Does anyone else feel the fingerprint scanner is getting slower? It doesn't feel as snappy as it used to.
No
If you try and use it right after eating Taco Bell with the grease and cheese and sauce that may be the problem.

Amen
I've used it with wet hands and its still good

YES. However in my case it turns out it went slower when I used a case. Noticeably slower, annoyingly so. Maybe you've got a case on it?
Maybe a tiny bit but nothing is really complain about.
Not noticed and slow down.
For me it's always snappy.
Seems lightning quick still to me 2 weeks in.

Mine has pretty much stopped working for my right finger and maybe only 50% for my left finger. RMA time.
mine works for a while, then it doesn't, then it works again. I don't want to RMA it but I may have to.
No problems here. Working just as fast as the first day I got the phone.
So far it works a treat!
Mine is still crazy fast
So for mine I found out I have to clean it, good, with lens cleaner. I guess finger marks build up on it after time from dirty hands. It is now better, but still feels a hair slow, may just be due to my being used to it now though.
I work in a super dusty. Greasy. Wet place. My finger print is always dirty. Works super fast for me.

I put mine in a ziplock bag while at work. I get off work and take the phone out and don't have to worry about cleaning the phone off. The fingerprint reader actually works even through the plastic bag

Is it bad that I can FEEL the screen around the trackpad thingy when I use it? I feel like I'm gonna cut my thumb on the screen glass. :/

I can feel it a little, but not a crazy amount. It is in no way uncomfortable, and is neeeeeearly flush with the front of the phone for me
Mine is extreme opposite. I'm gonna try to get it fixed. NOT playing the refurb game. :/

My button has been recessed since I got it, no problems. It might Depend on which version you have, and what screen you actually have.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Ya know, never noticed that it is recessed... but it sure is. Could probably cut myself if I pressed hard enough but have no need to do so.
It shouldn't be pushed in on either screen. Looking at my DINC (only a week old) its perfectly flush with the screen.

Had mine since day one and that perfectly describes how mine is: VERY minuscule recession. Like barely noticeable.

Yep I'm in the same boat. Very nice though and no complaints about mine. Only slightly recessed on the inner circle, otherwise just about flush around the edges.
My trackpad is flush with the screen but I did have a refurb that the trackpad stuck out a little bit. For some reason I kind of liked it out a little more.
I never use my trackpad...I honestly don't know why they put one on there...

I love the trackpad. Its so useful. When browsing websites its great for getting those hard to touch links.
I bought a transformer a day or two ago at pc Richards. The problem is I have one tiny dead pixke but I fixed that but now I realise there's a dust at the top of "s" in Asus. Everything else is surprisingly perfect no light bleeding the software is super fast and responsive ,and the speakers work great and everything. Should i just say tough poo and keep it or risk It and return it for one that could be bad. What would you do?

Are you reffering to the Asus in the bezel? If so, keep it.
Keep it for a day or too more and see if the dust really bothers you. These things get finger prints smudges so bad I carry a cleaning cloth in my case. In a day you might find that the smudges obscure any dust.
It all depends on how anal you are, I wouldn't send money back just because it has district under the screen (unless there's a lot of it and its highly visible) . I have a few light bleeds on mine and it doesn't really bother me.
I've had my G3 for about a week now and I absolutely love the device. I'd like to have a discussion about build quality of the device since there's some things I've noticed with my 32gb D855 model that I'm wondering if others have had also.
1) The digitizer is quite noticeable, I guess my eyes have adjusted a bit now but it is there and quite noticeable when I pay attention
2) The back plate is screaming poor quality: it is very creaky near the top above the infrared and also around the volume down key you can really press the device and hear it creaking like a Samsung device
3) Unfortunately after caring for it with my life somehow the back cover got a huge scratch..I don't possibly know from what..a fleck of dust in the air or Something but still this shouldn't have gotten such an ugly huge scratch so easily!
4) Dust/sand or dirt is easily getting into the bezels right where the screen ends
5) As mentioned in another thread I've had the spontaneous shut down but let's not delve into that on this thread
Anyone else want to share their experiences?

I think the device feels wonderful when im using it. But I do agree that one drop and this thing is gonna be in trouble.
I managed to put a 2inch scratch on the back and I'm so carefull but managed to scratch it.

Just got mine yesterday but #2 is not an issue for me. The back is very solid and doesn't have any flex at all. I am going to put a slim case on mine though and I already have a tempered glass screen shield.
Well, mine seems pretty solid so far (got mine on Monday), the only thing from your list i noticed as well is the dust at the bezel, but it's not really in the bezel, it's just sticking at the edges, because the bezel is slightly higher than the screen, that's a bit annoying, but not really bad, because it can be easily swiped away. Except of that, I'm pretty pleased with the build quality so far, looks and feels premium, just the back doesn't feel that slick, because of the plastic, but it's still not bad at all.
Oh, and the back buttons are slightly too hard to push, but that's also not a big deal.
So, great device, I'm a happy owner^^

Do we have the same device?
1: I can barely see the digitizer unless i shine a bright light into the screen.
2: the back cover on mine fits perfectly, to the millimeter. The only creaking i hear is if i try to twist the device at either end which is acceptable as its a removable cover so should have some give.
3: that is unfortunate
4: Is this not normal of all phones. They all have a small gap between the glass and phone body. its hard to avoid, but not very big on the G3.
5: ive not had this issue fortunately.
Ive found the build quality to be very good. everything fits very nicely. and its a big step up in quality from the nexus 5 which already had a decent build quality.
Had mine for 6 days, comparing this to say an s4 or s5 is like comparing a Citroen 2CV against a Ferrari, the difference is immense in terms of both looks, build quality and feel. Loving it ?
Just got mine an hour ago. I'm coming from an S4. This phone feels cheap in comparison. I'm not sure if I'll get used to not having the true black that one gets with an AMOLED screen. But hey, it's only been an hour.

It really is a big difference between AMOLED and IPS screens. There completely different technologies, keep in mind though the IPS screen is more closer to every other screen you look at every day so its not like you dont use them already.
Im not liking how the G3 is get bashed around recently, if your not happy with it then i suggest people go back to samsung. Ive had it over a week now and the phone grows on me more every day. Once roms and tweeks come out this phone will be even more amazing

Is that sarcasm? Lol
On my job I get my hands/fingers get real dirty, I'm having an issue where the fingerprint scanner won't scan my dirty ass fingers. I'm assuming this is normal? Lol because once I wash my hands it works. But if fingers dirty phone will say it's not a match when turning on the device via home button 3 out of 5 times it won't unlock.

I've found that if finger or reader is dirty it won't read. If finger is sweaty or wet it won't read either. I feel like the reader isn't very accurate to begin with.
You're tripping my dude
It works 100% of the time for, unless (like you said) my finger is dirty or oily or whatever.. But I wouldn't really expect it to work under those circumstances anyway. Can't say the reader isn't accurate with dirty hands ?
The fingerprint scanner works because it's capacitive. When you're fingers are wet, dirty, or both, it can't get an accurate match of your finger because the particles on your finger are blocking it from properly reading.

Hello,
Ive had my Pixel XL Since October. I've used it day in and day out since then. Have been very careful with it. In November I got a case for it. Made buy Bear motion. I noticed that when I would put my phone down on any level surface. I would rock back and forth. I thought it was the case, so I didn't think much of it. Today I was rocking the phone Naked and it did the same thing! After taking a look at it, I tried bending the phone from is corners to try to straighten it out. I put it back on the counter and now was rocking the opposite way. It wasn't very forceful either. I mean very little effort on pressing of the corners. I'm kind of disappointed in this as I had a Nexus 6P and I know it had a bending issue (towards the center) as well but didn't rock like this. Has anyone had this issue with their Pixel or Pixel XL? I have a couple of videos to illustrate what I saw. I hope this helps explain a bit better. Sorry for the music playing in the background!

mine is bent, i noticed the rocking the other day. I thought it was my case as well, took it out, and it still rocked. Mine rocks the same exact way as in the first linked video. A lot of people say it is an iphone clone from the front, now it rocks like an iphone lol
Haha yea. Well I think it might be from maybe sitting on it from time to time.
None here. I once went go karting with my nexus 5 and it was bent like that after it. I just bent it back lol
Your phone is not bent.
The Pixel and Pixel XL are pretty durable phones. The thing about the pixel is that from top to bottom, the thickness is slightly chaffered. Depending on how smooth and even the surface, you can notice how the thickness gets thinner from top to bottom.

. I know there is a thickness difference from the top to the bottom but it shouldn't rock like it does. It's a catacorner rocking.

This. Not to mention at least 90% of all women I've known that have dropped their phone in the toilet keep it in their back pocket. That thought alone prevents me from putting my phone back there, even though it's sometimes annoying to have in the front pocket of my jeans. (The grey Google Live case is a really sticky silicone).

I've never carried a phone in my back pocket, a flat phone on a round ass just doesn't seem like a good combo.
