Hi,
Good to see you create a separate thread.
With Chinese model, you can only install Chinese stock firmware. You can't install any firmware other than Chinese one unless you use a PIT file.
As the addition, the latest Chinese firmware is I9500ZCUJOH2.

Only use TWRP. The rest is outdated. I don't know which other rom you tried to install but make sure your download is correct. Sounds to me like a bad download.

I downloaded the files twice and keeps the same

Some ROMs like MIUI and Flyme still use (need) CWM and PhilZ Touch (always fail when being installed via TWRP).

Thing I forgot, untick Zip signature verification may help in several cases. But if still fails, I would contact the seller instead of flashing anywhere or stay with rooted stock Chinese firmware.

[Q] TWRP recovery for SM-G900L

Hello there,
My new Samsung Galaxy S5 [SM-G900L] just came in.
It wanted to install custom recovery from TWRP so I could make a backup of my Stock Rom and afterwards could install custom Roms, but there doesn't seem to be any support for the G900L.
I'm quite new here, but is it possible someone can help me with this? So that TWRP will aslo provide support to the G900L.
I'm willing to sent al the necessary files. But you'll have to gide me trough it.
Thanks in advance.
Anybody??
Good luck.. i tried looking for anything related to the 900L model but there's barely any support on it.

And because I'm new I can't post anything in the development section T.T
I hope someone picks this up though.
Yup I fell ya
/Bump for support
SM 900L Support
Another one for 900L support. Got the phone rooted no problem but failed to install CWM or TWRP yesterday so no custom recoveries available . Got a boot loop for my efforts. Hope there is enough love out there for someone to tweak some of the packages for these phones.
Cheers.
Successfully installed TWRP and CyanogeMmod recoveries on my SM-G900L
Sorry for the very long delay. I only got this mobile last month. I am able to install TWRP recovery by using TWRP manager after rooting (Although his device is not supported officially, the recovery image for the international version (SM-G900F) works really fine. I also successfully flash CyanogenMod (both View attachment Snapshot_recovery.tar and View attachment Nigthy_recovery.tar) recovery images using odin.

I have tried many times to use TWRP recovery on G900Lmodel but with no success.
I always end up with "COULD NOT DO NORMAL BOOT".
Also I need one help, I was trying to use this Custom ROM "Insanity S7 edge port", I again get the same message " COULD NOT DO NORMAL BOOT".
Someone told me it's the kernel problem and i have to flash stock kernel after flashing ROM zip. But the thing is I don't have the stock kernel.
Please help.

TWRP for kltelget (SM-G900L) is available here. You can also use the TWRP for klte (SM-G900F). The details are available in my xda thread (latest version is not tested). You can boot most Phoenix kernel (I hope Insanity too) based ROMs by either flashing the stock ROM boot.img or a custom boot.img sited in my another xda thread located here (check second post).

I tried the recoveries that you are suggesting, both of them, klte and klteskt from the twrp site.
It seems to work on every other device but mine.
Can't figure what I am doing wrong.

yes i will try them, I hope they work on latest MM.
And yes the device is rooted properly with latest CFautoroot for G900L, I even checked it with Root Checker basic.
Anyways, I don't have any special liking for TWRP, I wanted it to flash stock boot.img to make the Insanity ROM work.
I am ok with CWM recovery, but I was told it could not flash .img file and I am not equipped to make my own flashable zip form boot.img.
But now I am planning to use your modded boot.img for Phoneix based MM custom ROMs. I hope that will work.
Btw thank you so much...I checked both of your threads...They are awesome....you seem to be lone warrior for these Korean variants. Not much support elsewhere.
Really appreciate your efforts!!!!
Keep up the good work.

And then after flashing do a full data wipe and clean it up via stock recovery.

Download it from here
Search your phone's model number..
You can choose any country you wish to. But do not download any firmware that has a carrier written next to it. Dont download a network specific rom.
EXAMPLE: You have to download Brazil instead of Brazil (TIM)
Then flash it via Odin v3.09 by selecting the downloaded file in the PDA section
You can find many guides regarding how to flash via odin here.
And if you have the old bootloader then download any old file relating to your phones model number.
Remember if youre once on android 4.3, you cannot go back to 4.2.2
And if youre once on 4.4.2, there is no way you can revert to 4.3/4.2.2.
Bdw can you send me a screenshot of your current android version and baseband version? (Settings-->About phone)

No dont download the unknown ones.
Personally speaking, Ive never tried them and wont ever try them
Download any, but without the carrier specified for i9505.(Singapore,Brazil,Slovakia etc.)
And you can do a data wipe first and then flash or vice versa.
I used to enter the rom first and everything used to crash
then performed a data wipe via stock recovery amd everything was back to normal
But anyways, anything would do.
About the bootloaders. If youre already on 4.4.2, you have a knox enabled bootloader. So you won't be able to flash anything below 4.4.2.
Download and flash stock firmware and see if the same happens repeatedly.
At times flashing twice has also solved issues.
And pressing thanks is more than saying thanks

There is no point in reflashing the stock firmware.
You need to fully wipe in the custom recovery and reflash the custom rom.
If you still have problems then try a different rom, preferably a non TW rom, like CM.
If you then still have the problems it's probably hardware failure.

How? S3 NEO I9101 back to stock recovery and ROM without USB

Hey S3 neo users,
I have a non stock Samsung ROM running on my I9101 together with the custom TWRP recovery. Since a few days, the USB port is not functioning anymore so I want to send the device back under warranty. Before sending it, I need to flash stock recovery and ROM as to claim warranty. Does anyone have an idea how to do that without using a USB port?
Cheers!

I think it's not possible. Stock Roms don't come in a flash able zip file so you cannot flash them through recovery or any app, hence they made bootloader.

Nexus are v different devices. I don't know about any other method of flashing our device rather than odin through pc.
---------- Post added at 03:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:12 PM ----------
RashR or Flashify can't flash stock rom.
I heard there is a mobile version of odin but not sure. Maybe give it a try.
Ask here on XDA to see if anyone has a nandroid of stock ROM and recovery partition for your model that you can install using TWRP. Be careful to check that the model number the nandroid was made on matches your phone's otherwise you will brick your device. As it is the model number you give in your post and title (I9101) refers to the Galaxy S2 if I'm not mistaken, I'm guessing you mean the I19301.
You can use mobileodin http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899 or just download it and install then go to sammobile and type your device name/model then just register/login on that site and you can download it for free (ok i know slow downloading but you can also wait a bit).
Then go to mobile odin en just insert your zip flie like in normal odin and start flashing
It's worked for me

I failed at flashing new rom for SM-900

I seriously f***** up for the first time while trying to flash a custom rom on my cousin's Note 3 SM-N900. I was able to install TWRP and i proceeded to flash a custom rom directly from within TWRP. I kind of got ahead of myself and proceeded to delete/wipe/erase just about everything on the phone before flashing (dalvik, wipe data, cache etc..) and then i proceeded to Install the custom rom directly within TWRP.
Yes i agree i was careless and ****ed up quite a bit but i was so sure it would not go wrong. But it did. Now the phone only loads the initial 'Samsung SM-N900' boot screen and then goes to black. I can still access TWRP and Download modes at will but i am unable to flash a rom or a stock firmware that will work on the phone. I dont know if i ****ed up the bootloader, modem, kernel, etc, but i reckon i did some pretty good damage.
But the fact i can still access TWRP and Download modes gives me hope that i get right my wrongs with your guidance! Please guys help a poor soul out!
So what did you flash or is it a secret rom ?

Since term flashing is mostly used with recovery mode, so did he put it on download mode and BL the offical bootloader and PA/PDA the software that supports the same bootloader?

An idea that is maybe a bit risky is to put back the normal (stock) recovery and try to restore update from sd card or something like that... I'm not sure how safe it is so use it as a least resort... I didn't even hear anything like that its just an idea, it may not work... But hope it helps
Hi
I have a similar problem. I have a note 3 with original UK ROM and wanted to flash my operator ROM to get wifi calling. Both are android 5.0
The problem is after trying to flash the first time I had a problem that the new ROM would not fully flash. reading posts I understood I had to flash PIT file which I downloaded and flashed. After flashing PIT the new ROM did not go in so I flashed my original UK.
After reboot I kept getting security warnings that something has changed and I should reboot. After several boots the problem did not go away.
So I tried to flash ROM again, different tries between UK ROM and my operator ROM, but the phone now only loops at booting. Sometimes it gets stuck at first Samsung screen.
Can anyone please help?
Thank you
I understood I had to flash PIT file NO NO NO .
You don't flash a PIT file without good reason .
SM900 is EXYNOS not Qualcomm model .
So what phone model do you actually have as this threads question is N900 .
Ok sorry I have 9005.

Cant boot up. PLEASE HELP!

So i had a custom rom on my tablet T530NU. Went to change ROMs and I forgot to back up, and everything was wiped...and i mean everything! I can get it to bootup to a basic recovery screen. But ODIN doesn't recognize my device. Tried to use KIES and still nothing. Anything I load onto my sdcard i can't load from the recovery. Although i am able to sideload thru ADB. But i keep getting the same error of
E: footer is wrong
E: signature verification failed.
Any suggestions.
Did you try to flash stock firmware. Am I right? If yes, try to flash the 4-pieces one

Then, do a flash of a 4 parts firmware, with odin. In that way, you are sure that you start with not messed up partitions or software. Ah, and I remember you that firmware must be based on Lollipop, not Kitkat.

Flash 4 parts stock firmware, then twrp and then one ROM at your choice with Android version between 9 and 11.
I cannot download stock firmware from SAMMOBILE beacuse stock firmware is archived and I am not premium user... Can somebody downloded for me if you have premium acc... Or if there is any other site for original rom to download.

Use this program and you'll get automatically the 4 parts firmware. Probably pit file could miss, but it shouldn't be a problem in your case

No I'm not a God, I'm just a little knowledged. When I was a "noob", I read a lot around forums and web pages. And later, of course, after getting some experience with different devices. You're welcome, by the way.
