Wife has the Turbo 2 and when its unlocked from being idle, it goes to the phone call screen. She's wondering if you can set this to be the "home" screen, as per the calling screen.
I've looked to see if there's something that is in the settings, but not been able to locate anything that will show how to change or set this.
Any assistance would be appreciated!
Thanks -
If unlocking from the lock screen it will go to the last screen before the phone was locked. If she was on her home screen before it was locked and it is going to her call screen, it is because she is unlocking it to that screen. Drag the unlock icon up. If you swipe to the left or right it will go to the phone or camera, as you see their icons. If you unlock by the moto display icon, you drag it down to go to the home screen, or up to the notification icon (if there is one) to go to that app.
Oh cool, I will let her know. Thanks!

I have been searching around the internet looking for a program that will lock the touch screen while talking on the phone and give you a lock icon when not using the phone that can be unlocked by hitting the icon again. Is there a program out there like this? Also these forums have been great and a ton of help in getting my new HTC-PPC6800 running like a champ!
prefer is the program intergrated in my HTC tabs. Hope you all know something I don't!
just hit the power button on the side of the phone, or you can lock it with the lock in today. just go to start, today, lock.

The Today lock is ok but when you click to unlock it you go to another screen and confirm your unlock. Also it would be more convenient if it was a part of the HTC homeplug in tab.
search for "onlock"
new slide2lock version works good. just put a shortcut to it on your screen. with one tap it's locked.

Hello all,
I need some advice on a locking program. Here is my problem.... I generally use the power button to "lock" my phone before I put it in my pocket. Usually that works fine until I get a reminder alert or something else that causes the phone to wake up in my pocket. At that point the touch screen becomes active and all sorts of odd things start to happen as the phone bounces around in my pocket.
I really only want to lock the touch screen, not the handware buttons so I can respond to whatever caused the phone to lock up in the first place, i.e. reminder, incoming call, etc.
I also need it to be easy to unlock the touch screen using one hand and without entering a security code.
Thanks,
Jay
I use Lockdown: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1795969
it's small and simple.
Lockdown
Looks almost like what I need except it also locks the hardware buttons. I only want to lock the touch screen.

the closest thing I can think of for you is....
step 1.
menu » settings » personal » buttons » lock » do not lock buttons.
this will only lock the screen and not the hardware buttons (with the exception of the d-pad.)
step 2 is to set up the enable the device lock which is different than the security lock due to the fact it DOES NOT require a password to unlock the phone.
menu » settings » today » items » and check the box for "device lock".
--------------------
I tested it and it only takes 1 screen tap to lock the phone and two to unlock it.
any email or text will not unlock the phone.
if you receive a call the screen will remain locked however, you can answer the call without unlocking the screen by pressing hardware button with the green phone icon on it.
-----------
that's the best I can come up with. I hope this helps.
I bid you peace....

I've been using DeviceLock forever and it has always worked for me.
SLock
Does what is says on the tin, it locks the screen, not any of the hardware buttons. Its a lite lock.
I created this because the native lock used by the X1 needs to be enabled with a Today screen plug-in, which takes up too much space on your Home Screen. Also when not being used it doesn't run on in the background, affecting performnace and using resources. Its just on or off.
How to use SLock.
Unzip and copy to your X1. Tap the file and your screen locks.

Tap the screen anywhere, the unlock symbol appears, tap it and the screen unlocks.

Simple....SLock.
Any calls, texts or emails that come through to your phone with Slock on can be handled in the normal way, it does not interfere with any phone functions whatsoever, it simply locks the screen.
I have a shortcut to SLock on my Today screen, one tap I know my screen is locked, 2 taps and its unlocked.
SLock is provided as Freeware and is for personal use.

Also S2U Lock runs in the background when not being used affecting performance slightly.
How to use SLock.
1) After youve unzipped the download, copy anywhere on your X1.
2) If you have Pocket Plus 4, or other program launcher, just paste a link to SLock on your Home Screen for an easy, one tap lock.
3) When activated with a tap a locked symbol appears on your phone to confrim the screen is locked, then fades away to leave a black screen, to prevent screen burn and save battery resources.

If you have your X1 set to auto dim that will also kick on and completely turn the screen off as normal. Turn on again with quick press of power button as per normal.
To unlock simply tap the screen anywhere to bring up the unlock symbol, tap the unlock symbol, SLock ends quickly, your phone is ready to use.

There is only a powerpoint file in the zip file?
ET- Tap the file and your screen locks, tap the screen and tap the unlock symbol and the screen unlocks.
This is an example of how easy it is to customise SLock with your own background screen to make it your own.

You'll be tapping your screen on and off all day
Enjoy !
( I hope this passes the censors, iv seen worse on Strictly Come Dancin )

My native lock work just fine without enabling the today plugin, just hold red button(hang up) for a while and its lock ^^
GOF007 - Thanks for sharing, I didn't know this, that is useful. Its given me an idea of mapping SLock to a hardware button.
It is good to have a graphical lock screen ^^. The original one is very plain and cannot be customize.
SLock would do a great job if it highly customizable in term of layout and background, and work in place of native lock(on the holding red button).
I was wondering how to change the background screen when my TP2 is lock. I tried downloading different themes and background and it still doesn't change. I have a tmobile with stock rom and official 6.5 upgrade. Can anyone help.
thanks.
The background of your lock screen is the background of your Today screen. That is to say, the background set for Windows Mobile 6 and not the Touch Flo 3D background.
If you want to change your lock screen background, go to the Settings tab in TF3D, press the left soft key ("All Settings"), select the "Today" icon, and at the bottom of the first tab there will be a checkbox and a browse button to select your background picture.
S2U2
You also may want to consider S2U2. It offers much more control over locking phone and pictures Give it a search and check it out.

Thanks alot guys. I actually went to that window/tabs but wasn't sure what it would(I'm a newbie). Thanks again
I m having a really annoying problem. When I first got my phone (tilt2) I was trying out different lock screen backgrounds and somewhere along the way the incall lock screen buttons changed to these really horrible like round custom things. I didnt install anything so I dont have a CLUE how to get them back to the default buttons that I liked. Anyone have an idea?
I have posted this before a couple of days back on another thread so sorry.
Just wanted to know if there is a reg key that i can modify to get HD2 slider lock back.
A little background to the problem, i installed Cookies Home tab and now my slider lock is gone(the one that comes default with HD2). It may not be related to CHT as the folks on the other thread suggest. when i try the soft key lock button on right hand side bottom it used to lock my phone and i had to unlock it using the slide lock. Now it still gets locked but the home screen still remains and an unlock shows up at the bottom left hand side, which on tapping presents me with an ugly out of the place unlock screen and on tapping it again i am able to unlock it.
I am tempted to do a hard reset coz i like the default slider lock, however i want to give in to tweaks and try things before jumping for the extreme. Any suggestions/ bright ideas appreciated.
Thanks
P.S. I tried S2U2 but i kinda miss the default one and uninstalled it.
Sorry guys i figured out what was wrong and i have the default slider lock back!
the reason it was disabled was, my setting> lock > display was set to windows classic.
I changed it to windows default and the lock is back.
Thanks.
