S6 and S6 Edge should get Marshmallow in Jan 2016. Note 5 and S6 Edge+ will get update to newest Android OS this year, in December.
Note 4 and Note Edge ali month after S6, in February.
S5 and Alpha will probably get Marshmallow in March or even later.
Also it's nice to see Galaxy A and Galaxy E series getting Marshmallow but I would be even more happy if everyone got MM. My 3 years old Lumia 920 and cheapest Lumia 520 can run newest Windows 10 Mobile build officially so this is sad.

Damn we need this update very fast... The battery life for this device is very poor and doze might rev this up...

It is supposed to already have it but it doesnt work and i have been extremely exited for marshmallow but samsung needs to make me wait. If they push any further im going to go insane.

All of Samsung developers are most likely working on the s7 firmware and tizen.

LG did a good job again, they have released Marsmallow before all companies.

Seriously is that what you think. Wow you must have inside scoop. Rather wait and for them to get it right rather than download a rushed update and screw up my phone

Idk if that is sarcasm. But I don't have the inside scoop. The S7 is being pushed to release earlier next year so they are probably working hard on software features since the phone will probably be the same form factor. Tizen has made improvements. If Samsung wanted to they can dedicate all their mobile division man power to work on the Samsung flagship updates but they are constantly working on newer devices, os, and more. Samsung seems to release a device every 3 weeks.
Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk

first of all. the eta you can find on the web, is only rumers, samsung have not told anybody about an eta, or put anything out on it, as always there is only one person from samsung that know when.
2. to say that all from samsung is working on the new flagship, is like saying that all of apple is working on a car, so there wont be any new devices or updates.
3. there is no company that ar releasing a new phone every 3 weekes, the rotate it so it will look like it, alot of the samsung phones the stats ar getting now, have been on the market for 6 mounth en EU, and the other way around

it is going to take more still
that is too much trust in the blogs

Screw that lmao.
I'm getting AOSP

Wuuuaaaa. Is sorpres

Vibrant 4g first impressions

Not sure if this should be posted here but I got a look at the vibrant 4g yesterday and it is pretty sexy. With minor changes like ffc and new back the phone doesnt look different but feels different some how. I took some basic pix of it nothing too much. Scored a 990 on quadrant. Ffc is not bad at all and rear camera has no banding issue like vibrant so this might be helpful for us vibrant owners. Please don't get mad at me for posting this in just sharing some of my experience.

I would also be curious what your opinion is of the GPS ? And how is the call quality ? Any dropped calls ?
Not to be rude, but seems the U.S. carriers getting the shaft from Samsung. Why is T-Mobile just now releasing the Galaxy S-1 w/4G, which is based on last Summers technology, but Europe will get the brand new next generation Galaxy-S-2 beginning of next month. WTF Are we U.S. customers going have to wait until Summer for the Galaxy-S-2 to show up here ? And Europe will get it 4 - 5 months ahead of us ?

Europe has always gotten phones much much earlier than the US, nothing new here. That's why you get a whole year warranty (vs 3-4 months) for example. Also take a lot longer to get FCC approval than most European markets
Wont be able to tell you guys about gps n calls til next week (launch date) the phone I had was a live demo didn't even have inception movie on it yet. Samsung is having an event next week hopefully I get picked to go so ill have more info.

I doubt it that Samsung will release the updates for our tablet even it is confirmed.

Just got it recently on my Note 3. Not all its cracked up to be. Many are regretting the update and no way to revert. Say goodbye to your battery monitor apps.
Maybe it's just me, but I bought the N8000 because it was incredibly useful to me, and just because a newer Android version exists now does not mean my N8000 becomes anything less useful.

Korean Note3/S4A(S800 variant) are getting bugfix and stabilize update like every 3 days or so, at least 10 updates after 4.4.2 release. Since AT&T does not like minor inclined maintenance updates, they will probably wait until it get settled and push all it once later.
To be honest I kind of like having the new software and having updates pushed frequently for example ios but if it fixes the bug and makes it more stable then I'm fine with that
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
So a CSR reading off a script or making things up says "The update was faulty, so they pushed it back to get it all fixed that way it didn't ruin the phones" qualifies as AT&T's genuine progress statement on 4.4 to you guys? We're a couple of weeks behind the other U.S. carriers and Rogers which means nothing may be wrong and the wheels of progress at AT&T are just slow(er). Some of us have been using the leak for two months and it didn't "ruin our phones" so you'd have to imagine the final build can't be worse than the leak. Of all the customer-facing priorities AT&T faces I'm sure getting the N3, a single device out of dozens they sell, updated to 4.4 isn't one of the most pressing. Especially because their average customer could probably care less.
Wow thanks for the info because I've been looking all over the Internet for something and no one has said a word about this "faulty update". You've been a huge help. Thank you!

Well I was getting spammed by her so I decided to end and close the chat and I copied and paste it to a notepad and deleted everything to only see the important part that was told. Maybe the leak was good but they started adding other material which made it faulty lol.

Why do Samsung usually choose Poland?

I noticed a trend that Samsung keeps following in recent years.
Every time there is a major os upgrade, they first release it in Poland, while keep releasing updates for older version in all other markets.
Example:

}
From personal experience, those first releases (from Poland) tend to be pretty buggy.
Seems like they are beta testing RC (release candidate) versions in Poland first, before offering them to the rest of the world.
Any thoughts?
Yes... I do agree with you... after some time other receive updated software and Poland also... it is the same for all other Samsung phones... why? Maybe they have SW department in Poland?

Because potato-based vodka is so good. It's like you're in the eye of a hurricane. It'll get you some drunk out of nowhere.
All due seriousness: Samsung's R&D team there also has "direct presence" with the major cellular provider there. The OTAs are more easily released. I'd also wager there is some regulatory stuff there to give it more incentive.

However, I must say that the Poland 6.0.1 firmware is pretty close to perfect. No problems here.

It is true but OPO production is still on it last batch in limited quantity and i think it will be officially over before OP3 is launched in june....
What do you expect... A phone that's 2 years old, already 2 newer models and a 3th one in the near future.
Which doesnt mean I love this phone. I hope the OP3 is a pimped OPO. Bit more ram, fingerprint and dualism pls ?
They cant even get the bugs worked out of the 2 and the X and now they are decommissioning their only "flagship" phone. They had better make sure the 3 is way above and beyond that of the 1 or I see a dismal future for OP.

It's hard to call the OPO "their only 'flagship' phone" when it was superseded by the OP2 last year. Regarding the new device being "way above and beyond that of the 1" I don't think any manufacturer has released any device that's "way above and beyond" their flagships from 2 years ago, which is why flagship handset sales in the developed world have been relatively stagnant for the last year. There just hasn't a compelling reason to upgrade, because devices haven't improved that much over previous models the last couple of years.
