Has anyone found out a way to remove the hotspot icon from the quick settings drop down. I tried putting my data back, turning it on and then off, then going back to the current date but that didn't work. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks
Try enabling the System UI Tuner. From there you should be able to rearange or remove whatever icons you like.

Btw the System UI Tuner is accessed by pulling down the notifications/quick settings and then longpress the cog until it spins. Hold for a few seconds and I think a message apears. The settings will appear below Developer options and about phone in Settings

Purely because it bugs me, anyone know why no icon appears in the bottom right corner of the first app list page only?
alright so it is not just that page of the app drawer, it is now multiple pages and multiply icons missing from the bottom left corner. I currently have my app drawer set on "customizable grid". When I change to "alphabetical grid" all icon slots fill in on all pages but when I go back to customizable gird they disappear. This is going to sound like such n00b question but how to you work the customizable grid? When I press and hold an app it immediately jumps to the home screen for me to place it.
Apparently this is a stupid simple stock Android feature that doesn't need explaining, nothing on the web (I am coming from Windows, BB, and iPhone). For those confused like me press the menu button a second time, then edit, then you can rearrange apps in the app drawer when in the customizable grid option.
My Note 3 is not like that. My pages are full of apps.
He deleted apps from that spot.... If u rearrange it to alphabetical it should fix it

:silly: nevermind
I like to have a very clean looking lockscreen, and would like to get rid of this. Any ideas? I haven't found any xposed modules with this option, and hope I may have just missed the right one.

A way would be to add a completely transparent widget which do nothing. . I don't know if exist. Perhaps a transparent clock in which you can set clock to transparent so you see nothing. . I think i had one but dont remember it now..

Just did it myself I had zooper widget installed. So i chose to create. A new widget, choose empty , set full transparent, and set do nothing. 1 minute job.. It does the work. No xposed plugin there is for this for now.
Thanks, I will try that.

Is their a way to hide the default battery icon in status bar? Any xposed module that can do the same?
I have tried a few but none of them seems to work.

Well, I use tinted status bar module for colorizing the status bar. But it doesnot colorize the default date and battery icon in slimroms. Date can be hidden from the settings and I use another xposed module, XUtilities to setup new date which colorizes the date appropriately.
But their is no setting to hide the battery icon.
Yes you can hide your battery icon. You can go to setting - navigation bar - battery icon - battery icon - hidden. Thats it.

Was just wondering this myself
I was about to post the same thing and it showed me his thread was already out there. Bumping for visibility.
I don't care if it is a quick toggle or a widget but "pull-tap-swipe-tap-tap-swipe" to enable is way too much.
I use Nova Launcher and have a shortcut set up to take me to the screen with the toggle (on/off) switch for Mobile Hotspot. This is very similar to the way you access the built-in DPI settings control.
1) Add widget
2) Drag "Activities" under the Nova Launcher section at the top to the place you want to put it on your home screen (or in a folder)
3) Scroll to "Settings" and expand the selection
4) Select "Mobile Hotspot" (.Settings$WifiApSettingsActivity) (Note: this is on my T-Mobile S7 Edge. YMMV.)
Now when you click on that widget you can activate the hotspot with one additional click.
Here's on Tmobile as well... another way is to add "TMobile Hotspot app" on the edge apps list.. then when you need it, just swipe, tap, tap to enable it
I use this literally everytime I get into my car. (I have a Android Mirror for Navigation). And its a huge PITA, to have to go into settings to enable the hotspot.
I can' believe they have nearby but not Hotspot.

Actually Apps can add there own toggle on Nougat , I have a App called ACR (paid for), and it has a toggle I can add to the pull down menu.
SO we just need a app that enables this and it will be better than before.
I use Tasker to automate hotspot when i get i my car. Create an event to detect bluetooth connection -> turn on hotspot.
I use a Power Toggles widget. With Samsung's Good Lock app, I can even add the widget to the lock screen, and turn on the hotspot without unlocking the phone.
Try this:
It is an app, no permissions no adds, add to homescreen, done.

Hi Devs
Can you pls make an app for new always on display.
As you know that with new aod when we double top a notification phone screen on and goes to app. Can you pls make an app always stays the aod as notification and when we double top it screen on like LG does?
I check ps and all XDA but could not find anything.
Thanks
If you flash the Nougat Beta and get back to a Marshmallow rom with AOD..it will work with double tap..the problem is that if you have fingerprint and security code enabled..it will prompt it first before opening the notification.

i could create an app with a permanent notification and which would open your homescreen with tasker for you. but it would also be permanently visible in your notification drawer...

Can you make it to screen off when clik app icon on home screen by bypass pin code?
to lock your screen with an app you d need to grant device administrator rights to the app. there are already apps like that on the playstore for free. id recommend this one
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=wq.lockscreen. you could just place the shortcut on your homescreen

sorry i dont use fingerprint reader. good luck
Yes! It's similar to double tap. And the icon is beautiful.
A pity not being able to remove the permanent notification from the status bar and notifications, and leave it only on the lock screen.
hey just found out about something...using nova launcher and a gesture like double tap on screen you can choose to lock your screen with root without triggering the pin code
