Hello
It seems to me that since I installed Android 5.1.1 my GPS signal became weak and lost constantly (see image below). Also, I find it difficult to navigate with TomTom, Sygic or Waze.
Is there a parameters settings to check or a utility to boost the GPS signal?
Thank you
No one can help:crying:
What a pity :fingers-crossed:

Hello
The problem is no signal or very low signal with GPS, so impossible to fix the location.
I've tested with gps status and I get 3 or 4 yellow lines but never green, and sometimes it fixes the position. I'd made another test with a HTC Cruise I conected the GPS (tomtom) and the I put the back of the phones in contact to each other, then I get 6 or 7 satellites in green.
So it seems that the gps antenna it's not working OK or the radio firmware it's not good.
With the movistar room I'd tested and was impossible to get GPS signal, then I changed and installed the Dude's cupcake and the last radio but the problem is still the same.
Please, need help! Someone with the same problem.
I'ts the dream that movistar offers giving you 100000 points to make an exchange for free or very good price
It is quite sensitive to your location and objects around you that can reflect the signals (like the windows on a building). It also helps to start out with a NETWORK + MOBILE connection in order to make use of A-GPS (helps lock-on time).
thanks for the answer
But for sure I test my dream in an open place to have the better reception, helping with the Cell Id location etc...
Hello to all,
i 've recently purchased htc trophy with vodafone menu.
At my trials to work gps software such as gps satellite or gps speedometer or embedded binkgle map,i get NO status and altitude or other gps metrics.
Location is on,setup is english usa into regional settings but same issue.
If you run one of the above metrics,do you have metrics shown correctly?
I try to find it is a gps module failure.
The only thing left to try is to put an aluminum piece on camera,as i read to other similar topic.
Please advice
Did you try the free app "Distant"? This shows, if you have a signal and if so, how accurate it is.
Helped me to find out my trophy works fine.
And please don't forget: it can take some time(like 2 minutes) until you get a gps signal.
My GPS has been working fine until I installed Cyanogenmod on my U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 (SCH-R970). It shows the icon in the status bar when it is searching, but it never finds the GPS.
I have tried a few apps from the market (GPS Status & Toolbox, and GPS Status - Test & Fix, GPS Test). After resetting/reloading the A-GPS data, it still could not find my location. I saw that I could flash a radio to my phone and that may be able to help, but I'm not quite sure what that will do, or what radio to get or much at all about that part.
It seems like I am getting a few satellites in use, but not enough to get my location.
Anyone have any ideas for me? I would like to get this working soon.
Thanks.
Hi Guys,
So I am having a bit of an issue with cyanogenmod and GPS where my phone can only get location from Cell Phone Towers and WiFi and never actually connects to GPS signals when I am trying to uses Google Maps/HERE Maps. I could live with out GPS if my WiFi network gave me the right location but it never does so What do I need to do to fix this headache.
Thanks in advance, Tech.
I have the same problem at this moment, I'm running PureNexus rom and my GPS was working super bad while in USA and right now I'm in Russia and it doesn't work at all here, just like you've described.
Could you please tell me if you find some sort of solution?
