Hi,
I bought a Samsung mobile but I'm really confused I don't know if it's a i9500 or a i9505. It's named GT-I9500 but its specifications seem to be those of a GT-i9505

The SGH-I337 is just one of the S4 models that differ only in the provider and the ROM they provide. The GT-I9505 is just the International version. But the 2 are same model

Sgh-i337 is not i9500, but it is a i9505 lte. The onky difference between i9505 and i337 is one of the work 4G (LTE) frequency band which works in ATTT instead most european carries.
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9505_galaxy_s4-5371.php
If it is 337 and has 4G lte, you should read i9505 and not i9500. I am also confused. What rear side under battery says? Have you alterate build.prop system file? Where did you buy it?

Since the motherboard z of I9505 u should considercit as I9505 & flash custom rom according to that only

A remote possibility is that last owner edited build.prop system file and changed the model name from i9505 to i9500 because any reason we don't know... can you send us a copy of this file? could you check if you can enter in download mode successfully (without flash anything, just enter)

Ok, if I am not wrong, in fact you have SGH-i337 (ATTT version, there is also a i337m for other different markets as Canada), very similar to i9505 LTE (it only diffieres in one of the 4G LTE bands), same processor, and same all.
Possibly if you have not LTE in your country/carrier, roms for i9505 would work (not really sure, but in any case i9500 ROM will NOT work for you), but if you want to install stock roms and updates for you phone, you can download it here:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SGH-I337&pcode=ATT#firmware
For all your issues, custom roms, etc, there are different forums for your device in XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att
About the odd issue of i9500 model instead i9505 or i337 in your device info, I am almost 90% sure that maybe old owner changed build.prop system file (as you told us it is rooted) and changed the device model from i337 to i9500. Why? Maybe he was not able to install some apps in google play because his model, and he tried to lie google play with a standar S4 model, but he made a mistake, he should have write i9505 instead of i9500 because it is more similar to his i337 than i9500 is.
Maybe you can post this "theory" at those S4 ATTT forums, and maybe someone can send you a build.prop file to see the exact model that should be written on that file instead "i9500" and change it by yourself using a mobile text editor..

So I am now even more confused... Sory, but I must ask you it: You are sure this is not a Chinese clon, right? You can be sure if you don't get enter to download mode (Pwr+Home+Vol down) or you have not IR port for TV/DVR/AC remote control apps...
Anyway, good decision (changing the phone)...
Hey all,
With my shiny new bronze China Unicom Z3 winging its way over to me as I type this, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for those of us who are picking up the China Unicom and Mobile variants. This will hopefully create a centralized place for people to share firmwares, root solutions, methods of installing GApps, recoveries and the like. Any useful files/ROMS/etc found by users, please post below!
Cheers :highfive:
congrats. how much did you got it for? and is the internal memory 16GB?
Aren't you guys missing gapps? It's about 4300 yuans. You guys have any idea when the Hong Kong version will be available?

Nice good to know, I figured out how much it is, too bad they don't ship it to main land China.
I paid 3888 yuan for it, which is about 380 GB or so. Finally arrived this morning! China Unicom, dual sim version - and the best part of it all is that it accepted the HK dual sim flash no problems! Thats the D6633 version of the firmware.
This means that I now have Google Play, Playstation app and all the rest of it, fully unlocked!
First impressions of the phone are great. I'm coming from the Z2, and it feels very different in the hand, but still familiar. Screen is gorgeous. I'll post further thoughts once I have played with it for a while.

So you don't have any radio issues? Cause I was thinking of getting it too.
So you got L55u and flashed D6633 firmware on it, amazing. Last time I remember it did not work with Xperia Z2. :highfive:
None at all.
The signal is actually better than my old Z2 - it works in my apartment building's elevator, which my HK Z2 didn't.
So far the phone is lightning fast, uber responsive, and has had no problem with either the Google Play Store, or the Playstation app. I'm in love.

I think the L55t is kinda unique since it is only for China Mobile and it uses only TD for 3G and 4G.
According to this post zhe D6633 is compatible to L55u (China Unicom) for sure:

Hi Guys, I have just purchased the L55t and I want to flash non Chinese firmware on it.
Has anyone managed to flash the L55t with firmware made for the D6603 model such as firmware version 23.0.A.2.98?
If not does anyone have any firmware that works on the L55t that they have tested?

Hi guys,
A few days ago my phone just turned off by itself in my pocket. I tried to turn it back on all day with no success. Changing the battery, connecting the charger did nothing. The phone was dead. Even when I connected the charger, the charging indicator light did not come on. On ebay, I found a logic board for this phone at a very cheap price and decided to try to replace it. My model is HLTE EU N9005. The logic board I ordered is from the N9006 HLTECHN. After replacement, the phone turns on normally and charges the battery. Unfortunately, the touchscreen does not work at all. Only the touch screen with the stylus works.
My question is:
Does the rest of the components have a problem with this logic board or is the screen just completely broken?
I flashed the phone with another rom it also gives nothing. The screen doesn't even work in TWRP. Only stylus support works.
Or is this logic board broken and screen good ?
What firmware ??
N9006 is China dual sim .

Thanks, but how would I know what is the right one? Is it Global, China, or EU? New one or oldest? Can I use SN or date of delivery or activation to connect it to the right one? Sorry for these questions, but in my life this is the only second Xiaomi in my hands, on the first one I had to install Pixel Experience to make it work, couldn't find proper ROM, too. I can't put Pixel on this one, can't put it in fastboot mode.
Please, if anyone knows how to choose the right fastboot rom for my device, I'm ready to pay over Paypal. Truly desperate...

Hi bro, it is indifferent, either the global or the Eu. just don't flash China. Unless you bought it from China.
Tried a few, China and EEA Global. Connected OK, download successed, but when I push a power button to turn it on, I can only hear sound of disconnecting from PC and black screen, again. Haven't tried Global rom for India, but that has no sense. Imported from China, bought in store in Croatia, EU. Xiaomi is a mess, a dude from support suggests me what to do when it turns on. Jeez...

Xiaomi support can't tell me what ROM was originally installed on my phone, even though I sent them it's IMEI number. Just a mess.
Is there any way to install a custom ROM, like Pixel Experience or similar, on this device, over QFIL software?

Your only hope is to get fastboot working and check the status of the bootloader, if it's unlocked flash any custom recovery via fastboot and boot to that recovery and flash any MODIFIED miui version, like Xiaomi.eu for RN7
Note that you can actually know your version of the device by Xiaomi official website, they tell you if it's Global or chinese. google that..
They say:
"Thank you for choosing Xiaomi!
However, the device you purchased is not an official global version and user experience may be affected. Next time, please purchase the official global version of the device through officially authorized channels."
What the heck does it mean? Not Global, but Chinese, bought in official store in Croatia, Europe? Why their support can't tell what is the original ROM by smartphone's SN or IMEI? They are tracking each device with ID, but essential things are not important, as it seems. Cheap junk, a guy in service just said: Dude, these sh.ts are all the same, I don't want to waste my time on it.
