Hello.
This is a method of rooting the Indian Version of the Lenovo k3 Note without using SP Flash Tool and PRESERVING ALL DATA. The problem with the Indian Version is that when we follow the method mentioned in the main thread (using fastboot to flash recovery, when we reboot into the recovery we again find the stock Lenovo Recovery. This is because during the reboot cycle, the custom recovery gets overwritten by the stock recovery. Therefore you must follow this method :
Method
Follow the method in this link upto the part where you enter the command :
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
DO NOT REBOOT just yet.
Before you enter the next command :
fastboot reboot, position your hands on the volume up, volume down and power buttons. You'll have to press all 3 of these at the same time.
Now type in the command prompt :
fastboot reboot
As soon as you press enter for the above command in the command prompt, press the button combination : VOL UP VOL DOWN POWER.
This would make the phone reboot into the recovery [CWM or twrp whichever you used] . Now simply flash the superSU.zip and the phone will be rooted.
Is also like to mention here that instead of using the Cwm recovery , you can also use the material twrp recovery (which looks much better) mentioned in the Index Thread which I find is much better.
If you find this useful, press the thanks button.
This method was not discovered by me. I took it from deep within Google search's pages. If you think that you discovered this method and you can provide substantial proof of the same then I'll be more than happy to credit you here.

Lenevo A6000 Unbrick/Fix For Any Problem
It's common since, when modified, the A6000 doesn't have a way to directly boot into recovery without a System or ADB command (Power Hold > Reboot > Recovery and "adb reboot recovery" respectively). However you can always boot into Download mode which acts as an emergency subsystem at any time. Have a quick guide on how to do that and you'll be flashing away custom ROMs again in no time.

Below is the fix for problems when the phone has no OS to reboot from. In case of Xenon which is rooted, follow this:
Easy Guide
(This is for when a phone already has an OS to boot from)
1. Open Terminal Emulator
2. Write
Code:
su
reboot recovery
(On any Superuser permissions pop-ups press Grant.)
3. Follow Steps 4 and 5 from the guide bellow.
Downloads
If you are on Kitkat (4.4.X), Download This (Mirror)
If you are on Lolipop (5.X.X), Download This (Mirror)
If you are not sure, download both and try both, no damage should be done.
[Source]
Instructions
1. Download all the prerequisite files.
2. Power Off Your Phone by removing the battery.* (See Note 1)
3. Hold the Volume Down and Power keys until the phone vibrates once and the Lenovo screen appears. At the bottom it should say "Powered by Android" and under it some small Chinese letters and "Power key long press can reboot phone". (See Note 2)
4. Extract the downloaded ZIP files anywhere you want. You should end up with a "TWRP" folder.
5. Open that TWRP folder and run "Boot-TWRP_A6000.bat"
6. If everything went well, you should be in TWRP recovery. Flash your desired ROM following the instructions from their thread, and everything should now be fine. (See Note 3)
Notes
1. I have noticed that sometimes my phone will not recognize that it's in Bootloader mode and will try to boot normally after a few seconds along with the fastboot not recognizing it. Theory: it doesn't shut down completely when rebooted via Holding the Power button, and tries to boot like nothing is wrong. I don't have a concrete fix, the best i can offer is to try different button combinations. (Vol. Down+Power / Vol. Up+Power / Vol. Up+Vol. Down+Power)
2. If you get the problem described in Note 1 do steps 4 and 5 before step 3. The .bat script will wait for the phone, as soon as it detects the Bootloader it will do it's job.
3. If something went wrong, leave a reply, I'll see if i can guide you through it. Remember to follow instructions carefully!

I recently got a huawei Nexus 6p. I had it with TWRP and rooted. The battery in these as you know the batteries are not the best. I had been told to try a hard factory reset. I then was able to wipe using TWRP and then lost the recovery. I was able to flash a stock version of the android 8.1.0, however, Now when I try to boot in recovery mode I get nothing but an android guy and say's something like no command found. I haven't been able to root it again or flash TWRP. My goal is to root and flash nethunter. Is there any way of fixing the recovery or flashing a new one.
Once you are on the screen with the little green guy laying down, hold the power button and tap volume up. That should take you into recovery.
Boot into Download mode, (voldown + power) then flash normally with fastboot.
https://dl.twrp.me/angler/twrp-3.2.3-0-angler.img.html
Download image to desktop, open command prompt, and type "fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.3-0-angler.img" without quotations. You need device drivers and android sdk tools. Bootloader needs to be unlocked as well.
So, I followed anandmore's thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-2/how-to/ultimate-guide-redmi-2-users-rooting-to-t3294212:
I did following commands in fastboot mode -
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
But after rebooting, it gets stuck on MI logo. What should I do?
Can you get into recovery? I don't remeber what button combination it is on stock rom, but on custom is it VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER, when phone light up, release power button and keep holding the volume buttons
The commands you need are
fastboot devices (for recognise the device)
fastboot flash recovery file.img (you can change the name file if you want, to be easy)
fastboot boot file.img (this command is necessary for the first boot into the new recovery flashed)
You need open the CMD ADB/Fastboot in the same file folder with the recovery.img, if not, not works
Hi, I had the same as you. You need to press the buttons as the other user said (volume up + down + power), when the phone is off. And hold them until you see twrp.
(FYI, the phone will boot with miui logo, then it takes maybe 15-30seconds to show twrp, you need to hold all the time I think, until twrp shows).
Thank you B.Paiter !!
"fastboot boot file.img (this command is necessary for the first boot into the new recovery flashed)" did it for me !
Hello, i installed dotos custom rom and gapps after flashed TWRP without root access (i don't want to root my device), all was good, the custom rom work good, so to day i manage to reinstall the same rom with another time gapps (the cause is for delete some application), all was good , and i read that it's good to make a hard reset for that the rom work nicely (i do it from the setting), i do it but after that the smartphone reboot and stuck on TWRP, i reboot the system from TWRP but don't work, it open all the time TWRP, the recovery menu disaper (i use the key volume"-" and power button don't work it don't enter to the recovery mode), i can only boot to bootloader from TWRP and access fastboot mode:
=>fastboot mode
=>unlocked
i use "fastboot continu" to access system but sim don' work in this way. so i come to you for help, i want that the system work like before, thank for your patience and help.
Reboot into fastboot mode
Have at least minimal ADB interface and fastboot drivers installed
Use a command prompt to cd to ur fastboot drivers normally C:\adb
in the same folder have your TWRP recovery image.
Then use the command fastboot flash recovery [twrpfilename.img]
Then fastboot reboot
Hold power and vol down and once in the boot loader use volume up to select recovery then press power to boot into the recovery mode
Have magisk on your SD card or go to reboot and TWRP will root your device you must never try to unroot a custom ROM because at some point they will all fail and you'll be in this problem.. i have hundreds of different custom ROMs from Android 4 to 8 and not one of them has been flawless they all have issues and big problems in the end, like operating system breaking glitches your best off sticking with stock firmware and modded and debloating urselg
I'm quite unexperienced to these topics, however I followed every guide I found online and in this forum, but I never seem to succesfully flash the unnoficial TWRP for my Redmi Note 7. Every time that I finish the process by entering the comand fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and then holding vol+ and power, It takes me back to the original fastboot mode of my device. I already have my bootloader unlocked and the ADB drivers installed on my PC and tried almost every tutorial I found (inclouding this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7/how-to/one-redmi-note-7-unlock-bootloader-t3890751).
I don't know what to do. If any one can give me a hand on this I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Once you've installed the twrp in fastboot mode you must reboot the device by holding vol+ and power until the twrp boot up and NOT with the fastboot command.

Yes, I do that, but instead of taking me to the TWRP how it should be, it takes me back to the fastboot screen
You're sure to hold volume up and power and not volume down and power? Try to disconnect the device from the pc before reboot.
