Is it possible to move the soft buttons to the left? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to move the soft buttons to the left? As a lefty, it's irritating as hell to have the buttons all the way over to the right. I can root or install a custom rom if required.

Power Button Dead - another way to flash roms via hard reset?

Hi Everyone,
Of course - it had to happen to me, one in a million; with the power button dead on my htc touch hd, is there any other way to do a hard reset, particularly when upgrading roms? As instructions are very precise to ensure you do a hard reset after flashing.
For me, the volume buttons combined with the top power button method don't work. - And unfortunetly, the unit is out of warranty.
Appreciate any suggestions, or any other methods possibly in trying to hard reset for flashing? Guess I'll give anything a go... 8)
thanks in advance.
Woz.
Clear Storage.
Use Clear Storage to reset your device back to factory default settings.
1. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap All Settings.
2. On the System tab, tap Clear Storage.
3. Enter “1234” and then tap Yes.
This is a hard reset via software.
~thank-you~ wasn't sure if this was an acceptable method for flashing, but new rom is now working well.
Cheers.

[Q] How to add a button to navbar?

I want to add a soft button that just takes a screenshot, without the animation if possible.
How?
I guess you would need a custom ROM.

When u use it show 3 question, follow answers:
1: DISABLE
2: ENABLE
3: ENABLE
Reboot
If not work, reflash X-note. 100% solved
Yes, i did that, and the soft key buttons are gone, but the buttons on each side of my hard "home" button does not work..... Hmmm

So reflash your X-note is the best way
When i do that, will that delete all settings i have made on my phone, or hopefully just "Reset" this button problem?

Remapping MENU and RETURN touch buttons

Hi,
My L720-S4 is experiencing a failure of the touch buttons (menu and return buttons next to the home button). I've researched and tried various programs, such as Virtual Button Bar and Button Savior. With these programs, the return function works well but the MENU button does not work.
I've done Xposed but that didn't have the options for the MENU button that I could find.
So after further research, I rooted the device to edit the /SYSTEM/USR/KEYLAYOUT/GENERIC.KL file to change the volume down button (114) to MENU. Unfortunately this also does not work.
Can I get some advice or suggestion as how I may go about reprogramming on of the keys to act as the MENU button ideally or have a menu button GUI overlay like the two software above? Device is currently on stock ROM @ 4.4.2.
Many thanks in advance for those that can help save this S4.
Cheers!
The Sprint S4 boot loader comes unlocked, and since youre already rooted, just flash a stock ROM or ODIN back to stock and re-root. All of this assuming you just want the buttons to work like stock.

It's probably me but what you suggest seems to be where I'm at right now. Flashing back to stock then re-rooting is the same as me rooting the stock ROM. If at all possible, I'm trying to map the volume down button with one press to work in place of the defective MENU button and a long hold of the volume down button will lower the volume.
Again, maybe I miss understood your suggestion so my apologies if that's the case and hope you'll explain in more detail.
Cheers!
