My phone just dropped into water for 2 seconds. The upper half of the phone was completely under water.
I was trying to switch it off but reactions were weird. Power button brings up power menu immediatly and not after holding it for 2 secs. But screen doesn't react on touches at all. I managed to get into recovery and power it down from there.
I hope the best. :crying:
I was reading about a water damage indicator in the SIM slot, but I don't know if I recognized it. Any experiences about water damage?
Hi, you could try putting your phone in some uncooked rice? this might help to soak up some of the moisture, hope this helps.
Take battery out and put both phone and battery in a bag of rice for 48 hours. Do not try to turn on the device during this time.

^^^ Take the battery out, no comment
Had it in rice for two days:

i fixed the xtreme guard on my device, i waited over 24 hours to turn it back on and i notice water mark on the screen, is it just wet patches and should dry out or damaged screen?
The device was turned off before applying anything and only turned on after 24 hours+

I go my MXPE with the leather back and this morning I noticed a dark spot on the leather this morning on my way to work. I get dark spots on the leather when I splash water on it, and I was at a bar last night with the phone sitting on the table so it could have been sitting in some water from the condensation from the glasses there. But every other time I've gotten it wet the color returns to normal after a few hours. It has stayed the same color all day so I'm not sure if it's a water thing or if maybe my battery could have gotten hot enough while it was on the charger overnight to produce the burned look on the leather.
Anybody got an idea or insight?

My Samsung galaxy S5 screen is unresponsive, no soft keys work either.
What I have tried
Taken battery out, held power button for 1 minute
Factory Reset
Upgraded Firmware
Cache wipe
removed battery for 10 minutes
I was using the phone and then i put it down, and i literally looked at it 2 minutes later, it didn't fall it didn't restart or anything and the screen just didn't respond i thought there was something on the screen so i wiped it and cleaned it, that didn't work so i removed the battery, and after reinserting the batter the phone would just loop, i then left the battery out for 5 minutes put it back in and it booted up but the screen was still unresponsive, also in the pictures below you can see that the left soft key is lit up for no apparent reason, even when its booting up its like that, i have no idea what to do so if anyone has any ideas then please say,
Thanks

Same situation here after installing LineageOS 13 custom.
I'll try to reflash stock by Odin...

Hi ! maybe USB port is damage ? Look on this video facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=552299751823760&id=552297098490692 and open the your phone, next look at on port. Look for a bruise, patina and crack of solder
Leave it in download mode for 20/30 minutes
For me,it happened when i used the phone til the battery hitted 0 and automatically turned off,i've tried many things....but i think that leaving phone to download mode(vol down+power button) charges a bit the phone:silly:
Have Nexus 10 (GT-P8110), bought it like non-working device.
Plugged in, won't charge.
Disassembled it, disconnect the battery and plug it with DC voltage regulator to revive it, done it many times before.
Battery start charging.
Now, I made the mistake and accidentally short-circuit something.
Now, battery is completely dead.
I disassembled the electronic and see that one part is blown, circled on the picture below.
Can I somehow bridge-out that part, or power on the tablet without the battery, just to test it (display, touch...) and if it works I will order the new battery?
Thanks!
