[Q] About Gapps (PA)

I was just curious what the difference was between Pa Gapps and and the ones from Goo. the ones on Pa have a bunch of stuff i dont want such as google +, maps, currents, etc. where as the ones from Goo is pretty much clean. But they recommend that you flash their gapps?

PA gapps are specific for PA ROMS, and if they ask you to flash their gapps, just do it. After all, if you want to delete those apps, just go to settings - apps - all or delete them from /system/app or /data/app.

Package seems to be exactly what I#m looking for..
But can you tell me whats the difference between 4.3 and 4.4 package ?
4.4 apps should work on 4.3, or ?
And which apps are included in the core package ?
Here is a list of the APK's included in Banks' 4.3 GApps. I don't think the 4.4 GApps work with 4.3 ROMs, but I'm not 100% on that.

Nice. I haven't taken the time to theme and tweak it yet, but once I get some more free time I will.
What about all the libs ? I see some stuff from maps which he propably forgot to delete but I want to add some GApps from another package how do I know which libs and dependencies to add ?
What is each zip for?
I'll just love to know what does each zip on http://goo.im/devs/BaNkS/GApps/4.3 does !!!
Have been looking and can not find an explanation on that, on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857 only 4.4 zips are described.

[Q]Google maps without gapps?

Can I use Google maps without installing gapps package?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Maybe install the maps apk?
Yes, you can use all of them from playstore. But make sure you install the gapps at least for the sake of playstore and Google play services. Go for the Pico or nano pack

Pixel ROM with inbuilt Google Assistant available. Can some one port it to our Redmi 2

Almost All Redmi 2 ROMs have Google assistant built into it.Flash Nano Gapps or bigger one to get it to work.
You can use Aroma Gapps to get all apps like Google Camera, Google Dialer,Google Contacts and all the ****
if you any thing more, the apps are avaialble at XDA
The Latest AICP nightlies have the Pixel Home Button Animation too if you want ust flash a build after 24 November.
@NR173 dude, if you wanna a built in google assistant, you need to download any custom ROM you want (like LinOS 14.1, recommended), and then download opengapps aroma. It will give you an option to install google Assistant. Do a clean install first!
Thanks bro

Which OpenGapps version

Which opengapps is appropriate for potter? Arm64?
Which opengapps version is the minimalist that still provides the password manager for apps? I like having the password auto fill for apps as they reinstall after flashing.
Thanks.

I prefer pico, the smallest package. You can install the rest from playstore. And yes, for custom ROMs you need arm64.

With pico do apps install and auto insert username/pw? For some reason i thought you had to install a gapps version that comes with chrome for this account sync feature to work.

That's a Chrome feature. You can install Chrome later from playstore like every other app.
Pico contains only google play services and package installer, these are not available in playstore. If you want the Google app (search) too take the nano package. Everything else you can get in playstore.
