Make sure to backup and then erase the two modem data partitions as well. You can find the fastboot commands in the XML of the firmware packages.
Without behaviour might be not what you are looking for...

I worked for me thanks

Modem file for dual sim
Can anyone please share modem file for dual sim model as I've accidentally selected radio band as USA and hence won't get the network in sim slot 1. Also, if possible, please share link to a step by step tutorial as I'm a novice. Also plz tell me if flashing is possible without using a pc and will the warranty of the phone get void. A prompt response will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

I think Flashify can flash without an external device BUT having the OS (Android) running with all the options for locks and alarms would scare me.
I do _think_ that flashing original Motorola signed binaries will not void anything, to be more precise: With a locked bootloader such procedure should be impossible.
Before you flash a baseband (modem; for which we'd need your current version - see "my phone"), I would recommend just erasing modem setttings. I suspect this is where the modem config is permanently stored so erasing it should set this to default.
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
I would assume that after you boot, your device crashes once - so it does for me after flashing the modem. Happens when I make the first call. So just try calling your mailbox or something.
Again, I can't and I won't gurantee anything. You warranty is void!

Here's the version of baseband my phone has got.
tinypic.com/r/2ntb49c/9

I strongly suggest you try the fix above before going after this. This reflashes your modem which might be unnecessary.
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
The modem files are in the download, the ones you are looking for are in:

Thanks a lot, erasing the modems did it for me.
Many thanks mate.

Great. You can hit the "Thanks" button if you appreciate it.

I could fix my phone by erasing modems, after doing that I performed a factory reset, but now I've another problem. Installing apk files takes longer time than it would take earlier, does it have to do anything with the problem I was facing earlier?

That does not make sense - it just takes longer on the Moto X; I've experienced the same...

But it was pretty fast before doing the reset, I tried further resets, both hardware as well as software, but to no avail. The installation process is very slow, it took Facebook app atleast 5 minutes to install from apk file. Even installs from market take time and it's annoying.

See my other thread just posted. Assume this is because installs need to be converted from Dalvik to ART.
I know it was a lot faster under e.g. 4.4.2. But you sure it was also for any device with 5+?

I used this device for 2 days before messing up with radio band, i didn't face this problem during those 2 days and i used a Moto g3 for three months, didn't face this problem with that either. And it's dead slow, like currently my fb app is updating in background, it already has taken 12 minutes and is asking for another 3 minutes for a 45mb update.

I guess getting this phone replaced is the safest bet for me, as i have witnessed one more problem. When i keep the phone aside and pick it up after some time i see some strange coloured vertical lines on display at the right with rest of the screen being black. It gets right only when i lock and unlock the screen with power key. Any idea what it could be?

Hardware issue?! I would try and see what happens when you reflash it to full factory but that's of course only what I would do.

Accidentally chose some other radio band!!!

I was trying to force 3G in my OP2 and used *#*#4636#*#* to enter testing menu.
Under that menu, I accidentally selected some other radio band and now one sim( SIM 2) is disabled(unable to find network).
I tried resetting phone to factory setting, but it didn't helped.
Also updated to latest OxygenOS 2.2.1, still one sim is disabled.
Please help....

Flash OxygenOS Zip via Stock Recovery
---------- Post added at 09:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:37 AM ----------
Before Flash Remember to Wipe All the Data
Hi,
My OnePlus 2 was running Exodus ROM, which had 2 Sim's: Vodafone (2G/3G) & other Jio (Only 4G/LTE).
I read a blog, that In order to increase the download speed from the Jio SIM, preferred LTE Band should be switched (from 3 to 40).
So, I pressed *#*#4636#*#*, >> Phone Info page >> three dot menu >> select radio band >> SELECTED Band mode 40.
Immediately after that,
Vodafone Sim stopped working in any of the SIM-Slots, But Jio sim (4G) was working in both the slots.
*****
Then I ran these commands in fastboot mode:
"fastboot erase modemst1 "
"fastboot erase modemst2 "
"fastboot erase cache"
Immediately, Both the SIM slots stopped working.
*****
Then I flashed "new-modem.zip" from benschhold (https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24407100847293158)
which makes SIM-Slot-1 work with both Vodafone & Jio,
But SIM-Slot-2 only detects the sim, but with 0 network bars i.e. "No service| Vodafone"
*****
Clean flashed OOS 3.0.2 via TWRP, but SIM-Slot-2 = "No service| Vodafone".
I tried to manually search for networks,
It shows all the networks 2G & 3G in my city.
But connecting to Vodafone network from the list, always fails.
I think the latching (on to network) mechanism of SIM-slot 2, is faulty.
*****
Then clean flashed Exodus 29/8 build, but no fix.
Later, dirty flashed Exodus 31/8 build, which was supposed to flash the correct radio/modem/baseband on my OnePlus 2, but SIM-Slot-2, still doesn't let the SIM latch on to the network.
*****
Today, flashed "old-modem.zip" from benschhold, which resulted in phone stuck in boot loop.
Started OnePlus 2 Toolbox on PC, & flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 via fastboot mode.
,successfully booted in TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery.
flashed "new+modem.zip" (by benschhold).
Phone is working again, but SIM-Slot-2 = "No service| Vodafone".

Will stock reset to OOS 3.0.2 from this link:

fix this SIM-Slot-2 / EFS / Modem problem ?
Also, while stock reset, can this happen without formatting the internal storage ?
As I have 35+ GB of pics/music/data, which will take a lot of time to backup !

Stock Reset to OOS 3.0.2 might fix your issue but it will completely wipe your phone so you'll need to backup anything you want to keep first.
Not sure why you wiped your EFS partitions without taking a backup first...

Thanks for replying back.
I'm downloading your fastboot.zip file (1.13 GB) right now (does the zip file also contain all steps, to flash correctly ?).
You mentioned in that post, that we can add REM command in .bat file to avoid format to data partition, can this be done with internal storage too ?
Also, I don't know what is EFS partition, & did not knew I had to back it up, before flashing custom ROM.
Anyways, can you tell, out of all the steps I did.
Which step actually made the SIM-Slot-2, to behave in this way ?
Was it, the "erase modemst1 & modemst2" in fastboot ?
Or
flashing new or old modem zip of benschhold ?
As at first step, selecting the band 40, only made the Vodafone SIM not work, but the both the SIM-slots were still working fine with Jio sim.
& Erasing modem st1 & st2, made both SIM-Slots stopped working.
& flashing new-modem.zip, actually made SIM-slot-1 work again (with both Vodafone & Jio),
Then why did this not work with SIM-Slot-2 ?
Logically, whatever made SIM-Slot-1 work, should also work for SIM-Slot-2 too (with slight modifications) ?
Will flashing a good/proper modem.zip make the sim-slot-2 work again ?
Rather than me, wiping my phone to OOS ?
What do you think ?

I don't think the fastboot zip will solve your problem as it only contains the rom and firmware. I'm not sure that even the Stock Reset to OOS 3.0.2 tool will either but it's worth a go.
Erasing modemst1 & modemst2 with fastboot is what's caused your problem but I'm not sure how to solve it.

I don't think he can fix that.
EFS has the information about the IMEI of a phone as far as I know.
No IMEI = No signal
A dual SIM phone has two IMEIs, and that probably explains why one is working after restoring one EFS...

But I did not restore any EFS,
then how come IMEI 1, is working fine, even after erase command,
I checked IMEI 2 = 0.
& I checked a lot of OnePlus One forums. (OnePlus 2 has a lot less threads)
It's mentioned many times, that erasing modemst1 modemst2, does not erase the actual IMEI info from phone. (As it's stored in some other deep partitions).
Modemst1 modemst2, are supposed to rebuild themselves, after they are erased.
Correct me, if I'm wrong.

On some devices they're rebuilt from a backup in the fsg partition but it looks like this doesn't work properly for SIM2 on the OP2.
I see you've posted this in a couple of threads in the OP forums too! Good luck - there are very few people over there that know what they're talking about so be careful before trying anything that anyone suggests.

Hi @osr.arora,
Unfortunately I do not think the stock reset will help you with this issue (as those partitions are not at all touched by the OnePlus Stock Reset), however I would strongly suggest you to take a backup and reset the device as a starting point.
Do you have a nandroid backup of your device (all partitions)? Even if it is an old one, try restoring them.
Sorry but I am out of ideas for getting this sorted.

No, that's for the OnePlus One - you'll end up bricking your phone if you use tools built specifically for another device.

I haven't actually downloaded that software yet.
Can you recommend any other software, which allows writing IMEI !

Hi,
Could you tag the names of those few people, who have the actual know-how of technical issues.
LOL, I guess no one has solved this issue till now. Every thread regarding this issue on every site remains unanswered . I request the developers to try finding a solution to this problem. All the best ppl.
wrong radio band issue
Even I changed the band to band 40 however, I am getting the networks on both the Sim one being Jio and other being Vodafone. But the issue is I am not able to make calls from my vodafone number. There is no problem with incoming calls but out bound calls are not happening. JIO is working fine on both sim slots. Vodafone giving problem no matter if I switch the sim slots as well.

Tried to Flash stock, now no wifi or Sim

The ROM I was using wasn't working so I decided to flash stock to my phone again. Now when it boots it has no wifi and doesn't recognise the (single sim model) Sim Card.
It also reboots periodically.
I can't find a fix for this, but I think it might be because I flashed the Europe Stock while my phone is from Vodafone australia.
Restore your nandroid backup or flash appropriate firmware for your region.

What region would the Australian Vodafone version be?
I don't know that..Try Asian firmware..if nothing works restore nandroid backup you'll find those here on other threads.
Flashed the latest EU stock I could find and it does boot. About 80% of the time it boots it doesn't connect to wifi or mobile and reboots. Looked at it in log cat and can't find anything I think could cause it to not work.
When it does work there is no mobile data even though I set up the APN as Vodafone instructed on Vodafone's site
Was looking around in logcat looking for why 3g isn't working found this
06-21 18:39:59.745 2299 2299 I ModemStats: [ModemStatsService] startDataStall, type=PDN Establishment Failure, cause=unspecified

Reset it and and booted with no wifi, ran logcat and towards the end got this chunk.
Have rebooted about 20 times and gotten no boots with wifi or sim
Found out the australian version is the EU firmware from the Vodafone website
When you flashing the stock firmware are you flashing the modems and radios correctly?
Try this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/general/how-to-flash-stock-marshmallow-firmware-t3277657
I'm fairly sure that I'm flashing the modems and radios correctly, but I will reflash using this guide anyway.
Is there a way to flash those two without reseting the phone?
Okay reflashed the phone using the commands from the Forum post. In the select wifi network menu it has no wifi and MAC 02:00:00:00:00:00 and occasinonally says "Turning Wi-Fi on..." with nothing much happening
Okay got it past the start scren and basically got it back to square one with still no 3g and it only boots with Wifi and Sim one 3rd of the time
Tried just flashing the Modem with
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo

Moto X Play - No incoming calls, callers get 'busy' tone. No notifications either.

Hi, bought my daughter an X Play, October 2015. A few months ago we realised that whenever anyone tries to call the phone, they just get the 'busy' tone. Daughter also says notifications don't come through, and options have disappeared from the pull-down menu.
The phone makes outgoing calls with no problem, no problem browsing online, no problem with using Snapchat, Whatsapp etc, but she has to check for messages manually as she isn't receiving any notifications. As far as I can see, no option has been accidentally selected to turn notifications off.
Is this a known problem? If anyone can list the things I can try to make the phone fully functional again, it would be highly appreciated. We have not made any modifications to the phone at all, it's just the standard phone, not flashed any custom ROMS etc (I'm really not technically minded enough to do it if I wanted to!). Hope someone can help.
Many thanks, Andy.
I have similar problem, but people say that they call me normally.my phone doesnt ring or screen opens,or missed call appears anywhere.very weird.

You need to download the whole firmware. The NON-HLOS.bin file is for your radio. You also need to erase modem stats after flashing it. The fastboot commands are as follows:
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
thanks.I will wait till new firmware with January OTA included,is ready for download,or someone creates a flashable rom and then I will do this.

Many thanks for responding. I've never flashed or reflashed anything, so I think this is something beyond my capability. I have some techie friends who I'm sure can help with this though. If it needs anything doing to it beyond changing some settings, clearing the cache, or factory reset, I don't have a clue! And roms are very unlikely to contain radio files. They usually have system and kernel only.

No prob. What you can also try yourself is dialing
Code:
*#*#4636#*#*
This will open Testing menu. In Phone information section you can set preferred network type and check the following settings:
GSM only
WCDMA only
LTE only
(2G, 3G, 4G respectively) and see if your problem persists on all types of network. It could be that your phone will work normally on 2G but not on 3G for some reason, so it's still usable. If you change these settings they will persist until reboot.

The process is the same as when you flash firmware in fastboot, so you need pc with motorola drivers and fastboot software, you then boot your phone in fastboot mode (bootloader) and enter two commands:

Yes, just turn off the phone and then powe and volume down and you're in fastboot mode.
and for the second thing - firmware is everything - system, kernel, modem, recovery, bootloader and all the other stuff and that's what you flash in fastboot. Rom is just system+kernel we flash in TWRP.

I'll run through the tests you've suggested but I think I need to put a SIM card in, as my daughter removed it to put into her new iPhone Not my decision, all down to mother... think I have a spare PAYG SIM around the house I can use though. Thanks for the suggestions.

Don't bother the tests. If Home button is not working then your phone went into setup mode, it's a software bug and you can fix it yourself.
1. get Activity Launcher from Play Store
2. find Setup Wizard on the list of All Activities
3. launch com.google.android.setupwizard.SetupExit activity
Your phone should be back to normal.

I think it is!!! home button works, notifications showing, pull down toolbar shows all options, this really seems to have sorted it! I need to test with a SIM inserted, but whatever the hell you told me to do, seems to have worked....thanks so much! We now have a very useful spare Smartphone. I'll comment again once I've done a full test with SIM inserted etc, let you know if it really is all good. Cheers for now! Andy.
hello again.I reflashed firmware with pc commands.it seems that I have the issue again.my phone doesnt ring at all!which commands can I execute without reflashing again the whole firmware??thanks.

X522 no service after update to 5.8.021s?

Bought this phone last week off ebay thought I would update the firmware so I found the 5.8.021s file and did the update ZIP. It updated fine and everything worked except the phone. It shows the sim card as t-mobile with my phone number and cellular data calls and messages as t-mobile but when I try search for network I get "error searching for network". I tried different sims that I know are good and nothing works. I would return it to the original firmware but I wasn't smart enough to back it up. I would flash a new modem if I knew how maybe that is the problem. I have an x829 as my daily driver this was going to be a birthday gift.
Baseband MPSS TA 2.1 c700008-8976 GEN PACK-1.85233.30.76286.2
EUI version 5.8.021S
Thanks in advance.
Rick
Exactly the same issue here, was using the 21s firmware as my daily driver and suddenly the sim stopped working, in settings / about phone / status, I can still see the network and phone number being read but no network service at all.
I have tried flashing as dead phone, and updating roms back to 21s but nothing has worked so far, also different modems but nothing still.
The more I read the more common I see this problem is on Le Eco phones !!
Help anyone !!
Fixed it. Installed the small EUI by aurel. He had a note about my predicament on the first page. Great ROM for me and a big thank you to him. So here is what I did. Probably would have worked on the 21s too.
1. Download the adb, fastboot drivers
2. Install it on your PC.
3. Restart the phone in fastboot mode (power + vol down)
4. Type this commands in the terminal:
Quote:
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot reboot
5. Done.
Thanks again

This is where mine had bigger problems, I had IMEI for both sims and MEID but after losing signal and trying this advice lost all information and baseband !! ( stupidly I forgot to backup this info )
At the moment I am screwed, I have managed to get back baseband and IMEI numbers but still no MEID ( zeroed out ), I am guessing because it is a global phone it needs some kind of MEID / ESN even if I am not using CDMA at all !!
...Or I 'm missing something stupid ?!
Tried *#*#4636#*#* and in to try to turn on radio but nothing , even tried with various sim cards but still no signal even with IMEI and baseband good !! Just can't switch on radio !
Any ideas would be great !!
Crap, so sorry for you. You might put a question in the questions and answers section. I should have put a note in saying that I have no idea what I'm doing. This happened to work for me after only four days of screwing around with this stupid phone trying to figure out how to put a new ROM in. My patience had almost run out and next I was going to do a crush test video matching the phone against my 4 door Dodge Ram pickup. Best of luck to all.

Not your fault man, I need someone to upload a backed up EFS/ QCN file from the X522 model specifically and I can change the IMEI back to my original one and try to figure out how to get the radio switched on to receive signal !! The problem I see here is the MEID numer being zeros and LeEco don't put this number on the box with the rest of the IMEI's etc. I always thought this wasn't needed if I'm not using CDMA but I don't know if it is a must on global phones !!
I installed the small EUI ROM by aurel and that is where the bright idea of deleting those two files came from. The new ROM turned my X522 into a X526. I think the base ROM is 5.9.26S. The only reason I originally messed around was I wanted the nav lights at the bottom to stay lit. They do now.
I don't think these phones have a MEID number since they aren't CDMA but like I said I know nothing.

Motorola G4 Play - X1607 Consumer Cellular edition - Fix SIM Lock (6/2018 SW update)

I originally bought an X1607 because it was SIM unlocked (or at least wasn't enforced) in 1/2017.
As of an Android update to 7.1.1 in 6/2018, the newest radio firmware either enables SIM locking to Consumer Cellular SIM cards only, or at least enforces it if previously enabled.
My phone essentially became a brick, as I wasn't able to use it as a phone or an LTE device.
First I tried to just buy an unlock code from eBay. Nobody at the time of this posting was able to generate the unlock code. Consumer Cellular was of NO HELP at all, I'd rather bang my head against a wall than talk to them again.
Luckily for me, BOTH of my parents also had this phone, so I had a few phones to work with and try to get it working.
NOTE: Do NOT just unlock the bootloader and install Lineage, that will not make it work.
It took some doing, but this is how I fixed the issue. It works with a stock phone with a locked bootloader.
1) Download the official image for "harpia" at the link. [mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/harpia/official/]
2) I used the "Consumer Cellular" version, but I hope that it will work with the others. The "CCAWS" version was the one that I used. (NOTE: If this is not in fact the "Consumer Cellular" version, it did work with my phone version).
3) Copy the following 2 files out of this zip file.
NON-HLOS.bin
fsg fsg.mbn
4) Perform the following commands from your command line.
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
5) Reboot, and you should have it working now.
6) Turn off all Automatic Updates, you don't want to do this again.
Please let me know if you have any issues and I'll do my best to help you out.
Great timing, a friend just ran into this issue and I will now be able to help them out...hopefully
Thx

Glad to help.
If you have any issues, PM me and if I am needing to add or improve the OP, I'll edit it in there.
Worked great, thx.
Have you tried flashing other carrier firmware, like maybe the unlocked version? Or do you have to unlock bootloader to do that?

You're welcome. Glad to have helped.
Good question on flashing to another carrier.
Just took a look, and didn't see anything that is obviously looking like it is T-Mobile. They might not even have a G4 Play version. I was just irked that it had worked for so long that they just now decided to lock it, and then were completely unwilling to unlock it now that I'm well outside of the return window.
Thanks for posting the guide! Worked great!
Might want to post this to the Moto G4 Play forum, because this forum is for the OG Moto G.
But otherwise, nice guide!
Many Thanks
I haven't tried this unlock yet but regardless...A big thankyou for your listing
did not work for me

Hello, I have two Consumer cellular in android 6.0.1 and followed the steps you provided, downloaded the ccaws version but it keeps on prompting the unlock code, I wonder why you used CCAWS if phone is consumer cellular and that is the firmware presumed to be the carriers, it wouldn't make sense to use the same model's modem to unlock it. Any other suggestions?
Goodnight. update the phone that was unlocked did not request sim code. Now on reboot I am left with network blocking. What would be the solution?
