No thats not it. I think it has to do with modifying the APN on the customer.XML in the system/CSC

T-Zones settings GPRS

Hi all I couldn't find this anywhere so I thought I would post it as it worked on my dash with WM6.1
I have Tzones and I setup the APN as epc.tmobile.com and the proxy as 216.155.165.50:8080 and the internet connects like it should. So if you already have the 5.99 Tzones (as you can't get it anymore) then this is a real cheap way for you to surf the web.
This works for me with Skyfire and IE
Peace!

Thanks, I wanted to tether as well.. for some reason I can't. Is there anything i need to change in the settings? thanks
Hi,
This did not work for me, and not sure why. This is my first smartphone (unlocked Palm Treo 750 running winmoble5). Everything works except T-zones. I'm able to get a connection using the APN wap.voicestream.com. I just get errors display the page. On my IE options settings, I have no connections tab as someone said should be use in a previous post.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You don't need a proxy. I run all the time without one using open dns dns servers. I use epc.tmobile.com.

tmobile $5.99 internet not working

anyone having this problem stared today for my bro and i both running stock 2.2.1, and the only way to get the phone to work is to put it on 2g mode
I didn't update mine, but I have lots if experience with t-zones. I'm using a nexus one on it now.
T-mobile doesn't care what speed you get. It would either block you from connecting or you get whatever the tower can serve you. They're is no special apn for the plan. my guess is that something is going on with your signal.
internet2.voicestream
Search the forums for that phrase, you'll find the settings you need. I don't remember if it was a .com or .net.

Is there a way to make the $10 phone internet plan work on the vibrant by modifying the settings? If anyone can point me out in the right direction that would be most helpful!!
Thanks in advance!!
I am trying to find exact same thing. I tried putting internet2.voicestream.com instead of Epc.Tmobile.com in apn but did not work.

Mobile internet doesn't work with apps

Help!
My Edge internet mobile apn works with internet browsers but not with apps like beautiful weather, any IM app or maps!
And yes I am using the manual APN settings from the Network website
Sounds like this might be just a WAP APN?

Bingo. Had something like that connecting Nexus to one of our carriers, turned out to be APN that doesn't support anything but the browser. Changed to "smartphone" APN, everything started working.

T-Mobile US tethering block

Hello comminity
I have a N4 using Carbon Rom and with 4G LTE active and running. Today I ran into an issue where my tethering is routing my laptop to a tmobile landing page asking me to change my plan. Anyway around this?
Interesting. I wonder how they're detecting non-mobile access.
You might try User Agent Switcher with Firefox or Chrome and then set it to a mobile user agent string. Sorry, I'd post links, but the dumb-ass forum won't let me.
The carrier is detecting that you are tethering and want you to buy the tethering plan...I would stop because they will tack that extra money for the tethering onto your bill if you don't buy the plan. I am unaware of a way around it
Write a new APN . which will eliminate the hidden settings in the stock APN. Look in the gs3 forum for ways around teather detection. Then apply it to your nexus. IT WORKS. I just LTE tethered a lot last 2 days while out of town. Convert this app 2 a system app and write new apn with it.

Do you mean just copy the existing APN info into a new listing, or create one with different settings? If the latter, which should I use?
