how do you know for sure its not recognizing it in bootloader?
When I plug in my nexus I can't do anything. The hardware buttons don't work. I don't see anything in the drivers when I plug it in either.

Well, just to let you know, you haven't bricked it. Bricking something means you can't access the device what so ever i.e. it won't boot, won't go into recovery/bootloader mode etc. As to fixing it, I'm not sure. Can the device turn off and on? Have you got drivers installed properly (was fastboot and adb working before this happened)?

I am sure you tried every option , have you tried adb reboot recovery command, when u turn on phone, or adb reboot bootloader. If the manual way does not work, for example when device is powered off (volume down then holding power for 10 seconds). Let me know. Need more details.

Ok I'm trying that now.

Hi I think I'm facing the same issue as poliati. I tried to flash it back to stock image but the process freezes at "sending 'system' <438656kb>. Can someone please help?

So rebooting isnt the problem but getting into recovery or even getting my computer to recognize my device is what i need help with. The entire thing freezes when im in bootloader and try to plug into my computer. So i have to reset by holding down the power button. Ive installed and uninstalled drivers through wugfresh toolkit and nexus 7 toolkit.

That doesnt work either. The thing is, I can use the volume buttons BEFORE I plug it in, but as soon as I plug it into a computer the tablet freezes and i have to reset it.
So ive uninstalled all drivers including the SDK and reinstalled everything and im still stuck at the bootloader. Im starting to believe that its pretty much a lost cause. Can anyone help with trying to figure out what i may have to do now.
If you can get into the bootloader, you're not bricked, nor is it a lost cause.
Since you uninstalled them reinstall the drivers. Download the factory image (nakasi) from here, and then follow these instructions to use cmd and fastboot to reflash the stock ROM.
Ok I will try this.
Freakin love this site!!!
OK, so i now have everything up and running after about 2 hours of uninstalling and installing everything. Turns out that my cpu (or me) was duplicating the drivers. I feel dumb for that

[Q]Brick ?

Hey , i havent touched my N7 forquit a while .. today i tryed to turn it on and found out it is out off power soi plugged it into my charger but when i tried to turn it up i passed the google logo and was stuck at the blackbean logo (when its connected to the charger it show the charging ani but turns off after 5 sec then i need to click the power bottom to see the charging ani again) and when i try to get into fastboot i cant . it just shows me the place where i can select between "start" , "recovery" and "fastboot" but it get stuc on that screen . i cant move anything or just hit "start" cuz it doesnt work either .
So am i bricked ? what can i do ?
i dont understand how that happened since i didnt touch it all week long .. (oh yea and the battery never charges it stays forever on the lowest point of the ani)
Leave it charge for a while without messing with it.
secondly it is not bricked, if it turns on any bit and if it shows anything on the screen it is not bricked.
I don't know why people keep using that word incorrectly, brick means that your device is basically a brick, a paperweight.
And that screen that says recovery etc IS where you fastboot from, that's the bootloader screen.

If you get to the menu that says "recovery" "start" "reboot bootloader" then you are in fastboot mode/bootloader.
Leave it charge a while and see if it works and if not you can flash a factory image or better yet, reflash your recovery and flash a ROM zip

What error do you get when you try flash something by fastboot?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
When you are 'stuck' in fastboot, you have a couple ways to go about it... one option and that is to run the N7 toolkit to get the N7 into recovery. From there you can restore your stuff, drop stuff onto your N7 to flash a new rom, etc...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809195
Basically you run the toolkit like you are going to root it. Then when you get past installing the USB drivers and such, IIRC there was an option to get into recovery.
Ughh, toolkits.

Sounds like you need to fastboot the factory image to the device. Try multiple versions of fastboot. People have been reporting problems and switching to a new version of fastboot has helped.

Try a new version of fastboot... possibly from one of the rootkits then follow these instructions....

Sounds like you're in fastboot mode and the above should work. Possibly make a YouTube video to show us the problems.

[Q] Nexus 7 stuck at locked fastboot

After a failed attempt to install the 4.3 update with the NRT, my N7 is stuck in a locked fastboot mode. Every time press start it says booting failed.
is there a way to fix this? or am i doomed?
The guide for returning it to a stock image requires an unlocked fastboot mode...
Sounds like you'll have to unlock and flash again.

well the device has usb debuging turned off...
is there a way to turn it back on from the fastboot mode?
Fastboot doesn't need USB debugging. USB debugging has nothing to do with custom recovery or fast boot.

If you made a backup before, then start your device into boot loader Volume Up+Volume Down+Power button. Then go to recovery and recover your boot status. In case if you forgot to make a backup, then you should do at least one for your systems apps and then do a fresh install over again and restore system configuration afterwards.

If you had made nvflash blobs before your unfortunate fastbootery, then you should be able to restore the bootloader and partitioning. Otherwise you might be able to get a few $$$ on eBay if the screen is in good condition.

Not only, ... erasing the bootloader is no problem as long as you do not reboot. Flashing a new bootloader before rebooting would have solved the situation.

If you've rebooted, it doesn't sound like there's any fix.
But I'm going off other comments. I'm no expert.

[H] Hard brick !!!!

Hello I have a Hard brick, how do I get out of this?
I connect it to the computer appears to me that your computer is trying to install a driver "qhsusb_dload"
my phone : SGH-I337 UD
That's not a good sign. Does the device turn on at all? You're probably going to have to look at jtag. Google mobiletechvideos.com
