You can't install stock ota over cm. You have to be on stock rom with stock recovery and it has be not rooted. After updating the ota never flash the 5.0.2 and update again it will hard brick your mobile. After that it will be useless ,because Motorola won't release the files needed to unbrixk it. So keep it in mind. Don't forget

It because your rooted and the recovery is not stock. First flash it with stock forward using adb. And then update it will work. But after update don't flash the 5.0.2 rom again

Come on folks, this stuff takes time out of people's day, and work to get things copied and uploaded; the least you can do is click a button. I know that manners are a lost legacy, but people aren't obliged to do things - they do it from the kindness of their hearts, so at least show some thankfulness - some courtesy won't take any time, and certainly won't kill you; in fact, you'll actually FEEL BETTER FOR IT

I was getting errors with the 4.4.4 OTA through philz recovery.
So I downgraded to 4.3 and updated OTA to 4.4.2 - 176.44.1.en.GB(187mb) and then an update of (8mb).
Now i am on 4.4.2 and got 4.4.4 OTA 210.12.10.en.GB.

This mean, that this OTA archive is for version 176.44.1. This mean that you cant jump (for example) from 14.71.8 (Android 4.3) to 210.12.10 (Android 4.4.4) because you need OTA with name\version 14.71.8. When you apply it - you will have 174.44.9 (4.4.2, first update). With next OTA with name\version 174.44.9 you will have the last update for 4.4.2 (176.44.1), and so on.

So far I haven't noticed any additional settings or anything, so I presume this is primarily a bugfix release. I suppose we'll see whether battery drain or some of the more minor bugs have been addressed.

Did you flash back the stock boot of .6 ? Because chainfire's custom kernel image would inject something to modify the kernel, OTA may fail when verifying stock kernel files.

That seems quite likely. I only rooted it a few days ago because I wanted to restore something with TiBu but I had left it unrooted for a few weeks after upgrading to Lollipop.
Could someone clarify what this update exactly is? Is it an update from .6 Lollipop, giving it higher version number? I'm just wondering why this thread is so relatively small...

I believe it's supposed to be bug fixes. Possibly for the background apps closing and memory leak issues a lot of people have reported.
New 22.21.25 update posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/ota-moto-g-2014-xt1064-v22-21-25-en-5-0-t2978653
Just got another OTA update. No change log on the update screen. New kernel compiled on November 27.
I don't have root to pull the update from cache since my display has issues that I plan on getting a warranty replacement for
Still need someone to use ADB and grab the OTA for this. My wife's phone is not an option right now...

Thanks for the reply! But is there a simpler way? Maybe a way to flash it via fastboot? Because root doesn't seem to play too well with my device. Keeps getting bootlooped and i know it's supposed to bootloop with the recent versions of SuperSU but it just doesn't wanna boot up.
Assuming the modified boot image for Root on 22.11.6 will not work with the update, and also assuming the boot.img will be overwritten with the update..loosing Root..
So we will be at the mercy of someone compiling a new boot.img.?

I found that flashing SuperSU caused a bootloop as well and was about to give up. But then I did it one last time and wiped cache in TWRP after flashing it. That time it worked!
The method I linked to get stock recovery back requires root.
If you can find a download of stock recovery from some random website, you can flash stock recovery through fastboot with fastboot flash recovery nameoffile.img

For those like myself that don't read Portuguese, here's the Google translation of the tutorial:
Download the required file and copy the OTA to the device's internal memory.
Now the device, go to Settings> About Phone> System Updates.
Will the message of a new update found. Just confirm and start the update.
The device will reboot and start the update process, just wait for the process to finish.
When finished, the device will restart and voila, you are using the final version of Lollipop 5.0.2
Obstructive advise after making the upgrade to Lollipop, go Configure> Backup and Reset> Restore Factory Data and confirm. So you can avoid getting bugs or possible traces of KitKat files.
(Warning: this will erase everything that is on the device, including in internal memory, save your stuff on the computer before doing this).
Okay, now just set the machine, put your Google account and finally enjoy the official Android Lollipop.
Thanks, do I need to rename the file to "210.12.40.falcon_umts.Brasil.en.BR.zip" ?

I'm currently installing the downloaded OTA. There seems to be more than one way to install it. In my case,I'm installing it in recovery and so far,so good. There's no need to rename the file. You could also use the alternate method to install, which is to check for updates in the settings. I had to download the BR 4.4.4 firmware first, made a mistake and downloaded the wrong 4.4.4 the fist time and was getting errors while trying to install it in recovery. The wrong firmware will not give an available update from the OTA in memory from settings. Be careful if you're downloading the firmware,it must be the exact XT1032 BR 4.4.4 firmware as stated in the OP.
For those looking for the 4.4.4 ROM you need for this OTA:
Goto http://goo.gl/kKhvtj and download "XT1032_RETAIL-BR-SS_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.40_42_cid12_CFC_1FF.xml.zip"
You should be able to follow these instructions to flash it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
You device should then be ready to update using the OTA file
It is not very smooth for me, I installed the firmware and update but at various times subject to delays in the interface and some apps do not work properly as GNL :/

Same here. It seems like GPE 5.0.1 runs smoother than Motorola 5.0.2 Brasil.

Try doing a factory reset after flashing OTA. Mine its running smoothier than with 5.0.1 GPE.
I have the US stock rom in my phone, can I install this Br stock ROM and the return to U S stock when this are released??
I'm on GPE Lollipop, what is the procedure I should follow to install this?
I have an issue, i downloaded the 4.4.4 required for this OTA, flashed, copied the OTA to the SDCARD of the phone and then tried to update but it keeps saying that i'm up to date.
I'm missing something?
EDIT: It's necessary to Update Motorola OTA app from Play Store in order to recognize the ZIP in the SDCARD

Happy because i'm using Moto G 502 Brazil not GPE.
How does it works so far? I'm planning to update my GF's Moto G from 5.0 to 5.1
In the Nexus 5 the difference between both versions is huge (in performance). But 4.4.4 ART is still the fastest IMO...

OTA Update does not appear to include a new Bootloader.
I have a MotoG GPE 5.0.1 with root and xposed. If i want to upgrade to 5.1, I must downgrade to 4.4.4 (skipping gpt and bootloader command) and update to 5.0.1 and 5.1 or there is a faster process than this?
Could this mean that "plain" moto g (2013) *will* be updated to 5.1?
No link to OTA? Shame on you

Nope, just uninstall xposed and modules, unroot, flash stock recovery and use adb sideload to install
but
You can flash 4.4.4 gpe, than ota 5.0.1 and again sideload to 5.1 if you want clean install.

First of all, can you pull the 5.0.1 GPE recovery? because I did that whole process and it keeps telling me when I sideload the OTA that the recovery is wrong, so if you could pull the 5.0.1 recovery and post it here you'd help a brother out
BTW, yes, if you rooted or modified the system you must downgrade back to 4.4.4, OTA to 5.0.1 and then OTA to 5.1.
If you're all stock then you're good to go
Please try and pull the recovery, thank you
