I am not sure but i think that stock 5.1.1 ROM has a better battery life than all other custom ROMS.
Do you agree with me=
Not really. Custom roms often have battery tweaks to improve life, but much of it is how you tune it.
i have z3 dual.
i tried almost most of the custom roms.,
but i felt that stock rom has a better battery life.
i am not expert.
just an experience..

I've tried cyanogenmod 12.1 and 13. They give terrible battery life...
Plus I've tried phronosis v5.2 which is ok..but not that much great with battery life..
So, which is the best ROM for note 3 considering battery life(without lag)?

Try Stock ROM or AryaMod (stock based) and flash Lean or Idle Kernel for battery life.
because Stock gives better battery anyday!
bob
Testet many roms but best and stabale battery friendly is aryamaod 5.3
The best is still debloated Kit Kat rom, either from jamal or rayman95 ☺

Try to look at ROM as linux distros.
Every ROM is bunch of apps, graphic and services put together while kernel is the one who makes the calls.
Kernel tells how every piece of hardware is going to be used including battery/cpu/gpu.
By installing custom kernel and lowering max freq. and minimizing active services you should get best results.
There are also undervolting uoptions and much more.
All in all its sad that you didint even bother to read any of existing articles about how android works ,battery management and kernel optimization.
Here are few articles you should read.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/ROM-VS-Kernel
http://www.qrg.northwestern.edu/projects/vss/docs/power/2-how-do-batteries-work.html
These are bear essentials so dig in.
As the title suggests, all the Moto x play users are invited to tell which ROMs they used and term as best.
The criteria is all you can choose from like fluidity, features, stability, battery life, etc
So start flashing new ROMs and keep posting in the thread.
Enjoy Flashaholics...
In my opinion Resurrection Remix has the best combination of features and it is very stable, but it could have better battery life and fluidity (I read that the next release will be more fluid)
CrDroid has the most commonly used features, it lacks some bells and whistles but it provides good battery life.
Using RR with squid's kernel, the device performs superbly, but yes, as @alresave mentioned, the battery life could be a little better.
Haven't used it personally, but for performance and battery life, I'd recommend you go for Tesla since its mostly AOSP and much more stable and fluid.
For me Cm13 with squid kernel

How is battery life vs stock for you? Also, does CM13 support ambient display?
I thought I saw temasek say his CM13 was tweaked to include it.
I just found out that the stock ROM doesn't support hotplugging, which I thought only had to do with the ROM. I'm wondering if I would get bettery battery life using CM13(due to hotplugging, mainly,) but also wondering if there are any noticeable hiccups still.

Cm13 does have ambient display - showing notifications, clock etc.
On stock with my setting - I don't used greenify and such apps i got about 6-7 SOT with a little below 40 h mark without charger. I am using CM13 with squid kernel for about 24h and needles to say the battery life will be a little worse due to changing kernel settings flashing CM13 nightly update etc . The kernel needs to be left alone for a few days to settle which gives best results. Latest 0407 nightly build with squid kernel 16b with interactive governor will give 5-6 SOT IMO.
To put the battery life in perspective - my friend has stock HTC Desire Eye and he has to charge it every day with medium usage and maybe 3 sot.
From the next nightly ota update i will be using cm13 without any extra kernel just to see how the basic kernel performs and that the basic battery life is

I am on Blisspop and man its got everything I need. It's stable and slick. Battery life has to be checked. Blisspop and RR are very similar in features they offer. Tried both of them.
The logo of RR is very slick and nice. Even the boot animation is really nice.

I miss SlimPIE. Some ROMs even say they have it but have PAPIE or CMPIE.
Gotta say the best rom was stock 5.1 but I found Tesla Rom to be stupid snappy regardless of kernel. Battery for whatever reason has been crap for me but most users in the thread report an amazing battery life. I've only had it for a day so I guess I'll let things settle and see if the rom does the trick after all.
I tried AICP and Bliss, and Bliss with ultra kernel r5 works fine!
If you want battery go with any slim based Rom's. That will be for battery- I tried orion- one bug each time I reboot data Sim got switched to primary slot.
Now I am sticking with Stock due to it's smart Sim feature.
I am on validus right now and it seems better than RR in terms of performance.

Tried Every ROM, But Stock Based ROM Marshmallux v2.0. Because Camera Performance & Battery is Great in Stock. Without Stock Other ROMs Camera Performance is Not Good.

In Which ROMS
Stock rom or a debloated stock rom like marshmallux or GtrCraft are my personal favorite's for smoothness and battery life.
Plzz tell me the rom which has the best battery life means best screen on time.It should be nouget.I am not getting best rom for battery life plzz tell me help me...thanxx in advance.
There is no best rom, and you should never ask for one.
Asking for the best rom is incredibly rude to all the devs that are working hard.
You should try roms and see which one suits you because all of them are a solid choice thanks to the devs that are working hard for our device.
You can try Dirty Unicorns or Cosmic OS, both are excellent. This is my recommendation as to where you can start with custom roms.
And remember to be respectful/thankful to any developer/contributor as they are using their free time to give you something for free.
EDIT: You can also try a custom kernel to go with a rom to improve battery life.
Depending on usage, for me all the nougat rom always got 5 hours sot
I am not asking for best rom i am asking for rom which have good battery life srry because me English is not very good
If you are looking for battery life go for minimalistic/slim roms as they focus on battery but lack features....
In my opinion there is nothing as best ROM and it is subjective and varies from user to user.
Almost all ROMs give comparable battery backup.
To give you a headstart you can start testing by flashing aosp caf based ROMs eg cosmic os rather than Los based if you want better battery but that may not always be true.
I dont care much about saving space, and from my experience debloating doesn't do much to the battery life. I'd like a stable rom with possibility of black theme. All I care about is decent speed and screen on time. As for kernel I'm open for anything. SmallWiz V8 UX seemed like a good fit, but fingerprint doesnt work and theming is not possible.
Maybe stock rom with assertive display, phoenix kernel and modded theme is enough?
If you want black/dark themes, you are limiting the possibilities by going with stock-based ROM. Resurrection Remix N may be a good candidate because it has theming support, good battery life (although less than stock) and is quite stable for daily use.
If you only care about battery life (and can give up some theming), (generic unbranded) stock official ROM is your best bet.

Surprised to hear that stock is supposed to be best. I had xXx rom before, but when I got my phone back from repair with stock rom and new battery there's less juice than on xXx. Regarding black theme, it's just about battery life, not about fancy theme.

Stock usually performs the best in SOT tests because it has better frequency scaling and is able to use samsung closed-source drivers that is unavailable to AOSP ROMs. Most problems with battery life arise from either carrier bloat, or the apps installed by the user. There may also be a chance where something else is the cause but only in rare-cases. Usually a factory reset can fix all of these problems, however it may not work for all.
With that last line in the original post, it is often thought that using stock kernel will yield the best battery and stability. It has been discussed throughly about the battery impact a custom kernel places, and whether or not undervolting makes a difference (where it usually will yield almost none).
Any rom that supports the Boeffla-Kernel
i'm using popwiz 5.1
give it a shot

Hi guys, do you know if there is a custom rom with excellent battery life like the miui eu but with better performance? Every rom I tried suffered from poor battery life but the performance were great though.
Nothing can beat the stock rom, for now.
True battery and performance you gain if you strip down your ROM by yourself
