After a firmware flash in ODIN, is the baseband supposed to be updated? The firmware file does contain the modem.bin and non-hlos.bin, but after booting into the ROM and checking About, the baseband remained the same. I know there's different changes in the new baseband so I'm not sure why it didn't flash. I tried flashing the firmware twice, the same thing. Everything works fine, just that the baseband isn't updated.
Would I have to extract the bin files and repackage them into a .tar.md5 file and flash it in ODIN with CP ticked? Seems like a 2 step process when the entire firmware should've been flashed with AP ticked.
Try to do unchecking "Auto Reboot" and reboot manually.

Hey guys,
I installed xtrestolite on my G900F and changed the bootloader and modem of my device before installing it. First problem i had was with CSC. It is a single CSC and i couldn't install my countries CSC on it. That's why i went back to stock. I installed Kit Kat firmware that i downloaded from sammobile and then changed CSC to my countries CSC. Then i updated firmware to lollipop using Kies3. But installing stock rom didn't change bootloader version or modem version. Now i have kitkat bootloader version, kitkat baseband version and lollipop firmware version all different and i want to them all to be the same(latest lollipop). Is there any way to do this without downloading stock rom from sammobile again ? And if not, then can i just put the tar.md5 file that i will download from sammobile in bootloader, pda and CP at the same time and install with odin ?
Thanks in advance !
You do not need to re-download or re-install your ROM. You need to download your bootloader and radio from somewhere, then flash those with ODIN.
Just an FYI, the modem doesn't always like to stick so you may need to flash (auto-reboot disabled), pull the battery after odin says "success", then flash again immediately.

Hey thanks for the tip ! I just downloaded stock firmware but i don't know how to extract bootloader and modem from tar.md5 file and then make them odin flashable. I uploaded image with all the files that are in my tar.md5 file. What of these are for bootloader and what for modem and how do i make them odin flashable later ?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
i am trying to fix software on my note3 but i have problems finding the right files.
There is Bootloader, PDA, CSC and Baseband but i don't know how to upgrade it to the correct versions.
For example i found Version OK9 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/direct-download-bootloaders-modems-t3258803
But there is no file to update PDA, CSC and Baseband?
I installed the KERNEL file and it changed the Kernel. Did not try RECOVERY yet because i think it could overwrite the Custom Recovery TWRP that is installed now.
In older post i also found some "CP" files for OJ6 and OK6 and they installed new version for PDA but i can not find them for OK9?
Can anybody please explain the different files and how to find the right versions?
I downloaded two files to update bootloader and PDA to OK6 but i can only update the Bootloader but PDA Version does not change.
CP_N9005_OK6.tar.md5
BL_N9005_OK6.tar.md5
The first file is supposed to update the PDA or not?
CP is modem/baseband and it does not update PDA. AP is PDA. You can find complete firmwares from http://www.sammobile.com/. These packages contains all parts together and you can find installation instructions for example from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdDgaqsYrRs.

Ah i see, thx for your help!
Hm so maybe it could be a good idea to install a untouched Stock Rom first and then go to modified image?
I have now installed N9005XXUGBOK6_N9005DBTGBOI1_DBT Stock Image with Odin.
When i want to go back to this image: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-lp-tw-rom-t3027148 is it enought to just install it or do i need to wipe anything before?
I don't want all the samsung adware...
Oh it even killed the philz touch recovery...

how to flash only this PDA/AP & Bootloader via odin?
BL ver : A515FXXU3BTI2
AP Ver : A515FXXU3BTI2
Neither of those are for Note 3 based upon what you have posted .
BL in bl section AP in ap section on Odin .
I flashed latest arabian firmware today and odin gave me error while flashing hidden.img, then phone brick, I unbricked it flashing only ap file and phone boot, but why that error?
Use a newer version of Odin, like 3.12. Older versions cause this error because of a new file structure in the firmwares.

I used 3.12 no errors until now
G935F ODIN3 Hidden Fail
Used ODIN 3_11 to install the Sammobile BTU image (DLPT, v7.0 Jan 17). No problem.
Now a month or two later, I repeated to process to install the latest DQCG image (G935F EE image for UK, v7.0, March 17). I also downloaded the latest ODIN 3_12. It advised selecting the HOME_CSC image (in the download there was also a CSC image... without the HOME). The install failed due to a "HIDDEN.img" fail.
Various forums suggest opening the .md5 archive with Winrar to edit the Hidden.img. I ignored this and simply repeated the ODIN task, but this time selecting the slightly smaller CSC image. This worked perfectly.
I''m uncertain why there are two CSC images in the Sammobile archive?
As a side concern, when the initial install failed, I received a message saying use the PC Smart Switch app to run the emergency firmware recovery tool. I did try this but got nowhere the tool just blinked at me (possible driver missing?).

After you flashed the ee firmware have you got volte enabled?
Samsung Bootloader does not allow to downgrade the ROM, Therefore I found a way to Downgrade Specially from Nougat to Marshmallow and Solution to SW REV. Check Fail.
Required:
1. Marshmallow or which you need Odin Firmware (Can be downloaded from Sammobile) for your Mobile.
2. 7zip installed.
3. WinRar installed (if 7Zip Shows error while Extracting the .tar file of firmware). I recommend this for extracting the tar file.
Steps:
1. Rename the Firmware from .tar.md5 to .tar so that WinRar can open it.
2. Extract the Firmware files except sboot.bin, cm.bin and modem.bin .
3. Now compress the extracted files to tar archive using 7Zip.
4. Done, Firmware is ready to flash through Odin.
cm.bin and sboot.bin causes to SW Rev check fail so If you face this error remove them from firmware.
If you like please hit Thanks button.
Hello, So basically we need to remove all .bin files? ok
I also need to downgrade my modem.bin because I'm facing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues (they don't turn on). So is it possible to flash those files separately after? Will it work?

Yes
I do have problems - Wifi and BT can't be enabled. So I want to reflash Stock Rom.
In the manual at sammobile.com is mentioned to flash 4 partitions, AP, BL, CP, CSC - but in the download zip file there is no CP file (Modem/Radio).
I assume a reflash of CP might useful to recover Wifi/BT. How to get this file? Anything else I can do?
In the stock firmware there should be 4 files. I have this tab and have flashed OS without any problem. While downloading the firmware pls, Check the region and build number.
