Just pré ordered this watch: http://www.geekbuying.com/item/BLUB...-Smart-Watch-Remote-Control---Red-359996.html
Finally a watch that has all i want: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Heart Rate Monitor, Android Wear and waterproof
How can it be there's still no thread about it here?
IP67 = You can wash your hands with it on, or get caught in the rain. A cheap $10 watch is usually more water resistant than that.

If you take a look, almost all smartwatches are IP67 or less. So, being IP67 is not bad

Yes but looking at the presale at Geekbuying I couldn't find that info in the specs.
Yes, you are right. But since all news sites say it has, i'm supposing they are correct. I will see, when i get mine next year... oh..the wait...the wait is killing me

That's because they are designed poorly. I modified a non-water resistant smartwatch to be fully functional and 1ATM/33ft/10m water resistance. Total cost >$0.50

I made a couple videos of the pressure testing. As far as the mods, due to differences in case design, one method does not fit all and each smartwatch case design has to be approached separately. Some designs cannot be greatly improved while others can reach 2ATM and much more.
On the one I posted videos of, it failed a 3ATM test but my work was not the cause. The crystal (glass) used by the manufacturer failed after about 8 hrsat a depth equivalent equal to 66ft/30m.
Well.. the price has lowered - it can now be find at $99 at gearbest - and it seems it will come with android 5.1 and not android wear...
Not bad for watch without a SIM. Have you looked into its new chip?
It Will come with Android not A. Wear like portals say... Just have to see this picture

I saw in a site they say it is just a test os for the prototype. The manufacturer claim he will use Android wear on retail version but the watch spec are almost too good to be true. So wait and see
Is there any more news about this watch running Android Wear?

not much, just the release date,it should be avaliable in final version next month with a price around 99 and 149$.
with android wear 5.1 (no 6.0 because the watch has no speakers).
and only a dualcore cpu instead of usual 4 core in other watches.

Is Android Wear confirmed? I thought that they would launch with Android only, not the wear version. Also, while it will be launched with the 5.1 version, is it expected to have updates, even if the 6.0 one is not planned?

the maker had confirmed about they own wear licence and told the curent capture use a in house test os.
and yes it seems wear 6.0 will be only for watch with a speaker.
this watch will have a barometer instead and maybie a gps module with 1go of ram. but it is not confirmed.
but sure thing this watch was made for sport mostly.
but then again google can refuse the use of android wear licence,i heard it happened to a kickstarter watch project.
the thing that bother me is the cpu being a 2 core MTK2601 .making it less powerfull than a gen 1 lg gwatch (quadcore snapdragon 400) and can be found around 60$ brand new in leather " buddy " version with same os)
and i guess the oncell screen mean it is a lcd or ips display instead of oled.

Quadcore means nothing when the cores are crippled, and Adreno 305 vs Mali 400 is negligible. Both are also A7 SOCs. As far as AMOLED vs IPS, AMOLEDs are only more efficient in lower lighting conditions or when very little is being shown on the display.
BTW, On-Cell displays are a Kyocera thing where the TSP is in the display itself.

well yes but it is the first time we see a watch with this cpu so i am a bit sceptical.
especialy after the moto360 v1 that was kinda a so so watch.but it was a old single core.
and how the updates will go?
but i know about the on cell ,but the wikipedia say is for lcd display only.
if i remenber correctly the iphone has the same way of building to have a clearer image.
and you know power usage is important for a so small format so to bad for the oled.
but the good news is the ele watch from elephone will use same cpu and they are claiming it will be an android wear device too
and it is official on mtk site too.

the Xperia play should have been given the new

the play should have a extended warranty for any analog or playstaion control damage

loved the first one..
honestly, in my opinion SE has the best phone designs already, i mean look at the others, samsung, htc, iSh.t, they all look same ie. with circular corners.
none of them can compete with x10 or arc design..
all of these are sexy. These are how the next gen should look, oh so sexy!!

Seconding this. Just make the x10's bottom bezel smaller and the phone thinner and you have my perfect phone, aesthetically speaking.
Don't care about making phones thinner just for marketing reasons, in fact this annoys me, I'd rather have a slightly fatter phone with a 2000mAh + batt.
But ideal phone would have a 3000mAh bat and function like a camera with xeon flash and 1080p recording at least 30 frames/s. With exmor sensor and large lens (if they as good as they make out they will b unbelievable with a larger lens). Ability to quickly launch the camera with no delay. Size can be same as the x10 but thicker. Sure the designers can still make it look 'sexy'.
Of course running the latest android with unlocked bootloader. No need for dual core just yet but decent graphics performance. 1ghz + Adreno 205/220. With at least 16gb fast flash, 512 ram and micro sd slot.
Also want host usb (ie can connect usb drives and keyboards) and hdmi out. With all the usual features we've come to expect with a phone.

great
All of em with 2gb ram will be tons better. No comparison. Back to true multitasking and no iPhone clone crap reloading all apps.
I still can't believe that all flagship phones will be running FHD in 2013. I wonder how much battery can be saved using a HD display instead of a FHD display, rest all factors being equal?
I have a feeling that the benefits of going to FHD are merely from marketing perspective at this time. More resources used for GPU and display. "Diminishing marginal utility" applies here?
I just didn't expect it so soon. As long as battery life remains great, give me a 4K screen. I will never complain.

Not very impressive?Compared against what?Alienware laptops? My S3 is overclocked to 1.7GHz on the CPU side and 600MHz on the GPU side and still gets "only" up to around 18500 in Antutu.Even the Snapdragon 600 hovers around the 22500 mark. What did you expect?I'd like it better too,but hold on
Anyway, using a PowerVR GPU gets me excited. No more half-arsed ported games and hopefully better performance than the Mali ones. The MP-400 was lovely on the S2 but it's too 2011 and ARM's T-6xx series has yet to prove it's worth something, while PowerVRs are tried and true(Although I have to admit I'll miss the MP-400's monstrous fill rate and I'll hate depending too much on resolution again).I only hope that the Exynos Octa indeed performs considerably better than the Snapdragon 600.Not because the 600 isn't good, but if they are so close in performance, the S800 will obliterate everything and even the Tegra 4 will best the Exynos.I can stand having a less powerful SoC than Qualcomm's(After all the S4 pro blew the Exynos 4412 last year) but not NVidia.I just hate these guys and they deserved being at the bottom of the performance charts.
Anyway, sure thing is that by summer 2013 the S3 will look mid-end and the S2 will look like a toy.I can't wait to get the S4 and get it to run at 2GHz.Yes,I'm crazy.

I wonder how Samsung or any other OEM can make something inpressive at all. I had a Xperia Z for the weekend and my S3 doen't feel at all too old.
FHD is nice because it is the industry standard (PC Monitors, TVs ,..) but from my normal reading distance I don't see a difference worth spending money for.
Current high end 3D games run on both phones fine, but they do so on a S2 also....
If Samsung would have put 2GB into the I9300, I guess I skipped the upgrade this year.

I dont mind plastic at all..its light, makes it removable, and dissipates heat better.. no fuss about loosing paint like in alluminium and smudges like in glass ( the nexus n4 s4 chip is said to tgrottle at stock to save the glass).. performance and funtion above looks always..

What's the problem with polymer casing? I think it's a good marketing decision.
First of all, I'm not planing to keep the phone for 20 years.
Second, it makes the phone lighter.
Third, makes the phone cheaper.
Fourth, I prefer to pay for better techology then fancy casing.
Fifth, they all need case protector anyway.

Actually I believe the first phone wich got those features is the S3 on the leaked 4.2.1 rom. The only thing is even if they are activated, they don't work. I believe they need fixing and the rom was a test one or something. So yeah, it's not gonna be something S4 exclusive, we are going to recieve those too . Till now, all Galaxy S series demonstrated that they are BEASTS and very difficult to let behind, they all get features official or non-official.
Look back at the support the S1 recieves and you'll be amazed

Not sure what to think? I want most of the specs from the 6P to be in the 5X, 5.7 screen is just to big
that's too bad, even the 32GB version only has 2GB of RAM. they're going to miss a ton of sales due to this alone.
no SD card was expected, but people who are new to Nexus devices won't like that either.
sales will be even softer due to no carriers or brick & mortar retailers selling it.
for those wanting a ~5" device, next one to look fwd to will be the OnePlus Mini which should be out by Christmas.
I thought other leaked info indicated camera sensor is RGBW?
Well now we know that the price for 16GB is $379 (probably will be well over £300 I reckon) we can safely say this thing is not that competitive really, on specs or on price. Makes it an easy decision for me.
4K, 340fps?? really?
I skipped the nexus 6 last year, now again I'm disappointed. Not buying this.

there's no AOSP for S6 due to the proprietary processor Samsung uses, it's essentially closed source so developers don't have access and thus really can't bother.

My eyes popped out looking at that too. Has to be a typo, unfortunately.
2GB ram is kinda retarded... I just cannot undestand why they did this....
I don't understand why the hell everyone wants more than 2 GBs of ram. It's a bloody phone...
I am happy with it. Just miss a 64GB option. And maybe G4's 3000mAh Battery.
Am am sure this will be again a hot seller...
For me, all they needed to do was pretty much an updated version of the original, but this time sort out the camera and battery.
I know many find the specs to be under what's expected. But in a few months time when the 5X is still smooth running the latest M and the S6 owners are still waiting, the 5X may be the smart choice.
Lets see what the reviews say about the Camera & Battery.
Haier has just released a new smartwatch called G6, it has an heart rate monitor, a touch screen and other healthy stuff. I really love how it looks, mostly because it reminds me of something..
Some specifications:
MTK2502C chip and Bluetooth 4.0 technology: Adopt latest MTK2502 chip and Bluetooth 4.0 technology that it can quickly and efficiently meet the needs of your life.
1.22 inch IPS touch screen: 2.5D full view HD display, gives you more clear eye experience
Heart rate monitor: Give you the accurate real-time feedback, let you keep fit easily.
Sleep monitor / Sedentary reminder / Pedometer: Take care of your health, monitor your sleep, remind you to have a rest and track your sports.
Raise up your hand to light up the screen: When you want to get the time, only need to raise up your hand and then the screen will automatically light up.
Gesture control: It's convenient for you to answer the phone and switch the screen clip by shaking.
Information push: Can push social App information, you can easily communicate with your friends or family.
Remote camera / music: Control your smart phone to take photos and play music, you can enjoy the pleasure on your wrist. (Note: For remote camera function, iOS phone needs to open the camera in advance)

So, what do you guys think? Did you find any similarities with another smartwatch?

Tons. Case design aside, Gearbest alone lists 46 round MTK2502 smartwatches. Of those, 36 have HR sensors. If you limit it to that case design, there's still a few listed. Basically, the H6 is a dime a dozen.
It's similar with a lot of smartwatches lately But that's a good thing, because it looks good. How about the price?

I'm not sure quite what you mean. I was talking about the similarities with Moto 360, at least in the looks, software won't be as good, of course.

You did not specify that before, and I look at smartwatches as a whole. Yes it looks like an OG 360, which is a bad thing from a watch design aspect.

Ehm, alright. I thought it was obvious.
Anyway it's a personal choice, if it works fine and looks nice (even remotely), it's really good for the price, imho!

As a watch and smartwatch designer, I don't like it. The case is way to thick compared to the real watch Moto copied, which makes it wear/feel much larger than it is. Each to their own.

Yeah, it looks like Moto smart watch, but cheaper price and better function. You can have a try to make compare.

Yeah, I guess you're right, maybe I shouldn't like it because it's a "copy" but it's still a good looking design compared to other "cheap" Chinese smartwatches. I've no clue how big it really is from looking at the photos. :/
If you go by the specs;
OG Moto 360- 46 x 46 x 11.5 mm
Haier G6- 42.5 x 42.5 x 13.5 mm
Larger diameter offsets thickness, so it will look "tall" making it seem even thicker than it is.

Oh, yeah. That makes sense.
Hopefully somebody will review it so we'll know how it looks on a wrist.
As other people already mentioned, it's just another clone of the DM360, A29 and so on.
Surprisingly enough, new models continue to carry this annoying detail of cut display at the bottom part..

I wouldn't call it a clone of those others Chinese smartwatches but yeah.. You get what you pay for..
This watch is running with full Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Its supports Bluetooth 4.0 with 8 GB Storage and water resistant facility. Haier G6 Smartwatch is in round screen with 42mm, 316L stainless steel encased.

As you write it it could be confusing.

Don't spread misinformation, please. It doesn't run Android 6.0 and storage is 128MB.

This smartwatch has a very exclusive feature, among the others, that nor Awatch neither the manufacturer are advertising: it has a TRANSFLECTIVE display unit.

Can you compare this to D5/X3/K9 series?
Not hardware specs, but e.g. usability, battery time, feeling, etc.
It seems that this have 2 times more RAM and ROM, than D5 series. Do you find this useful in practice?
Camera can record video?

I'm sorry, I never used the Awatch Comet.

I see, my fault - I supposed that photos present your watch.
BTW I'm curious how looks completely off screen. Probably it should be grey, not black.

And it is a good or a bad thing?
Only as far as aesthetics goes.
Screen panel is glued off the bezel's center or just watch face is not displayed on center of the screen?

Parallax
I think that for such so large parallax screen should be more ellipsed - on photo it is almost circular, but maybe I'm wrong.
Other photo with black edge at bottom: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/AUKA8gjM1Ow/hqdefault.jpg
Very interesting because of the combination 1GB RAM, Kamera, 600mAh and 8GB ROM, round case.
But why 4.4 and not 5.1?
Most 5.1 watches have 512 Mb RAM and 4GB ROM.
Is it possible to install 5.1 on the Comet?
The specs are not correct, on the wepages is written 512mb4GB (Ram/Rom)
