there's finally there a solution root other of kingroot?
I rooted it with kingroot, unlocked the boot loader, flashed twrp and installed supersu.

hi people,
i am on firmware 800d20y, just bought the d800 today. i did the 'brute force' method, which initially worked, but after a short while, i lost root access. I literally have no idea what happened, the stump root app still says 'device is rooted', but the root checker app says i don't have root access. I tried a couple of different apps to check for root access, but to no avail.
any help, ANY at all to get root would help immensely! I'm trying to get a custom recovery (prob twrp) so i can flash a cm12 nightly rom...
im still a little new to this, any help would be appreciated!
You could try LGroot

no, it keeps asking to update the binary, which never works.

Try to flash supersu through recovery
Do you mean through a custom recovery, or the stock one? I'm only asking because I don't have a custom recovery yet. And if you mean through the stock recovery, I don't know how to do that :/

Root method wouldnt do it first but if you a kingroot user its for you since you cant get kingroot to root you straight out the app.

Hello,
I'm trying to root my phone, and I've used several tools which have proved unsuccessful, such as kingoroot.
Can you give me some other tools that might work?

Install custom recovery (TWRP) for your device and then flash superSU in it. Thats the safest and most effective way

Flashing latest Magisk is better for rooting the device because it has been reported that SuperSu slows down the device whereas Magisk has no such problem.

The word is "reported", not proved. I am rooting all my phones with superSU for 5 years and had no problems. Ever. I had problems with magisk like the app requesting root acces is not prompting and similar.
Well, google pay says I have a rooted phone with lineage on it that is why it wont work. First that is ridiculous, second how do I get this work.

If you have supersu or systems root you can try magisk which hides itself from safetynet

omg ok thanks
@LazyNoNos - You must get rid of supersu first
In TWRP
install unsu to get rid of Supersu https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...php?p=63615067
install Magisk
reboot
I have installed a custom recovery but I can't install superuser.

I rooted mine a few weeks ago too. I also had no luck with superuser so I used Magisk instead.

Yup. I think (can't remember now) I needed to reboot back into recovery again right after installing TWRP or it would overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery if I just tried to boot normally.
