I have an lg vs980 and I was using it with H2O wireless and later I changed to Simple Mobile. I'm living in Puerto Rico. The phone was working all right and, suddenly, one day it was always displaying 'emergency calls only'.
I did factory reset, then I reflashed stock lollipop and it was like nothing happened, keeps displaying 'emergency calls only'.
Then I found this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2394689 and applied the patch but didn't seem to resolve the problem.
As a last resort I tried flashing cm 12.1 and before first boot applied the patch from the cited thread but no result, keeps displaying 'emergency calls only'.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Hi all,
I bought a Unlock Milestone 2 in Brazil and have a big problem.
It only works with a Oi mobile operator network, the others Claro, TIM and VIVO signal does not appear, but the internet works.
My M2 has the custom retail firmware from Brazil and I've done hard reset, reinstall the firmware and it still in emergency call.
I read something about what may be the baseband, but how can I get and install?
My phone is rooted with z4root.

im not sure if changing the baseband might help, but do check out this thread. perhaps somebody has an answer to ur question here.

Try APN Brasil app, you can find it on Android Market. You just need to open and tap "Configurar APNs" (Configure APNs).
I bought my Milestone2 from TIM and used on Oi for some time, now im using in TIM without any problems using APN Brasil.
I only used APN BRASIL.
Have you tried to reflash your device with Brazilian Stock ROM?Try to change to WCDMA preferred or WCDMA only. To do this, open dialpad and press:
*#*#4636#*#*
If you reflash, dont forgot to reinstall APN Brasil.

I have a problem with my LG Optimus L5 E610.
First I flashed SlimKat ROM (I had stock 4.1 before that so I had v20 baseband). At that point I had network but not WiFi.
I din't like that so I flashed CyanogenMod 10 (without previously flashing v10 baseband required for it) and I had WiFi but not network.
I tried flashing v10 baseband but the network problem persisted.
My IMEI is still in my phone, i get it when I click *#06# so that's not the problem.
Then I tried flashing v20 baseband and install SlimKat again - same problem (no WiFi and no service - WiFi never seemed to work on SlimKat but last time I installed it it had service)
Then I flashed v20 again and installed CyanogenMod 11 on the phone. As of now everything is working except the network.
Apps are running normally, WiFi is working, Bluetooth is working.
I tried: Toggling Airplane mode, rebooting, toggling GPS, Bluetooth, toggling 2G data only.
I simply do not know how to fix this and after a few days of googling without answer I came here to see if anyone can help me.
The main problem is that says I don't have a SIM card in but I do (tested SIM card on other phones - it works)

try another sim, else flash from kdz the correct firmware(of your country, because not all country have the same network signal), you find it here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=12
on stock i have the test menu with this code 3845#*610# put it in phone call
hidden menu *#*#4636#*#*, i dont know if they work on other rom

So i have a claro Lg G2 D801 (that is almost identical to the canadian version d803) and i rooted and have twrp and cloudypro 2 running. I noticed that sensors on the phone were not working so i read that flashing the new kitkat baseband will fix it. So i Backed up my EFS partition and installed the new baseband, then reinstalled my efs from the backup tool in twrp. My imei Is still the same as the sticker on the back of my phone and the sensors on the device have been fixed, but i no longer receive data to the phone. I have working wifi and can send texts fine but lte/3g/ ect will not pick up.
One thing i noticed before i flashed the baseband is my IMEI sv was labeled as 00 under system settings but after i flashed this baseband its labeled as 14 now. Could that be part of the issue? If anyone has any insight on this it will be greatly appreciated, trying to avoid kdz'ing my phone, but if i have to, i can do it.
I am running this phone on T-mobile in the US but i can get data working TEMPORARILY if i dial 3845*#d803#,(get an invalid MMI code message also) but as soon as the devices deep sleeps, it goes away after like 10 minutes
Thought this screenshot of my network status would help. Am receiving signal but disconnected from data. (Still makes calls and texts aside from volte and mms)

Bought this phone and applied GSM unlock methods, my phone just doesnt show signal bars, it only shows "emergeny calls only - vodafone IN" .......flashed zv7 tot applied gsm unlock but didnt work, zvc tot, liquidsmooth, tmobile cyanogen mod,mahdi rom...tried all they just dont show any network......... with Cloudy g3 1.3...its showing unknown baseband in settings on dirty flash, so again i tried clean flashing cloudy g3 1.3 on zvc , it showed full signal and detected..thought i solved my problem...NO...no calls work, it just shows full signal...dats it, again flashed and its showing baseband unknown...So virtually tried every rom, flashed back to stock, again different roms...they detect my network..but no signal bars...just emergeny calls or no network.

I have LG G2 D802 Phone. I have bought this phone 2 years before, was working perfectly but from last 3-4 months, it has got network problem. The problem is, when i insert a sim card and powered on the phone, it remains searching for network and shows the message "Emergency Calls Only".. I have done hard reset, flashed the phone with stock rom, flashed with stock modem zip etc.. But nothing happened. I wonder if this is software related issue or hardware as it sometimes catch the signals for few minutes. Sometimes, it shows fake signals. I m extremely tired of trying many many things which i have found on different forums but problem is still there. Its really annoying. PLZ HELP ANYONE. My phone is currently on LP 5.0.2 16GB 30d Stock rom. Kernel version 3.4.0. Thanks
