Does anyone else use this app on the Nexus 6P? If so, are you able to join meetings or make calls with it? I can IM but that's it. I get disconnected immediately on all audio calls or meetings with audio.
The app works on a Nexus 7 2013 with Marshmallow though so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Yes they work, I just made a test call again just to make sure it still works I am on a Corporate Lync account.
Me too, hmm very strange.
Try to connect thru LTE, It should give you a call back and see if that works for you.
I'm having the same issue with the Nexus 6P over both LTE and WiFi. Calls I try to initiate and connections to meetings connect and then instantly end. It's not a strict failure, it shows connected, disconnected.
I did not have this issue with the Galaxy S5. When I use the old phone with WiFi it does not show this issue.
I was curious how you conducted the test calls. The Windows client has a check button, but I can't find anything like that in the app.
What did you mean by "it should call you back"?

The behavior, that I have seen with Lync is that if I make a call over Wifi. It calls the number directly. If I make the call on LTE, I get a call back from my lync phone number, on my cell phone.
Can you check to make sure, you added your Mobile number to your lync account? Here are my settings to make this work.

I've definitely added my phone number, there is no hint that it's trying to call me on that number if I join a meeting. My behavior on both LTE and Wi-Fi is identical, connected followed by immediate disconnect. The only setting that's different is the notification icon setting.
EDIT: It looks like you have a different version of the app. You're missing two of the settings on your setting screen. I'm using version 5.6.3.15
It was updated to Skype for Business and STILL does not work. What a piece of crap.

50% mobile data use in 6 days. I have in on wifi for 6 days! I run stock root (and roque1.4.1 since yesterday). Washtenaw the heck could that be. I been trying to find the app doing the damage but unable so far. Oh this is a 4g zoom. Are there any apps out there that will monitor mobile data use by app's. Mobile data use through the roof in batt. use also.

how in the world do you have unlimited on a 4g xoom?
50% Data
I think he swapped a 4G SIM card from his Thunderbolt, on which he has the unlimited plan. I've got the Unlimited plan...and I'm grandfathered in. I've wondered if I should try swapping the SIM, but that basically disables my phone and I need that 24/7.
ding ding ding. I don't miss any calls though. I have my cell forwarded to my gvoice number and answer them with groove ip and my wired headset with mic. You're stuck though if you need calls to go out from your cell number.
Hey wess, I have been trying to do the same thing forwarding calls to my Xoom. Groove ip is set up as well as google voice and I set the proper number to be forwarded to but I can't seem to get the calls to arrive at my Xoom. When people try to call me it just goes straight to voicemail saying "the google voice subscriber you are calling is not available" any tips or advice on this or did yours work first try with no hiccups?

Have you gone into your Gvoice settings and forwarded your calls to Google Chat?
Interesting, no I hadn't tried that, thanks for the tip man will give that a go, I love the idea though....the new data plans are so expensive and I can't justify spending more money when I technically should have unlimited mobile internet with me anyways.

Stop, just stop. I am SICK and tired of seeing these posts. We are talking about WiFi calling on T-Mobile. EVERY single thread that talks about it has the "HANGOUTS IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!!" It is not constructive to the conversation. We know about hangouts. We use hangouts BUT WE NEED WIFI CALLING. We have our own reasons. Just STOP.
@Topgun966 I'm new to T-Mobile and N6 is, obviously, the first device I've used on their network ... In regards to WiFi calling, I assume when you place a call via WiFi the party on the other end sees your regular # displayed? (sorry for the off topic question OP)

If you want WiFi calling, I suggest using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.hangoutsdialer
Hmmm... Well, when T-Mobile gets Wi-Fi Calling in, a lot might not notice. It uses the same dialer, no difference.
Really the only way to tell is that you get a notification that w/c is active and you see your phone radio disabled. Functionally, it's exactly the same as normal dialing.

I have used wifi calling all the way back to when it called UMA/blackberry days
Yes, the other end sees it as a normal call. In fact it appears as normal call on both ends. The only difference is that works even buried deep in a building as long as you have a wifi connection. No cell connection needed. Texting and everything just work as if you had cell signal.

Exactly. Your phone works just like a normal phone for texts/calls/mms but data is transferred over wifi. So when you traveling to places outside of T-mos network or traveling internationally, it acts just the same. For someone like me that travels quite often, I need it. My GV number is just for professional and spam calls. No one in my personal life has that number, as the way I want it. When I am overseas, or in a place with no coverage, I have to use my iPhone 6 for the wifi calling and I am telling you, that is annoying.
basically Hangouts IS wifi calling. Who cares, as long as you can make the damn call. It does work great, use it on my computer and tablets all the time with no carrier subscription. get a Google number folks
When I place a call I get a popup saying:
"Call remain in cellular network. Voice and data charges will apply."
Does anyone know what this is?
I have the AT&T S7 on Cricket.
I only get this when I have WiFi on, so I was thinking something to do with WiFi calling, however I do not think that AT&T even have WiFi calling for the S7 and if they do I have no idea how to turn it off.

Yes I get it on every call. Same as you, I'm using AT&T s7 edge on cricket. I'm curious what it is also.
Same thing is happening on my wife's Galaxy S7 (not edge) on Cricket. But it isn't happening on my Galaxy S7 (also on Cricket).
Do you have wifi calling enabled? Maybe this is letting you know it is not using wifi for the call. Just a guess

I think it's this enhanced lte services, but I'm not sure, I'll test out in a sec
Edit::
Nvm, that's not it either. Turned it off and still saying it
I'm not in the US myself so I don't know much about AT&T. However, after some research the best I can find is with AT&T Dual-Mode Mobile Voice. Is it possible this could be the cause of this message?

So essentially Wi-Fi calling. I know they enabled it for iPhone last year. Possible maybe they are doing testing with the s7/s7 edge
If it is WiFi calling I just want to know how to turn it off.
This popup is annoying and in the way of the buttons.
I get the same thing when placing a call on my s7 AT&T
I have both the S7 and the S7 Edge and get the notification whenever I place a call on either of them while I have WiFi on.
did anyone figure this out .. have the same issue .. def gets in the way
I'm talking to Samsung right now. I'll post if I figure it out.
This is the response I got from Samsung.
It only happens to me when wifi is on but very weak. Probably a holdover from the wifi calling routine that doesn't get disabled when wifi calling is off.
The year is 2017. I see threads going back to 2015 about this issue, but no one's seemed to solve the problem. There's a Verizon Messages+ app for iOS, Android and Desktop PC's that allow you to forward or 'sync' text messages of a Verizon line to another device. I say 'line' because it works flawlessly on the Desktop PC app and Android tablet (which neither were purchased or has anything to do with Verizon).
Here's my scenario:
Phone 1: iPhone 6S 32GB (Verizon work phone) - has 4GB data allowance
Phone 2: GINORMOUS T-Mobile V20 (Personal phone) - unlimited data
Having both phones and a wallet in one pocket is absurd. T-Mobile's 'DIGITS' app is failing - at best. I can't get it to stay active more then 10 minutes. Therefore my goal here is to *73 and forward my Verizon calls to my personal T-Mo phone and just block caller ID on outgoing calls because I don't know how to spoof caller ID into showing another number (my Verizon work line), THEN use this famed 'Messages+' app on my T-Mobile phone since all my co-workers seem to want to text more than make phone calls. Before you say anything, I had Google Voice for YEARS and was a huge talker about it - but it failed me so many times, and making calls on an iOS device never shows the correct number on caller ID when calling out. It was extremely awkward. Also, if you're in a bad service area and GV can't make an Internet connection to initiate the call, you're screwed.
If I download the Messages+ app for desktop to my laptop, it works damn good. No lag, it's instant and has lots of features! But, if I install it on my T-mo personal phone and try to 'activate' or whatever it wants, it just sits there looking at me funny. THIS IS SO IRRITATING. I CAN NOT BE the only one with the situation of dealing with two phones. I'm out of the office 75% of the time traveling going from airport to airport and can't miss calls or texts.
Does ANYONE have any kind of input on how I can resolve this issue? I'm at the point now to where I'm just going to cancel my T-mo personal account and have people call me at home like they did in the 90's. Does Verizon really think I want to do this? Why would this app work flawlessly on a desktop, but not an Android phone? Isn't the Internet the Internet? I don't want to sync anything, I just want to RECEIVE and SEND text messages.
What gives? I am SO FRUSTRATED over this.
vzw user here with 3 phones and user of message+(great app) the trick for me i've noticed is you MUST have a verizon sim installed for the app to properly "start service" then you can remove sim after. If it's a non cellular device, like samsung tab-s no sim needed, but once the app realizes it's a cellular device, you need a sim. The sim can be removed AFTER the service starts and as long as you regularly use the app on the phone after it 's activated you're good, but if you stop for like a few days, it knows and deactivates the service.
hope that helps

I appreciate the response, but that didn't work for me. I have a G5 plus unlocked and I installed the messages+ app and it worked perfect with the Verizon sim. Then I turned the phone off, stuck the T-Mo sim in, powered on and loaded up that app. As soon as it opened an error came up that said "MDN SETTINGS CHANGED. APPLICATION RESETTING!" and brought me back to the first screen you see with the app.
I really think I'm doomed. This is so unfortunate.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize you were putting the tmo sim back in, ans as soon as the app sees that sim it deactivates, sucks that VZW makes it that way, as my wifi tablet just works, unless you could trick the messages + app to thinking it's not installed on a phone, but thats beyond my skill set
Yeah, I thought about that, but it's over my head too. That app works great on my tablet too. Ahh well, maybe someone will see this blog and have a miracle answer! Tha J's for trying though!
I use the Verizon Messages + app as my main SMS (w/ MetroPCS service /tmobile) since it has a lot of features I like plus works really well with Android Wear 2.0 ...
I do know it does take a little time to get past the "starting messages screen" (maybe 1 min or so)... but so far the only issue i've seen is that occasionally i will receive duplicate sms messages in a group chat... not sure how to fix it..
thought i'd give you an update.. but now i've had issues with the app deleting / removing conversations from my list.. at first i thought it was related to accidently hitting delete on my watch.. but the second time it happened i know it wasn't me directly.. so i have deleted the app.. back to Textra for me...

Decided to go to Canada for the weekend. Seems I randomly lose service, and need to reboot to get a signal again. Everything under Phone Info appears fine, and says I'm not roaming. Anyone else had this issue?
I'm in Verizon in Washington state and my phone has started doing the same thing today. Happed 5 or 6 times today while using YouTube, YouTube TV, Amazon app, and chrome. I was using 1.1.1.1 DNS will change that to see if it makes a difference. Has your problem continued?

I've had the same issues periodically. swapping sim slots has worked for me. give it a shot.
So it turns out my VZW plan was so old, it wasn't giving me the option to roam on other networks (travel pass).
I recently went to Germany and had the issue of having service, but sometimes no data. There's an option that sometimes appears when roaming called Network Operators under Settings > Wi-Fi & internet > Sim & Network > SIM 1 (or SIM 2) that'll manually let you choose which network to connect to. I'm my case my phone automatically connected to "o2 -de" network, and I had to manually choose "telekom.de" network to get calls and data. Unfortunately, I didn't take screenshots while abroad, but this is what it looks like at home...
