Me myself will be buying the tablet next week when it launches in India.
I've pre-ordered the 32GB black version of the Xperia Tablet Z for €549 + the official Sony leather case in black, which was only €40 instead of €80 during the pre-order period. I'm really looking forward to receive it! (just hoping that the availability date of 22 May is correct...)
Preordered mine from Sony about a month ago when they offered the 10% discount. So got it at about £360. Only got the 16GB version as I can expand on micro sd which I personally think would be more than sufficient for my usage.
On the Sony website it states that it has been handed to their shipping partners and it is on their way. So hopefully it'll get to me on time (fingers cross for it arriving early ) Can't wait to share my experience.

ordered the 32gig wifi version with dock for around 530 euros
quite nice of them to have put that 10% discount on it that day

well ahead of the May 24 expectation they set on the US Sony Store. Purchased the 16GB WiFi unit via our Corporate Perks EPP agreement - $449.99 USD + tax. Ordered it last week.
I got drunk the other night and pre-ordered the 16GB LTE version for € 628,99 + 80 for the flipcover from sony.nl, did I make a mistake? I never bought a device without thoroughly reading reviews and analyzing benchmarks. I hope the screen is better than the experia z but I have no idea
@godutch, you could have saved €40 on the case by buying it from another retailer.

Purchased a 32GB black wifi model from Japan from Yodobashi for 59800 yen which worked out after conversion to be 590AUD. Tried to get the cradle as well but they're sold out over there. Am hoping to buy the cradle once the Australian release happens (June).
The tablet Z is really nice, first thing most people say is that it's so thin and light which at 500 grams it is quite surprising!
The Throw feature and remote app has definitely come in handy when I'm on the couch and the remote is too far away

paid HKD 4380 (approx. US$565) to a HKG parallel importer retail shop on May 3, after Sony HK has announced the HK version at a rip-off price. HKD 5,298 (black 4G version with 16 gb storage, WITHOUT the charging dock)
3G version with 32GB storage in White color, WITH a black charge dock.
firmware version:
out of the box 10.1.E.0.244
OTA updated to 10.1.E.0.250
rooted using ROOT MANY ANDROID tool after 250 upgrade
except for the fact that the touch screen is too sensitive at times.
(while i am sliding my fingers during a list, 9 out of 10 times the touch screen would have reacted as if i have clicked somewhere and chose an item in a list.)
heard that new firmware version number 265 would have this fixed. but cannot do OTA update now that i am rooted...

Received a second email stating that the "Tablet is on it's way"... however, the online webpage doesn't show it as shipped. Called in and the store said that it had not shipped and that shipping was still expected to occur around May 24.

People in Europe seem to be getting theirs now. Has anyone in the US gotten theirs yet. The official shipping date seems to still be May 24.
sony uk only sent me a email saying it had been despatched no tracking number .

"The Sony Xperia Z2 was supposed to launch in early April (with a free 32" TV no less), but there seems to have been a delay. So much for shortages not causing a delay.
Sony has contacted UK retailer Unlocked Mobiles and said that the launch has been postponed for the first week of May. Apparently, this applies to all UK retailers, though there's no official statement from Sony.
The Sony Xperia Z2 costs £540 off-contract, while monthly taxes for 2-year plans are £42 get you the phone for free. The TV deal is from Vodafone, while Unlocked Mobiles offer a free wireless speaker, noise-cancelling headphones and digital content with a pre-order."

Nope, local telco will sell the phone with contracts on 4th April, local Sony store has no stock until mid May. The supply remains tight.
Even the z1 compact is frequently out of stock.

When the I bought the Z3, I wound up buying from Handtec in London. Will probably do the same... would rather buy local though.
Let's hope B&H Photo will carry it. They have a lot of unlocked phones. I purchased my Blackberry Bolt, Passport from them. Plus they don't charge taxes is you are outside of New York.
I cant even find the Z3+ hopefully the Z5 can be found.

It was already a fair price for what you get without the headset, but now I'm sold and pre ordered mine. Often the xperia's get an expensive pre order item but when the promotion is over they barely drop in price at all, so either pre order or wait up to 6 months before you are in the sweetspot again price wise.
What do you think of this promotion?

I went for the best service webshop in my country, because pre order prices are all the same while usually you pay a premium for their service so not a hard choice.
I have reached out to Unlocked-Mobiles to see if they are doing this promotion, will let you know when I receive a reply. I think Clove will be doing it from reading between the lines on another query they answered for me.
1&1 in Germany (and another company, think it was called OS?) have opened up preorders and say that all orders up to 31st May will get the headphones for free. They are giving a phone delivery date of June.

1&1, Vodafone, O2 - basically 3 of the 4 big Telecommunications companies in Germany offer this preorder deal. Also some shops and Sony Germany aswell.
In Poland the offer is limited by the number of sets.

Sony UK preorders have opened and they are throwing in the MDR-NC750 earphones as a promotional item.
Bit gutted by this, as the Bluetooth headset the Germans are getting are worth over 3 times as much - if you're going to over a promotion to various countries then you should really make it the same product, or you're just going to invite complaints!

Damn, feelsbadman.
I'm ordering mine in two days, when the pricecut kicks in for a certain carrier and I'll be able to get 10gigs/month for two years long for a total of 100 euro's, including the mdr-100abn with my phone.
I never thought I'd ever buy a subscription, but it's simply cheaper when I do the math...
749 xzp & 8 euro a month for 500mb pre-paid.
Or
409 xzs & 17 euro a month 10gb subscription. (2year)
Wonder where to spend all those gigabytes on, I could get half of them full maybe but all 10?
But who knows what the future brings.
I'm gutted the UK isnt getting the more expensive headphones

Also would they honour the warranty in the UK? Plus you'd get a two pin charger not UK plug

The plug is not important as I already have one for my Z5 Premium.
Sony do a EU warranty so they should honour warranty in UK.

According to the terms and conditions the headphones are only for the residents of Germany, so even if you do get the phone shipped over, you won't be able to claim for the headphones (you have to send your receipt and claim separately, they won't come at the same time as the phone).

Count me out for the xz premium then, such a shame Sony! Now I shall wait until September/October.
Just to add you get a Bluetooth speaker (screenwriter) not sonys high end one unfortunately. But yes I still would of preferred the wireless headphones Germany are getting. .
In Norway we have two offers, XB30 Speaker or MDR-1000X Headphone.
Bought with the XB30, maybe sell it and buy a XB40 instead.
In Ireland carriers are giving a set of MDR 10RC headphones with pre order. No idea what kind of quality or tier they are. Ordered mine today.
We have the same offer in Romania, in the official Sony store, xzp + MDR-100ABN
