Does anyone have another way to root my Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F , android version 5.0 other than SuperSU ?
SuperSU wont grant root access to one of my app even i did it manually.I wonder Kingroot supporting my device or not, tried it but failed. Please help me thank you.
Mods, please move this to the forum/place where this thread belong.
Anyway, I tried to root my Grand Prime G530W on Android Lollipop 5.1.1. I used KingoRoot, which returned 0x1a3faf after hanging on 90%. KingRoot also fails. I really want to root it without tripping knox, as I don't want to permanently trigger an e-fuse (i am seriously scared about doing anything I can't undo) and I won't be able to unroot and use KNOX if I ever want to. This is my 3rd time rooting any device (Nexus 5 using CF-Auto-Root and Galaxy S2 using CWM and TWRP recovery) so you don't need to explain to me the concept of rooting. Can someone please post a method on how to root my Grand Prime G530W on Lollipop 5.1.1 without tripping KNOX? Thanks.
A few methods out there for rooting,I've read they do trip knox and that they don't trip knox.
Most methods state android LP used but MM is out for a while now.
So I'm a bit confused :silly:
I thought custom recovery tripped knox not rooting?
Specifically I'm after rooting my 910C on 6.0.1 (seems to be European Hungarian version)
N910CXXS2DPK1
N910COXX2DPI2
N910CXXU1DPC1
I do not want to install custom recovery as yet, just want to root.
3 methods I know of are
CF's auto root
towel root
king root
Read about systemless root but not read up on that as yet.
So which one DOES NOT trip knox?
Thanks

Towel root only doesn't trip knox but sadly it does not work on note 4.it works with older devices like s3 s4 note 3 running jellybean kitkat.
Preety much All other methods will trip knox even kingroot.
best .and safe way is flash twrp and flash supersu.zip systemless. And this will trip knox for sure.
If you want knox then forget root you have to choose 1 of them.

1. There is no "eng root" for the s8.
2. Since there is no "eng root", flashing nothing does not trip Knox
3. Are you asking a question or writing a script? Anyway the answer is nothing, because "if (nothing)" evaluates as nothing
If your device is an exynos, there are premade root solutions that involve tripping knox as part of the install process. No one has yet bothered to make a exynos version of snapdragon root which only charges to 80% but does not trip knox
