[Q]Compatibility of european screen - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Whats' up, guys?
So I looks like this: my brother got new phone (yes, you guessed it LG G2 ;D ) and after about 2 weeks he broke the screen. But it turned out that version we have is not European D802/D800 but Korean (I think so) F302.
Because of that in every serve that we asked for help we've been told that screen for european models might not be compatible. So I'm asking you guys. Does somebody know if the screen have any differences?
I'm posting HERE some photos of screen so maybe someone that have original screen would be able to tell.

qtek 9100 Production date?

Hello folks!
this is my first post here, altough i've been reading and learning stuff from here for a few months already. Good stuff that can be found here! I bought a refurbished 9100 from qtek g3 model, 3 months ago in ebay; the problem was that it fell down to the floor once (1meter fall) and since that day i have severe GSM network problems on the food. Almost no network on the mobile. 99% of the times i try to do a network search.
So i have my eyes on a phone that is for sale, also used. The fella says that the screen is broken, and that that is the only problem with the phone. All else worked fine. I asked him if he knew if the phone was a G3 or G4 model, (since i have a g3 and wanted to mix both into one phone to get a perfect one) but he doesn't knows.
He was able to tell me though that he bought the phone from Vodafone in March 2007. And my question is: is there any way to know, by manufacturing date or any other way (imei?) if the phone is a g3 or g4 model?
AFAIK theres no problem in mixing G3 with G4 parts, but am i wrong?
Thanking in advance who ever reads my post and replies.
BTW: everthing else works perfect on my WIZ excluding the network, and i had it CID unlocked and installed Win mobile 6.0.. sweet! i was in symbian for 4 years with a siemens sx1 before, and i must say i definitely love windows mobile! simply awesome browsing the web through wifi (for free!) and then still connected on MSN open up Age of Empires Gold edition and enjoy such fine graphics on a mobile!
Hello brother...and may I commend you on making an excelent first post! PLENTY of info for us to help you! But to the point, you are correct, there is no problem in mixing G4 parts with G3 and vice versa. The only difference between G4/G3 phones and the different brandings are simply the DOC chips on the boards themselves(that what makes them a G4/G3), and the branding on the casing. The innards are identical. So I hope that helps!
thanks for the reply!
but what about the other question i made? can you help in any way?

LG G2 Screen replacement doubt

Hi guys, I need to know one thing about the screens replacement for LG G2, I've been watching a lot, I found this replacement from UK but the description says it is not compatible with version 4.4 (KITKAT?), I asked and say their engineers say it is not supported.
So if anyone wanted to consult you you know what the problem is, and if you know of any screen replacement that does not have this problem.
Thanks in advance, as I need to fix the phone because I'm out of line.

[Q] Hello, I'm a new owner of LG G2 D802 from ebay and..

First of all, I'm really sorry fot posting probably such a stupid question, but searching through the forum for more then hour and search engine didn't help at all.
Couple of weeks ago, I found relatively cheap fully working LG G2 D802 16GB , but with few cracks on the glass.Seller was from Lithuania and I'm from Croatia, and after doing a math, less then 100€ with glass changing seemed a fair price so I bid and won it at 57 GBP.Changing the glass costed me less then 20GBP more, so it really is a good price, right?
And then I started to discovering differences(improvements in everything from speed to battery life) compared to my old HTC One X and so I found the app called "Smart World", where I could download some LG themes and LG only stuff(it's my assumption), but it asks me an ID and password,or old ID and old email which was probably used when the phone was brand new.
So my question would be if there is some kind of workaround so I can register my self at Smart World app and use those "benefits"?
Is it posible that I can reset old registration and make a new one or I can forget about it?I know I'm not loosing too much, and I'm aware that I can get most of those things from other places, but I would like it to be, you know, as it should.
I only have to add that all I got with a phone was a charger and USB cable. And a plastic x-line cover for it, so I don't have any manuals or howtos.
Thanks in advance,
Drazen

Need help updating a device that has been physically modified (fixed a broken screen)

Hey guys, I haven't been on XDA for years but I'm really in the need of some help... I wounder if you guys have some solutions!
I used to have a Sony SP, the thing broke and I decided to look for a replacement. Buying a new phone wasn't in my budget so I went and looked for a Samsung S4 that had a broken screen, bought the replacement OLED (I think it's an oled display), and took it to a technician to repair it. It was a good buy but little did I know that fixing the hardware on the device will disable my ability to update it! I've wanted to stay stock and not flashing any ROMs on it because I just want a phone that works. I don't want the hassle of having to worry about the latest firmware, and flashing new kernels, I just want a laid back experience. My phone was already rooted when I got it, in fact I had the SuperSU app already installed (which I thought was pretty weird but I didn't think much of it), everything else is stock. Is there any options so that I can update my device that don't require any flashing on my PC?
I have another phone with the same issue, my mothers Samsung S3. Full story, I live in Venezuela and smartphones here are extremely expensive, so obviously if something happens to them you much rather repair it then buying a new one because it's unthinkable to afford one, besides a Samsung S3 is still a good device. So one day the phones screen starts fading black, and it stops accepting touch input, we had to replace the digitizer (Touch Screen), and it functioned like normal! Problem is we needed to restore the device because it was getting a bit bogged down, low and behold, same issue as my Samsung S4. Now I can live without having my firmware updates, but I'd really like to at least help my mom get hers sorted out!
I want to thank everyone who took the time to read this, and that can help me fix my devices!
The reason you can't update your S4 is because you're rooted.
As for the S3, maybe there aren't any updates available.
Samsung stopped updating the S4 like two years ago at Android 5.0 and I don't think the S3 ever got Lollipop.
I'm also pretty sure that replacing a screen won't magically prevent your phone from receiving updates; The restore may have caused that.
