Stuck on lollipop if you took the ota. Also @*Detection* PLEASE stop posting that link, its like you didn't even read it, team firewater showed a prrof of concept to a fellow researcher and that was that, there's no plans to release it and there's nothing in that article about how to do it.

Where can I find a stock rom for Lolipop update

I have SM-G900V, it's rooted, but I am no longer interest in rooting phones, lost interest and don't need it.
I got an alert on my phone saying Verizon wants me to update my phone, i ran it, but not successful. So I am looking for a Stock lolipop update that I can use with ODIN program. It's simple and no headache.
Can someone please send me a link to the MD5 file I can odin?
Thanks.

You need to flash retail NK2 tar to get root. Then you'll use a 5.0 ROM to upgrade.

Wrong forum dude

How long you guys think before we have a flashable Android 5.1.1 Zip for N910F?

Since Android 5.1.1 is already out for N910F how long do you guys think before we see a flashable Zip with root from one of the devs?
I haven't seen anybody even mention anything about this so hence thought I might as well ask the question.
I know we can flash using Odin etc but it is a very cumbersome and confusing process especially with all the different BL, AP, CP CSC files for the different models.
Sorry if it is a stupid question
Well, it might take about a week . Not so sure . But If you are like me , who was unable to tolerate 5.0.1 you can odin it .It is not cumbersome at all ! The battery and the performance you get out of 5.1.1 is the way Note 4 should have been from the start . Go odin it .
EchoeRom v10 (5.1.1) has been released already..

Sorry but the developer of echoeroms asked to don't post his job here on xda.
Tried flashing the Swedish image from youmobile.org but odin failed at “Invalid Ext4 image”. Successfully rolled back to 5.0.1 official immediately, but am getting the "android.process.acore has stopped" error.
Wonder if I can fix this without rooting/disturbing the Knox counter.
Edit: Kies noticed the difference and updated again to 5.0.1, seems all is good now. Lucky me.

there are 2 possibilities about flashing g900f firmware on your g900v:
1) it will refuse to flash
2) you will hardbrick
as I said earlier, please flash this to check whether your bootloader is locked or unlocked.

The G900F has an unlocked bootloader - the G900V does not. If it does flash, you can root if you want. If it doesn't flash - all your stuff will still be there.

Now I understand the situation.
I would NOT attempt to unlock the bootloader, just use FlashFire, unless you want AOSP. Try flashing a G900F rom on yours. I don't see why it would not work

Yes, you can downgrade APG1 to APD8!!!!!

First, flash ENG boot in the AP. Then, go back immediately and flash the CSC CP and AP of the ROM of your choice. Simple, easy, DOWNGRADE COMPLETE!!!

I wanted to know you you could wip up a quick tutorial or steps for us . I can tell its really simple and easy. but once we unzip the firmware wont it then lose the md5 has and signature. of are the 5 files inside also signed.

Since they are all official and signed files I would assume that this would not trip knox. But I can not verify for sure. Also I thought knox checks to see if the boot loader is unlocked.
I have another question. with an unlocked boot loader don't we still have the problem of dm-verity being enabled that would stop use form flashing mods and roms.

The main thing that *most* people want is the U firmware. Also, I'm not really sure exactly what knox does other than to not trip it.

Not to get off topic but what's the big deal about the u firmware is it Universal or is it unbranded with a lot less bloat. Or additional features?

Probably stuck, but you should still be able go between the latest U and V firmwares. I am giving up on a non engboot root method. Sammy signed that kernel so it should always flash and permit root. But, that's not a well educated guess...

You can't. The only reason we can is because we have a leaked engineering kernel that allows root. Sadly Verizon killed root on the S6 about a year ago.

Hello, I just tried rooting my verizon s7 edge on the ph1 update using the link someone on this thread provided to someone else and am now stuck in a bootloop with the verizon logo stuck on the screen. How did you achieve root on yours? by using the same steps? Also, what do you think could have possibly went wrong and how would I be able to fix this? Your help would be much appreciated.

If you're stuck on the boot logo, you HAVE TO factory reset the device. When I rooted this happened to me and after doing the factory reset, it worked like a charm

Oh ok, well hopefully it boots right up. lol So I really haven't been into rooting and flashing roms for awhile now so Id thought I give it a try on this phone. What would you say would be best for performance/stability/battery life as far as roms go? Or do you just stick with stock? i do not do a whole lot on my phone and I also don't really use much of the features that came along with the s7 edge. i just use it for light gaming/social media/picture taking. So I guess what I am asking is what is your recommendation?
