Many may have seen it already, but those who didn't will love it =)
This is a short movie made in 5 parts by Google, they show how they designed and manufactured the Nexus One.

I LOVE MY NEXUS!!!!!!

man i love this phone. its design is close to perfect IMO. this one is a keeper ever long after it is obsolete, simply because its a rare smartphone, is from google, and will be a nice little web tablet to keep around for nostalgia. its going in my permanent collection.
most phones i buy then sell after a few months and move onto the next thing, and i recoup about 50% to 75% of my money and use that to buy the next phone.

I remember seeing those videos when I was eagerly waiting the launch nexus. I think i watched those videos 1,000,000 times and just watched them all again!!

That could easily be 2.1, the development emulator that runs 2.1 looks exactly like that.

PLEASE let this alleged hardware issue be the addition of a trackball/trackpad and a better casing than cheap plastic that gizmodo reported.
Let this be a standalone phone and not a Galaxy S with Stock Android.

Google needs some damn designers...lol. People with vision...the Nexus S/2 should looked like the HTC ONE concept some design student mocked up...with a few additions for usability.

You guys know Google doesnt' actually design phones right?
They basically call up sony/htc/apple/samsung and ask what new platforms/devices they have coming up. The respective companies show them a line up, google bids on them, and then they tweak it slightly (color/finish/very minor hw changes).

Cool, so rumour was true I hope it will be released soon...

I really hope it lives up to the nexus name. Not just a galaxy-S running stock android with an unlockable bootloader...

yay! coming soon with Gingerbread. 4 inch screen with trackball please.

My dear SGS2 is being repaired for a broken micro-usb port...meanwhile, my Phone provider has been kind enough to lend me another SGS2!

Yeah, I agree. Please release CM9/ICS after the 7th of January, because till Thursday Im super busy with some projects for school, and then I leave on vacation to see my girlfriend again \0/ And she doesn't allow me anymore to "hack my phone" while im with her. Last time I ****ed it up and spend 2 days on XDA trying to fix it instead of giving her attention lolol

Seems kind of fishy, considering there are only 23k fans of the page. With 2 million phone sales you'd think there would be more. But then again, big companies like to take down unathorized FB pages that could do the brand damage. Seems like a weird way to spill the beans though

Yes, but announcing the next version of a product a few months after the first version has been released will destroy the first version's sales... It's like Apple releasing the iphone 4s, then 2 months later revealing the iphone5 with much better specs. Who is going to want to get locked into a contract when they know the bigger and better is coming out a year later?

FAKE for sure. The graphics are terrible; they've been copied from the web somewhere in low res, probably converted to jpg and modified. Look at the white space around the pics; it's full of pixelated artifacts. Total amateur fake.

our device will get 4.2 before 2014, if we are lucky, knowing samsungs update policy, 4.3 never

the s3 mini will end ( just like the s2) with android 4.2.2 Samsung is still testing but we will get it the around end of this year

One of the reasons my next phone will most likely be a Nexus. Hate the lack of support or slow support from manufactures...

the one thing that puts me off of a nexus device the screen size
the next thing that puts me off is the method to unlock and root the device
