overheating issue. in fact, this device always feels cooler.
I've always used this charger, my whole family uses it without any issue but now the problem just started happening to me. and even with me the problem is not constant. I just charged up to 50% without any problem. there is one thing left to try. that is, I should try to restart in safe mode and try charging in that mode. if that works fine then it's definitely an app, otherwise the issue may be bigger.
Hey guys.
Since one week i have a problem with charging my OPT. I have used the original charger and cable all the times when i charge it during the night. When i connected it to and PC or Power Bank i used a USBC cable from amazon.
Since a few days the charging takes very(and i really mean very) long. Even over night(6-8 h) i get maybe only 50-60% in flight mode. I also tried the charger of my Pollux (~1,5A) also with no satisfying results. Before the unit gets warm during charge, but nowadays it stays cool.
Somebody had the same issues? Can it be the Ressurection rom? ( i am using it since may and it always charged properly)
Somebody has a workaround? or i have to send it in for repair again?
So firstly, you are saying you run a Custom ROM? Looks like battery stats are incorrect. Do to Recovery mod and wipe the battery stats. Also I suggest charge phone to 100% and then wipe battery stats
Try to charge with phone off and report back
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
I charged the phone all night off. It still is below 50%. I will save all the DATA and will install the latest version of the Rom. Lets see what happens. It seems the phone only takes 500mA. Maybe a USB connection setting is messed up...
Will report back
Hey screamor I had the same issue. I checked the charging speed with the "Ampere" app and it said that I only charge with 10 - 300 Mah , so I tried everything - airplane mode , underclock CPU and charge with phone off but nothing really helped but since I use Benchholds kernel 3.6 my op2 charge with normal speed and also the "Ampere" app says that the loading speed increased to 1300 - 1540 mah
Maybe you should try this also and report back if it helps you too
To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Honor Play can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Battery Backup is good / Charging is fast too.
In the battery section, Honor managed to put a 3750 mAh battery and believe me, it is enough for the device being in the price range along with providing so much of features. Its battery could easily provide a day of backup with particularly my type of regular usage (Some chit chats here and there, Two/Three hours of music playback via headphone, some camera things, regular calling and obviously games for an hour or two.
Now about charging speed of Honor play, it is very good. it can fully charge within 80-100 minutes.
~Happy to Help
To charge from 0 to 100 it takes 1 hour and 40 mins.
Battery backup is damn GOOD and charging is quick too.
I normally charge only upto 80% [i use charging alarm] and it lasts for a day+ . Discharge rate is 2%/hr if left alone with Data ON - Wifi ON.
Problem is,The company is not taking care of the accessories department. I need to buy additional charger but it's out of stock for so many days .... The charging speed in other fast chargers is good but not as good as the original charger.
Few things :
1, my play never reach 0%. It switches off at 2%.
2, I use Sony charger (from my XZ1) and from 2% to 100% is charged in 77 minutes.
3, the USB cable is also from the XZ1.
Strange for me is that I used Samsung charger (S8) and despite having stronger output(compared to Sony) it took me to fully charged the phone 118 minutes.
issue fix

hi,
1. you are right it shutdown in 2%. it is because to protect battey health. most most of the phones out there will not show this % for eg; if you try to restart those phone after 0% you can see still the phone vibrates or shows battery symbol it is because it have some battery charge to protect battery , however this phone shows the 2%. .
2 and 3 . every cargers wont work for every phone(s8 however) but some of them work(xz1 however) it is because it is not capable with that phone dont check voltage power for that ... (to check ). use original charger (recomended) because it saves battey health and phone from heat and over voltage(if your phone failes over voltage protection) .

Quick Charge not working
Hi,
My COR-L29 doesn't quick charge any more. I know it's not my charger as I've tested it on another phone. I've just installed a new system update, but the problem persists. I've hit optimise in the phone manager app.
Any help would be appreciated.
It takes under 2 hours to charge from 0% to 10%

Take care of your system version, some old versions are quick charge
I don't understand your reply. The current version is quick-charge also.
I fixed it, the USB sub-board was faulty.

Change the type-C cable. It is possibly the cause of the problem. I have changed mine in such a situation and the charging is fast as it is supposed to be.
EDIT: I have seen that you have found a solution.
