CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
Install instructions:
Reboot into recovery (latest official TWRP recommended).
Wipe Data, System and Cache if it's a fresh install.
No wipes required if you're updating from a previous version of CM 13.0 (Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache recommended).
Flash ROM + Gapps.
Reboot.

Can you tell me any working custom kernel? I tried ZurionX 1.0,2.0 (Uber) & Stuxnet+, Phone gets stuck at Mi Logo. I miss DT2W
I am using this ROM from yesterday. Very smooth and I am not getting any FC's anywhare except when I am using CM13 theme & trying to re-organize QS tiles. Till now, no SOD & unlike Ivan's AOSP, hardware buttons are off during call. GPS & Compass working properly. Stock Camera works, though I mainly use ColorOS cam & that one is also working fine. There is a network switching issue though, i.e. once you connect to WiFi & then disconnect, HSDPA does not comes up until I switch back from Airplane mode. Solution to that would be to enable Mobile Data all along (MM Feature) by going to Developer Options > Cellular Data Always Active. In this way, cellular data is not getting used while in WiFI, but after switching off wifi, cellular data connection remains. Xposed for MM is working fine (I am using Amplify, BootManager, CM Settings, Greenify, Network Speed Indicator).
It's too early for me to comment about battery life, but one thing I can confirm, Dozer is working fine. Only 1% battery got reduced while I was sleeping
After cleaning all apps (google services running & phone is not on airplane mode) with Greenify & setting the CPU in performance mode, I am getting Antutu score 47244.
All in all, this ROM can be used as a daily driver. Thanks for bringing this ROM to Mi :good:

Wow update so quickly to android 6.0.1! Nice rom!
Enviado desde mi MI 3W mediante Tapatalk
Installed it some while back.
As in usual CM kernels, also in this. Despite setting max CPU frequency, the CPU goes above it.
Also I was facing some little slutters (I did set animations at 1x)
Zeurian X 2.0 final test build works
Embedded battery percentage under System Tuner doesn't work.
Access Points give FC.
I applied a layers theme, can see the installed layers under uninstall of Layers Manager, but it didn't get applied dunno why.
And as far my past Lollipop experience goes with applying Layers theme, layers manager never worked properly for me but using an other or older (not sure) manager worked. Haven't tried in this one.
Xposed, Now On Tap, etc stuff except Camera did work fine.
PS it has inbuilt root
Hope to see working camera! work witch other camera apps?
It's fast real fast. Seems slow at charging maybe that'll improve in a couple cycles. Where is this inbuilt root at? Programs are saying it doesn't have root and I can't find any options to turn it on

Well I already had SuperSU ZIP installed and I saw Root option under Developer Settings (not sure if the ZIP affected it, but it shouldn't be the case).
Well the max frequency remains stick (not like in Ivan etc ROM that the max frequency used to get reset automatically). But almost all CM kernel don't follow the max frequency. The CPU runs at higher ones despite setting it (I can see the cores live frequency, didn't care to see the CPU state)
Omni is best 6.0 ROM without camera available (haven't tried some 3rd party apps) IMO

Yeah I watched the live cores and they didn't cross the max frequency but like I said once I rebooted it went back to full. WiFi seems to not turn off and burn a lot of battery if you don't manually toggle it when leaving WiFi area I noticed so choosing to have it on only when plugged in or turning it to never on during sleep doesn't work unless it was because my slacker was playing but screen was off so maybe that's what kept it on. On lollipop it usually burned about 2% to 3% while I was at work and marshmallow burns about 15% in the same amount of time. This might just be due to better reporting statistics however as my android os is at 1% compared to lollipop which was usually around 18% to 20% by now. Overall I got about 2% better battery life today during my 5 hour shift than usual so no huge improvement as far as battery life at work I'll just have to see what standby gives me this weekend as I haven't gotten to see the standby at all yet which is where I feel lollipop really dropped the ball compared to KitKat.

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from the notification area) and I'm NOT going to add something other.
Features
- Pure AOSP
- what? it's pure AOSP (based on Slim and caf) man,no extra shieet!!

Trying this rom for a few hours, I observed the followings:
Cellular networks in settings cannot be opened.
Layers manager works properly.
Moshi kernel works fine on this rom
Xposed also works on this rom without any problem
The rom is smooth and rather fast.
Other than the above-mentioned, almost everything works properly.
Battery life seems okay.
Overall, the rom is more than satisfactory.
Thank you so much, @aniket.lamba.:good:

Going to Try as it's just like EOS
AOSP + CM
My taste
So far its smooth. Gonna try it till tomorrow. Browser gives a FC for some odd reason. I will try reFlashing
Tried this rom. Here is my review.
First of all rom is super smooth. No lag at all. Added CM theme support is really good. But didn't understand why customization option are limited?? I couldn't even find network speed on status bar option. Lock screen customization options are missing. Also very customized tiles are there. Like aomeone said browser fc.
In future I expect original rom developer will add more and more customisations like carbon or dirty unicorn has. Also with OTA support it would be awesome (sorry for too many complaints but thought to highlight missing points).

Try the gapps provided by Vanir Team and see whether the AOSP Browser FC issue solves or not. Here is the link for it: Team Vanir Gapps
Download the file named "60arm-DHO-GAPPs.zip"
I saw it as a solution in their G+ community.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Edit: Yesterday night I tried to flash the ROM (25th Jan build) with different gapps including the Team Vanir one but all result in FC of the setup wizard.
Weird though...
On my end, either flashing the GApps at the first flashing or after the first boot resulted in Setup Wizard's FC, and it happens no matter which GApps did I used.
I used the latest nightly BTW.
I'll try wiping the caches again and report the result.
Edit: Yep. Still FC. Got any idea why this is happening?

I had a lot of issues flashing this ROM. First, is it only for standard system partition? Looking at the partition size/available space in TWRP, that's what it indicates...
With the setup wizard FCs, I think the ROM is missing a patch to set Gapps permissions (or should that be in Gapps package??)
Anyway, if you have the time & inclination, you can drag down settings and navigate to Settings/Apps/(select all apps then) Setup wizard/permissions, and switch all the permissions on.
The problem is that you have like 1/10 of a second before the next Setup Wizard FC notification, so it takes a while/you have to be very fast in order to get to the Setup Wizard´s permission screen.
Will there be a N update of Vanir Aosp rom? Just asking because i saw N7 Branch for Cancro too.
Well in case you haven't noticed,Vanir 7.1 nightlies are up! Following 7.1 releases,Vanir will use Substratum as it's default theme engine.Go get em' - http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/cancro

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me (@nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the Zenfone 2 in 2015 and from then I started again the development of XOSP and continued it ever since.
What Represents a Release and what represents a Revision?
Revisions include small changes such as bug fixes/improvments etc.. (Usually there are made like 3 revisions per-release).
Releases are the main "stable" builds with all new planned features implemented and bugs fixed.
You can find all the included features right:
Here
You can find the list of current issues in the ROM right:
Here
Not able to disable navigation button backlit(5 sec default) - Using soft buttons solves the issue.

Frimware suggested is OOS 3.2.8 & yes, legacy is working.
Nice
is root included?(built in root) or have to flash it
and does it support F2FS
Would love to try it but sadly can't complete the download, trying for over 2h yet it keeps disconnecting me and the transfer rate is about 100kbps
Seems pretty smooth so far, but what's with the persistent su icon on the notification bar?? Pretty annoying.
Will see how this works as a driver and look forward to future development!

Let's just say persistent hash tag.
Not found a reason after hours of looking thru the settings

That's because of the built in root, flash SuperSU 2.79 if you want to get rid of it.

Thanks. Seems you also have to disable in built root under the Dev settings as well

GPS is a bit iffy. I'm currently on the motorway. Whilst the lock is quite fast accuracy is off. It says I'm driving through fields alongside the motorway! Lol. This is thru Google maps.
Personally I don't use GPS on the phone that much but potentially something that needs a bit more of a look

This is on every OP3 CM ROM. So far Xenon only ROM I can deal with, no field driving per-say, but I'd look like a race car warming it's tires if I mimicked the icon on mine! lol - I use it almost 8 hours a day!

Resurrection Remix the ROM has been based on LineageOS, SlimRoms, Omni and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.
Thanks for your development, that is a great news.
Download link will work soon, hold on.
OMG, waiting for this ROM <3

Thank you
Installing this new rom.
so I'm using this Rom for 8 days. clean install (only internal data not erased).
my review so far:
it isn't the fastest and smoothest rom I've ever used, but I has a satisfying performance so far and it's definitely faster and smoother then syberia!!!
+no major problems at all (no crackling as with syberia, wifi stable)
+performance quite good
+no overheating (even while restore and charging) max. 39°C, can't tell you bout heavy gaming though
+battery last for about 24h a charge, 0,7% per h while display off, deep sleep about 95%, had to turn off a couple off background permissions though
- issues I found:
- no automatic connection with paired BT devices (needs an extra tap)
-settings/design: only minimal settings possibilities, aospxposed and syberia have very nice extra colors and extra substratum conflict settings; system wide dark theme works, but notifications are still black on white background (fix please), substratum turns notifications in orange background
-alarm clock rings but doesn't turn on screen (edit)
-had 2 strange reboots the first day, sometimes strange freezes while starting apps
all in all I am very happy about RR pie!!! syberia has a great power management ( up to 33h per charge) but is slower in performance.
thank you very much!! I'll stick to it and hope for regular updates!!!???????
I'm using this exelent Rom.. untill now all is good! But i have a problem.. i can't use HBO GO app because according this app my phone is rooted... But i don't have my phone rooted... So what can i do? It's happening me the same when i was using Pixel Experience...

I installed magisk and use magisk hide unsupported root apps. You must hide app and hide magisk manager.
I'm using this ROM for about 10 days now and I am really happy with the perfomance. everything runs stable and smooth here.
Before I was on the Syberia project but unfortunately during the last updates that ROM has not become better.
There is only 1 negative point to mention for me - since the change to RR, I can not connect to my Fitbit watch anymore. Synchronisation does not work at all . There is a connection and I can see the watch in the Android app but it fails to synchronize and I am not able to use the settings of the different installed apps on the watch.
This means I can also not get msg from WhatsApp or email client on my watch. I have already reset the watch, reinstalled apps, and other things but it won't work.
This was working really well before with the Syberia ROM and it works also fine on my OPO device with the latest Tuga Power Pie ROM.
There is something different with the bluetooth in the RR ROM, but I don't know what or how to get the synchronization to work again.
Really appreciate, if someone would know any solution for my problem here.
Other then that, thanks for your help and thanks for the developer for this awsome ROM.
OMG! is this rom developing again? it's cool!

Yes it does work. You can either download the stable version or a weekly one and just flash it with TWRP.
Usually, I flash the modem update before I flash an update of the ROM. It means, in the TWRP I set the sequence like
1. modem zip
2. ROM zip
3. GAPPS zip
4. Magisk
Flash all the zip in one shot and after delete Dalvic and Cache and let the ROM boot.
Usually, this is working always fine for the updates ( dirty flash with only wipe dalvic, cache and system before)

@ theOriginalSuperl2
I was already using your ROM with Android Nougat. It was really working well and I'm happy to see the RR on Pie as well.
My question is about taking screenshots - in the Nougat version, after I took a screenshot, it was going right away into editing option. When I take a screenshot now in the Pie version, I have to choose manually to edit the screenshot and mostly it is not really working.
Would it be possible to get it same again like in the Nougat version?
Or could you tell me, what programm you used at that time to edit the screenshot, so i can try to install myself.
thanks for the great work
Mark
