I have a Galaxy s5 running acip ROM, recently I tried to restore a backup to the phone but I got an error that stared "errors restoring/ system..." I also have 3 other backups for the ROM and I got same error for all 3. I tried factory test and dalvik wipe but still get the error, can someone pls tell me how to fix it ?

Hello everyone! So today I've rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and well went fine. After that I did a backup with Titanium Backup Pro, and put this ROM on the internal storage of the phone. I went into TWRP and did a factory reset (sintead of a data wipe as the topic said I should) and then flashed the ROM. Now I am stuck in a bootloop.
What and how can I do something to fix this? I must mention I'm kind of a noob into all of these root stuff, so please take me easy.
Which version of Note 4 do you have? N910F, N910C, ...?
The ROM that you've intalled is for N910F.
Did you flashed the right modem and bootloader aswell?

Hi All
So after checking out the SIMPLROM using TWRP I noticed that my sim card was not shown as installed (No texts/phone)
So I tried to restore to my factory backup ROM but no such luck. Error reads E:extractTarFork() ERROR=255
I have tried to recover with and without the MD5 verification, multiple cache clears but still no luck.
Any help is much appreciated
I have a spare note3 , which I had rooted in past to remove some of the Samsung bloatwares . I'd decided today to give this phone a chance again and done a factory reset but after resetting the phone boots in TWRP , instead of system . I tried to restore from backup but still it is failed to boot .I am getting an error when trying to do an advance wipe in TWRP ,which goes like this " E:/ unable to mount cache ". I had taken a nandroid backup in past and trying to restore from it , but its not working . please help.
Edit :- As of now I'd successfully reinstalled the TWRP with the help of Odin and able to do a restore from backup , But I am getting an error when trying to flash it with CM 12.01 nightly . Can someone please point out which is the right CM nightly for N9000 version .
Thank you
Hey,
i have TWRP installed and had the samsung galaxy s8 port running for about 1 year without problems. Since a couple of days it doesnt boot into the ROM anymore. So i went into TWRP and tried a restore of a backup. The backup process just freezes somewhere and i have to restart the phone. I also tried clean flashing a couple of ROMs but every installation is crashing.
TWRP has never crashed before so i'm guessing Hardware is broken?
Or is it possible that it ****ed up my partition table? it always crashes when trying to install or restore system partition. Also repairing the file system fails with error 4.
Any help is welcome, thx!
flash newest twrp again, partition, full wipe and install rom. of that doesnt help thsn flash stock with odin and go all the way to custom
I know this is the wrong form but sorry I can't write in the right form
I am using Redmi Note 7
So I was trying to install a custom ROM (corvus os v9.5)
Link to it : https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7/development/rom-corvus-8-5-t4153687
I took backup and chose everything to stay safe but now I can't recover the backup
I wiped dalvik/art cache, Cache, Data, System
In the beginning it said that it can't wipe system
So I wiped all data from my phone and copied the backup files back to my phone and tried to recover but it didn't work too and showed the same error then I tried to install the last version of TWRP to fix the problem but now it shows this error
"extractTarFork() process ended with signal: 9"
I didn't find any solution on the internet
Help please :crying:

Hey, did you find a solution to this? I have the same error ("extractTarFork() process ended with signal: 9").
I was trying to restore a backup of, I think, a correct stock version.
