Hi,
I have an Ingenic I95 smart watch. The specs are pretty nice but the Android version is kind of laggy. I wonder if it's possible to create a custom Android wear from source. I already download the kernel from Ingenic website and I'm in the process to download the requirement tool from android.com website.
The reason that push me so is the watch manager from Ingenic is useless and unable to install anything from a smartphone plus the Android version lag.
If someone is on the same situation as me, we can team up to build the rom.

Hey guys!!
I am new around here so I apologize for any brake of rules I might be doing around here. You are welcomed to notify my about them
I just got a Geeksphone Peak. On the box it came with Firefox OS, of course. I had it for a few days and then flashed Android in there. I am not sure how, but it looks like Firefox OS is not there anymore, or I can't find it. Any idea how to flash Firefox OS again here so I can have both?
And another question, is there possible to have another version of Android, a lower one? I have Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich but probably the system would run faster in an older version of Android.
Thanks in advance!
As far as I know, it is not officially supported to have dualboot. So you have Androd or Firefox OS. You can download the old images here: downloads.geeksphone.com (sorry I cannot post links because I am new user). But Geekpshone has dropped support of Peak so there is no current built. I am trying really hard to build it but so far no success.
As for the Android - where did you downloaded it? You would have to download old built which is not built anywhere - so you would have to build it yourself.
Recently I have been wondering if it would be possible to have a Lineage-like custom ROM for Android Wear smartwatches. Since it is possible to unlock the bootloader and install custom software on such a smartwatch, why wouldn't it be possible to install a custom-made OS on a device of this kind?
Please excuse me if this question has been answered before.
Came here for the same question, over half a year later...
look for Project open watch

There are a early builds like AsteroidOS and FitWear. I have tested both AsteroidOS is in a very early state of development. check out this page: https://asteroidos.org/. And FitWear supports a few chinese APPs. But this OS isnt't practicable yet for a every day use.
The Ourtime X86 3G seems to be the cheapest Android Smartwatch phone available as of writing this post : Gearbest @ 37USD. Does anyone have any information about reviews of this device or any clones?
Also looking for any information about ROM development on similar smartwatches (MT6572).

Hello ! Do you find ROM for X86 watches (or any clone) ? I can't install Google Play (install - start - only one white screen blink...). Periodically message about error in Google Play services... ((((((
Help. please !
I need to install an Android version that uses Dalvik/Java and not ART, any way this can be done? And/or "dual boot" your phone?
No. You can use an Android emulator on your PC, on the other hand. Buying an older phone like the G2 would make more sense to me.
Maybe, but dunno if the device drivers or chipset would support anything older. Who knows, you might be able to compile a CyanogenMod build based on KitKat or something.
As mentioned above, use an emulator or dual boot Android on PC. Check out the Android x86 project and the official Android emulator.
I bought the Chinese version of the oppo watch when it first launched. I am wondering if there was a way to flash it to the Wear OS as it is running the stock Chinese OS. Is there a way this can be done? Or did i just flush 400 down the drain?
Same problem! No solution yet out there.
That would be great to have, but haven't seen anything....
At least you all have a cooler looking UI and many more OPPO Official watchfaces than our Global variant. We only have 12 OPPO official watch faces and it is hard to find watch faces that fit the form factor of this watch.
Hi, has anyone heard any new developments on flashing Wear OS to these watches? I'm in the same situation.
Hello everyone and happy new year. Stay safe..
According to Oppo...
"the Oppo watch has the security boot function, so even if the kernel is compiled successfully, the unsigned kernel cannot run directly on the watch".
I am thinking to retur my Oppo watch 46mm back. I can't get the compiled kernel to run on this watch. No twrp and no custom kernel and ROM for this device.
