Android 6.0 availability

Hi!
Is there or will there be the latest version of Android for the Samsung Galaxy S4?
Thanks =)
Sent from my iPhone 6s using Tapatalk
I doubt it since my Note 3 won't even get 6.0.
Yeah, I just got a reply on Android Central related to that..
And thanks for your answer =)

We'll probably have to move to a custom ROM to experience Marshmallow on the s4.
That is what I thought :S

Help to decide

Help me to decide i want to change my LG G3 sith new device and i'm on two devices Samsung galaxy S6 and nexus 5x help me i like a lot s6 btw.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA-Developers mobile app
It really depends on your preferences, both devices have a radically different UI.
Nexus 5X has the beauty and simplicity of AOSP, while not exactly storming specs it does fairly well. Read some reviews about it.
Samsung has TouchWiz, which for some is fantastic, for others is a greek tragedy in a smartphone. However they have been improving very much on their software side.
What do you think? If I told you "go for 5x" what would you tell me?
I have the old samsung s3 and ye touchwhiz there was litle ugly but now they change it a lot and look nice and clean mayve i will go for s6.What fo you think s6 will get android N ?

Ok i make my decision i will buy s6 32 gb sm920f global version.

what's your budget btw ? s6 is a good option if you don't want to flash any custom roms. but there are plenty of better options than that. but can't recommend anything without knowing your budget..
Budget is like 360 euro

then you can easily get a opeplus 3. why waste your money with s6?
Because design is better on s6 i think the camera too its better only one plus 3 is good that to have 6 gb ram but still strugle hard dont keep app in background. And also the screan of s6 is a lot a lot better

then try Axon 7 :fingers-crossed: it has a gorgeous screen. but still s6 camera could be better but overall still op3 and Axon 7 are the best in this price range.

pairing with gear s2

so I've been reading that people with the v10 couldn't pair the gear s2. this sucks. i just got a refurbished one for 100 bucks that I've been loving and wearing over my Moto 360 2nd gen because frankly it's just better than Android wear... and now I'm coming to learn that Samsung doesn't have the v10 or even g5 listed as compatible devices and v10 owners had huge issues with it. this sucks. anyone else disappointed by this?

Pretty sure they changed that with the gear s2 and forward, they work best with Samsung devices but do work with Android 4.4 devices

You two might be right. They USED to only work on Samsung devices. I just did a little research and found the "device compatibility" list on Samsung's site, and there were tons of other devices listed other than Samsung ones.

Which is why I agreed with you and just elaborated on my findings.
edit: and admitted I was wrong.
As for OP, the Samsung list of compatible devices says "Subject to change," so after the V20 comes out in the US, they may add it to the list. HOWEVER, the list is most likely out of date now, because only the G Flex, OPTIMUS G, G2, G3, G4, G Vista, and Nexus 5 are listed. No G Vista 2, G5, or even V10. Unless they just aren't compatible or something.
I don't really know now, so I have to step back and hope you get an answer from someone else. I mean... up until tonight, I thought the Gears could still only work with Samsung devices only. I thought that was the answer, but obviously not. LOL
yeah this sucks. i really like it more than my moto 360 with android wear..it just does things much better, especially replies, and now that android wear 2.0 won't even be out until next year, it's getting kinda ridiculous and annoying.
we'll see what happens i guess. ugh!

iPhone compatibility is supposed to come at some point...
back to the topic, I love my S2 Classic, and will probably buy a S3 on launch. However I have only paired it with a Samsung. I am interested in seeing how it works with a non-Samsung Android phone. I previously had Pebble, LG's watc, Moto 360, Pebble Time, Samsung Gear 2, and Gear 2 Neo.
The S2 Classic is by far the best. I currently have it with a Samsung S7 Edge. My S7 Edge still works fine, but I find myself wanting a LG V20.
