Searched threads and could not find any notes anywhere on google. What are the differences (if any) between the the US and International versions? There is for sale on Amazon the Microsoft Lumia 950 5.2" 20mp 3gb Ram 32gb 4g Smartphone International Version. Any thoughts?

Hi,
Short answer: Only the ROM.
Longer answer: There are four Lumia 950:
- Lumia 950 Single-SIM = RM-1104
- Lumia 950 Dual-SIM = RM-1118
- Lumia 950 XL Single-SIM = RM-1085
- Lumia 950 XL Dual-SIM = RM-1116
As you can see, there is only one product type per device (before, there would have been a minimum of three, which would have given at least twelve product type for these four Lumia devices). For example, this means that the only difference between an Lumia 950 XL Single-SIM bought in the US and in Europe is in software (ROM) and not at the hardware.
But is there any difference between the Lumia 950 XL Dual-SIM RM-1116 North American version and the international version?

Hi there
Denmark along with most northern European countries is getting the i9505 snapdragon model of the S4 however I found a company that's selling both the 9505 AND the 9500 at roughly the same price. As far as I've understood the 9500 does have LTE-capability, but it won't neceissarily work in all countries due to the differences in the 4g/LTE networks. When the iphone 5 was released in DK it took most companies 3-4 months to get their 4g networks to be compatible with the iphone.
So my question is this:
If i buy the 9500 will I be able to use 4g/LTE out of the box or will it be implemented eventually or not at all? The retailer i'm buying the phone from (w/o subscription) lists the 9500 as 4g compatible, but I'd like to hear you guys out first before I settle on a model.
Thx in advance
i don't think so the 9500 doesn't support 4G lte the only exynos variant which does is SGH- something and is only for koreans
Since i cannot post links yet im just posting most of the text from the website im buying from. In two places they list 4g. They might just be misinformed, but it seems odd doesn't it?

yes that doesn't make sense i mean like i said the 4G LTE exynos is only for korean carriers and i9500 is unbranded international so don't count on it and PS: make sure the site is trustable
http://www.cellhut.com/Samsung-I950...band-GSM-Cell-Phone-Specifications-33621.html
Look at this... Exynos with LTE. This is an american website.
P.S. - Dont look at the price. Its bull...
I trust the site and they have a decent reputation. But that still doesn't tell me whether it's me or them who's ill informed :S
If they are well informed... that has to be the Korean version right?
But still the price is ridiculously high!
i would pay 1000$ for the korean unlocked 2 but i am telling you guys this deal sounds fishy i mean look i found another mistake ( Video Yes, [email protected],) and the correct is 30fps and this mistake was made between qualcom and samsung plus the korean version can't magically become i9500
I think these websites just have put some mix of specs from here and there and put up on the website. For buying unlocked, i think best to wait a while after the release.
Just received the confirmation of two different models that will be sold in BE/NLD.
Both single and dual sim versions will be available! be carefull what you buy!
This is what I have managed to establish so far about the different models:
XT1072 - Retail UK / EU - Single-SIM - 8GB
XT1077 - Retail China - CDMA2000 - Dual-SIM - 8GB / 16GB
XT1078 - Retail Brazil - Dual-SIM - 8GB / 16GB
XT1079 - Retail China - TD-SCDMA - Dual-SIM - 8GB / 16GB
Just received the confirmation they have the 16GB Dual-sim in stock so let wait and see, will be delivered tomorrow.
Update: Received a single sim 8gb version (the europe version) and returned it!!!!!
:crying: If its to good to be true.... Received a XT1072 this morning.
send it back for "16gb dual-sim". Guess I will be receiving an email soon they made a mistake on the website (and their response on my email regarding this matter).
It's looking increasingly likely that the only version available for the foreseeable future in Europe is the XT1072 Single-SIM version. This article confirms no Dual-SIM version for the UK: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/new-prod...4g-2015-release-date-price-specs-uk-dual-sim/
Sadly only the single sim, 8GB model is available in South Africa as it is imported from Europe. Would be interested to here your thoughts on this model when yours arrives. Planning on buying mine in the next few days.
I ask as I am considering importing one.
I am now using ZE520KL (Taiwan model) of Zenfone 3, it has 1.6MP back camera, fingerprint module, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM, 5.2" screen, 1080p, dual SIM slots and micro-SD slot (you can only choose between SIM2 and micro-SD card).
You may use the information I provided above to compare with the information on ASUS UK website. I hope this helps you.
do zenfone 3 really not sopport quick charging?
Yes, it does not support quick charge.
Since you're from taiwan, you may differentiate one thing for us. Does ZE552KL has two variant 32GB/3GB and 64GB/4GB.
After checking Asus Taiwan Store, there is NO 3GB variant for ZE552KL but I am not sure if there is one in other countries.
Usually, the difference, if any, is in supported 2G/3G/4G network bands only. I think the Taiwan version should support all popular Asian/European bands.
The countries differ from the rest of the world in term of network bands are US, Korea and Japan. But nowadays, even smartphones for those markets do support "international" bands for Asia/Europe
Hey guys
So, as I live in switzerland and we most probably aren't getting the LGv20 officially I am starting to look around for alternatives. I've gone to frequencycheck.com and checked every modell of the phone on there, added them all to a spreadsheet and now have a list of possible models that would work in my country (assuming frequencycheck is accurate). The versions that would work 100% on my country and carrier are (with corresponding Country-of-release) next to them:
LG F800L V20 LTE-A | South Korea
LG US996 V20 LTE-A | USA
LG VS995 V20 XLTE | USA
LG H990 V20 TD-LTE / H990TR | International? (Didn't find out which country)
LG H990ds V20 Dual SIM TD-LTE | Taiwan
I now have 2 questions:1) Are there more models I should be aware of and check and 2) Which model would be the best one for me to get? I would like an unlocked bootloader and the possibility to root my phone. I don't have a country preference - Importing a phone will be a PITA anyway.
Thanks for your recomendations!
Hallo!
I am from Germany. I am thinkting about the different versions too. Here is the H990N Dual Hong Kong version specified with Cat6 only (max Download Speed 300 Mbps, max Upload Speed 50 Mbps):
https://www.techwalls.com/lg-v20-model-numbers-differences/
Snapdragon 800 should have always Cat12 (max Download Speed 600 Mbps, max Upload Speed: 150 Mbps). Not be sure why there seems to be differences with LTE speed.
The H990DS Dual Taiwan version is specified with Cat12.
But I am unsure if those versions are Bootloader unlockable: http://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/help/lg-v20-h990ds-dual-sim-taiwan-version-t3490585
Anyone imported the V20? I'm from Germany and do not know which model works without limitations, too.
Snapdragon 800 should have always Cat12

Do you think the H990N has an older/slower CPU?!
I'm from Greece and I own H990DS TAIWAN version...this is for sure international version with all languages and 4g bands....it working perfect...but we didn't know if it going to be bootloader unlocked ever....
Be careful because there is another H990DS version from Korea that isn't international....
US996 has all the bands switzerland uses:
https://www.frequencycheck.com/compatibility/lzJdhQw/lg-us996-v20-lte-a/switzerland
And it can be bootloader unlocked.
@mgutt
I know you from German forums.
Sorry for this late answer but I have read your comment not until now incidentally. Of course every V20 device has the Snapdragon 820 inside. I mistyped 820 and 800 because of my old Note 3 with Snapdragon 800. But now I have my new V20 with Snapdragon 820 and I habe to unthink.
Hi Man, I'm from Switzerland too and I just bought one from Digitec.ch they have it in stock ready to ship and it's the international version H990DS Taiwan, actually i got mine it was in chinese it took me 5 mins to figure out how to change language lol...
So I know there will be an Exynos and a Snapdragon version. Exynos for EMEA and Snapdragon for North America
Are there any regional variants of the S8 ?
I'll prefer to buy the dual SIM unlocked version with Exynos
Something that works in Europe, US and India.
What do you think would be the best version ?
Both phones are also going to have a special "Microsoft" edition. Don't know the soc though.
