Just wandering, as there aren't any in stock around where I live. Are the edges of the phone around the screen flush/seamless? Or are they sharp and raised a bit to protect the screen?
Trivial question I know. I prefer phones where your thumb slides smoothly off the screen. On the Moto X Play they seem quite sharp.
Pretty smooth on the Style. There's a slight ridge around the edge of the screen, but nothing your fingers will notice...

it's not as smooth as the moto x (2014) but still has the rounded edges. no sharpnes at all ?

Hey,guys. What do you think of the edges of Droid 2?Is it made of metal?
Feels like plastic to me
Yep. Plastic, for sure.
Hey, I noticed during some videos that the thickness of the phone decreases towards the bottom, and now I was wondering if someone could give me a little insight or impression on that.
Is the thickness of the Razr m (8.3mm/0.33in) measured at the top or bottom?
and if its measured from the bottom, how thick is the top?
Thanks a lot, all answers are appreciated! :good:
Mine measures:
10.6mm / 0.42" at the top edge
9.04mm / 0.35" at the bottom edge of the screen bezel
There is a very slight raised bezel on both front and rear of my phone, so the thickness shown here is measured across the edges of those bezels.
Measured from the surface of the screen to the kevlar rear panel, it's slightly thinner since the lightly raised bezels are out of the picture:
10.2mm at the top, tapering to 8.4mm at the bottom
Hope this info helps. For what it's worth, my RAZR M is 2.398" wide (looks like Moto/VZW must round down!) and 4.822" tall.
On my scale, it's 125g or 4.41oz.
yes this helps a lot ! thank you
Hey guys,
There is a vertical area on the left side of screen that is about 1cm tall that feels 'rough' to the touch.
It doesn't feel all that bad, but it's not as smooth as the rest of the screen. My feeling is that the oleophobic coating is wearing off in that area, but it has only been a month.
Anyone else has this problem?

I see that search function worked well for you.

I have a Moto X Pure at the moment, but I'm considering returning it for a Nexus 6P.
One thing I like about the MXP is that the speaker/mic/earpiece grilles extend slightly beyond the surface of the glass, and the top/bottom of the screen curve outward slightly so that you can't scratch the screen on any grit that may be on the surface you sit the phone down on.
My last few phones have had design elements like this, and I've come to appreciate being able to safely sit the phone on its face when I don't want to be distracted.
Does the N6P have any design elements like this? Or does sitting it face down mean direct contact with the screen glass?
Glass will touch when face down.

Most cases or bumpers have a raised edge to remedy. Screen doesn't touch with my Adopted or Speck cases....
Urg. I never use cases, so I'd definitely have to change the way I handle my phone a bit.
Thanks for the answer!
I am looking for a case with good grip and tall enough edges to protect the screen and to cover up the edges of the phone so that the edges don't interfere with I'm using the phone. The edges regularly screws up Swiftkey and other apps because the fingers of the hand holding the phone accidentally triggers parts of the edges.
Any recommendations?

I'm in the same boat as you, I hate the edges and the only reason I bought the edge version was because of the battery and bigger screen. I was coming from a Note 4 (in the UK we didn't get the Note 5).
What I did was disable the edge screens and I'm using the Caseology Parallax series case. (I'm also using SwiftKey without any issues)
It has a pretty cool indented diamond texture on the back, and I'm using it with a "glass" screen protector with everything working as it should.
It protects the screen well and it feels good in the hand.
Here's a link to the case:

I hope this helps.
I would recommend:
https://obliqproduct.com/collection...xy-s7-edge-case-slim-meta?variant=20365703873
https://www.spigen.com/collections/...-s7-edge-case-tough-armor?variant=11972837569
The spiegen is better than the obliq in grip. Advantage for Obliq is the embosed keys.
In my oppinion, you can always buy Spiegen. Mostoften best choice for everything. This is my 2nd Spiegen Case (firs one for LG G4).
You will not find any half protecting case with lips for the edge.
Alternative you can choose a full cover like this:

Should have added palm rejection in nougat update ?
Caseology is a good choice i love it
BEST case is X doria Defense on Amazon. Trust me.
I have an poetic affinity. Good grip on the sites.
