Thank you very very very very very very very much aki0306. But may I please ask if it is for dual sim or single sim version ? I bought this phone from Dubai (so probably asian version) with dual sim capability and soft bricked it when trying to root it. The phone is only 3 days old and I bought it while I was holidaying in Dubai. Now I am in NZ and cant go back to ask for the repair and so dependent on the people like you who provide the RUU for that dual sim phone. Any help would be much appreciated.

I couldnt download it completely either. It has downloaded upto 0.98 MB and then showed up as a complete zip file but when trying to open or extract, it is throwing up an error

How about freezing or uninstalling the blinkfeed using Titanium backup and reinstalling sense 6? Not sure if it works but can give it a try! It would pay to nandroid backup, before you play with it.

Guys does any one knows if i unlock my BL itll remove some apps like flash light and calculatore etc...
Cuz when i had the htc one m7 and i unlocked its BL it removes some preinstalled apps
So im afraid if i unlock my BL some apps will be removed and there is no rom at this moment.

Hey aki0306, do you know what happen when you install it over the dual sim version ? Does everything fails or it will install properly but you can use only a single sim ? Did any of the users tried by any chance ?

mine is single sim taiwan version.
this RUU cant flash to my device.
RUU check to CID, MID, ROM version and HBOOT version.
if dont match cant flash.

Hi, Being new to HTC I'm not familiar using hboot. What are the steps to flash this RUU? Do i use abd? what are the commands? Since I rooted my phone I lost some apps and other install and don't show in app drawer I would like to return to stock. Mine should be Asian version w single sim. This is all I know about phone.

Advice do not root your phone until android 5.0 comes

Hello HtcDesire820 user I will give Advice if you want you can take or let it go Do not root your phone and install recovery because there no stock recovery available yet it means If you install any recover you will can't get updates from HTC and lollipop is coming so first think and root and there no custom Rom available some people also facing problem after root user can't install busybox and some rooted apps

I knew about this website but developer have not given any information about for which model is Rom for and what are the bugs.. So That's why I make this thread and I don't want to people brick there devices

The site is probably fake
I tried downloading the so-called ROM (which is being split into 3 zips, which is weird) and it was hosted on downloadsafe, which I believe is also fake. And the comments are fake too, the site doesn't even have a user login, so how come there are "testers" with PROFILE PICTURES comment on that?
I know how disappointing it sounds, but sadly I'm almost sure that there are no lollipop ROMs available at this time.

I already found plenty of similar links about several devices. They said they copied the procedure from XDA forums but this doesn't exists on it -> no more comments needed I think
... but I can't wait to see Lollipop on a 64bits CPU

No Custom ROM yet, not even CM12??
It is hard for me to digest the fact that it has been nearly 3/4th of a year since Desire 820 DS has been available and yet there is no 5.0 custom ROM. It is weird.
Not even CyanogenMod 12??? We should have at-least a nightly build of 64-bot CM12/12.1 available for D820 DS!
On a side not, D816 users have reported that if you upgrade to lollipop (official) without doing a hard factory reset then you might get memory issues. One of the users reported that he did a hard factory reset before upgrading to official 5.0 update and it seems that everything is working very much fine. But that was for Desire 816, who knows we might have a totally different issue since it'll be a 64-bit build.

Guys I have posted stock recovery file link at the forum, do fast boot flash.

mate, you can backup your stock recovery after rooting.
also this site upgrade to lollipop dot com thing is totally fake
do not flash any rom from there, it will hardbrick your device

You have to relock bootloader if you unlocked and you need stock recovery for HTC officials updates

Custom rom? I had some issues like that with a different phone flashed it with the sim in, had to reflash without the sim then put it in that worked for me but its kinda a long shot

Hard telling but likely software if it was fine before the upgrade try a factory reset maybe something went wrong during the upgrade.
But like i said why bother screwing around its the carriers responsibilty to give you working updates

The easiest way to update is by flashing the factory images for the latest build, you don't lose any data doing so as you don't need to wipe. I have detailed instructions in section 10 of my guide:

You'll just need to root again afterwards.

htc desire 820g+ software update error

when i tried to update my htc desire 820g+ while installing updates it said error then the phone stopped workig and i is not charging and not responding to any thing. does any one have a solution ??
note: i tried to udate it from software update not a custom rom

when i tried to connect it to computer it recognie that there is something plugged in but not recognizing the device

Put the appropriate RUU with the suitable name in your SD card and boot the device into bootloader, it will self update.
