Take titanium backup app

Hey i need a help..
I have android one device of micromax but have a problem while installing the update of android 6.0.1 via OTA

I am sure you can do it without TB but just want to hear from some1 that did it and if that's possible just to update your system without reseting.

The easiest way to update is by flashing the factory images for the latest build, you don't lose any data doing so as you don't need to wipe. I have detailed instructions in section 10 of my guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206928
You'll just need to root again afterwards.

You're in the wrong place, you need to ask in the section for your device.

Downgrading advice (2.37) i want to get rid of pre-installed apps.

Hi,
I have seen this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152233
It's a very interesting.
Basicaly i have a HTC Desire HD on Orange. Orange put like 10 - 15 stupid apps on there that cant be deleted. If i followed the down grading guide could i then un-install the orange apps pre-loaded on the stock rom and then re-upgrade to 2.3.3?
I'm quite nervous to risk my phone when i am not 100% sure of what i am doing....
If there is another way to uninstall locked apps on 2.37 without downgrading that would be great.
Any advice is appreciated.
Kind Regards
Chris

I'm sorry,
i wrong session.
I rooted DHD any shiprom. You don't need to downgrade 1.32 . I will post GUIDE later...
You don't need to downgrade. What I would do (not sure if it's the easiest way but probably is) is root, then install Titanium Backup. You can uninstall and freeze (similar to uninstall) system apps with TB.
EDIT: Actually, you might have to downgrade if you want to root, since you're on 2.37. Not sure, though, haven't used official ROM's for a while.

[Q] General Questions

Hello,
I have a NEVER ROOTED Motorola Droid Razr M XT709
In the end all I want to do is use my SD card to store app stuff, just the data would be acceptable ( entire thing would be best ). I am figuring I need to root my device to be able to do this but before I did I wanted to make sure I was capable of rooting it and UNrooting it as well. Here is a link to a screen shot from my phone with it's basic specs displayed under Settings > About Phone : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16564468/Screenshot_2013-11-23-09-44-00.png
So...
Can I move apps or app data to SD without rooting? If so, how? If not...
Can I root? If so, what would be the safest method?
Can I unroot? If so, what is the safest method?
Thanks!
-Reiz

Unfortunately, I can't open your links at work, but I did see your first pic last night and on that version, you would have been able to root. If you took the latest update, then you can't root it.

I would assume that you're talking about a factory reset? Yes, you are boned, it will only revert back to the latest OTA, which you just did.

yes you will lose root but you can again root your device with same method...
and dont post questions here...
post in q & a forum...
With Lollipop you need the stock recovery and a completely stock, unchanged system partition (i.e. no root) or the OTA will fail.

my experiance with my device....
I've literally rooted 100s of devices in the past 5 years as it's a hobby and a side job. This is very seldom the case except for some Chinese manufacturers that are very lax on security, and even then it's not that common. Especially if it's an update to the version like 5.0 to 5.1, etc.
Unroot Sprint LG Stylo
Hello All,
I have done some searching on this and come up with different answers.
I received a OS update notification to V5. Now of course I am getting failure to update because I am rooted. I have read to use the Superuser app option to remove all files related to root and the update is still failing. The superuser option is the only thing I am getting in results. I understand that I can re root after taking the OTA update.
What method can I use to go back to stock so I am able to take this update? My phone still has stock recovery so I am kinda hitting a brick wall here.
Thank you all, I apologize if this answer is somewhere I didn't find.

Same issue here. Any other suggestions?
You will need to flash a stock system.img matching your firmware number to go stock and update. For example, boost stylo users on ZV4 can flash the system.img from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/official-boost-lg-g-stylo-unbrick-guide-t3201406

Thank you for the response, I asked a question over at that thread regarding doing that. The person in there recommended not to do that since mine is sprint and that one is boost in case there is a small difference in the file even though they are the same company, etc..

Yeah, thats why i said boost stylo users, you never want to flash a system.img from another carrier. Im not sure where you can find a stock sprint system.img but you can ask around.

New T-Mobile Update Root?

So I understand that there is a new update out and I'm wanting to upgrade to it. I'm currently rooted and have xposed installed. I was wondering if I will keep root and not have to wipe my device.
If I have to re-root it, could someone please show me the steps to take? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Yes, to upgrade to the newest firmware you will lose root and more then likely have to fully wipe your phone, just make sure you back everything up. The root method is the same as when you 1st rooted your phone, but I will leave you a link to the root thread. Always try to search for the answer's before asking question's. Hope this helps you out buddy Click here

Hey bud I hope I caught you before you took the update. I would read the stock rom thread for that update. Something about not updating the bootloader . I have not taken the update as of yet so I dont know about it but here is the thread for it. You might want to ask in there before updating.

Don't try to root Nougat from Android Infotech website!

Hi all,
I receive a lot of private messages about root for Nougat from this website:
http://www.androidinfotech.com/2017/06/root-sony-xperia-xa-ultra-nougat.html
DON'T CLIC ON IT, IT'S A CLICBAIT!
I never released anything for Nougat so please don't ask me why it doesn't work, it's only a scam to win money from ads.
If you can't find my work on Xda you will not find it anywhere.

Hi, technically root is possible, I have it but not released to the public. Why? Because nobody supported my work and as you can see my root guide have only 29 thanks. You will have to wait for a release from an other user or maybe if my guide reaches 100 thanks (don't count on it).
Damn...
I had TA dumped the day I got it and I am ready to root it.
Well, I have to return it because there no root on 7

DRM fix with TA dump doesn't work on Nougat, bootloop at Sony logo (tested on XA Ultra)
The only good news it that SafetyNet is OK with Magisk Manager app v5.0.4 and zip v13.1 on Nougat.

I'm not nervous but politeness is a minimum when someone spend some time for you, it's not normal to ask for any thank. I talk about my root guide (and root files). I was silly to think this, now I learned a good lesson: work for yourself and you will not have to wait for any thank.

Me ? I never said to go back to 6.0. Maybe it's your fault because you forgot to exclude TA parts of the firmware or you didn't used the fsc script or you used an old version of Flashtool? I downgraded/flashed my devices many times and never got any problems.

Agreed. I rolled back to 6.0 2 times without problems. Btw. I have a spare Z1 and I accidentally flashed those .ta files but they did no harm. I think they are useless even when flashed.

I successfully flashed to 6.0 (.160), but after I flashed your kernel from dev section and it has bootloop problem (from either rootpack or individual). Should I flash to earlier version? My choice is
Customized LAM (.182, 7.0)
Customized US (.182, 7.0)
Customized Peru (.160, 6.0)
Service Exchange Unit (.111, 6.0)
Please continue your work, and I always give thanks once I found it's working.
----- update -----
I sucessfully flashed to Service Exchange Unit (.111, 6.0) and everything worked as it's supposed to be, and rooted with SuperSU (but I will move to Magisk in the future)

You quoted wrong person. If you flash an older kernel over a new firmware, you get bootloop. I had that too.
I really wish I could do such coding to compile both boot and recovery because XA Ultra is really awesome, but you have to catch up with version.
