Project Fi in Texas with 6p - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Wondering if anyone has used project fi in Texas and how reception is? I got my invite today and have been using AT&T for years, but would love to be able to switch to project fi.
Just curious...thanks

Works flawlessly here in Austin, Texas.

Works well in the DFW area.

Did any of you guys have att before?
Whats the coverage of tmobile and sprint together vs att alone?
thanks for the responses.

Sprint 3G coverage in Columbus, Ohio

I'm at&t user right now and considering to buy htc evo 4g with sprint.
All of my friends are using either at&t or verizon so I don't have any idea about sprint.
Is sprint 3g coverage in columbus ohio good enough to use?
Thanks for any advice.
on the sprint official website they have a coverage map.
When I went to Easton, the 3G works just fine. It works well in the Lancaster area also.
I seen somewhere that Columbus / Cincinnati are suppose to get 4G this year..
nice i'm in cincinnati oh
Cinci and Cleveland are first in Ohio, sprint.com/4g for more info.... good to know I'll have 4G when I come back to see the family.

I live in Licking County and for the most part coverage is very good. I get a couple bad spots when driving across the county...
I work in Columbus and get very good service but it can get spotty when inside buildings when in downtown Columbus. The weird thing is I'll be standing next to someone with at&t or verizon and their service is good.... I'm starting to think sprints signal is weaker and has trouble penetrating buildings bc of this! It happens to me all the time bc I'm downtown ALOT. Once outside of the buildings, my Sprint service is great and pretty decent 3G speeds.
I live in Columbus (westerville) and got an HTC HERO for my wife and used it for a few days, no coverage problems thoughout the easton(ish) area and also drive up past marysville on 33 and no problems on the drive.
I have since given her HERO up and am awaiting the EVO
To the poster above me: what sprint phone are you currently on and what phones were the other people using? You would be surprised on how much difference a phone can make in reception, not just the network
Im also near the cincinnati area in butler county ohio. Ive been wondering how far the 4g coverage would extend. In between cincinnati and dayton. ?? Any ideas?

I have seen near the same results from the samsung instinct to my current Palm Pre. With me Pre getting a little better signal than the instinct.
When noticing the differences with Sprint coverage versus at&t & the iphone 3G and the Droid on Verizon. I have noticed them getting much stronger signals indoors downtown columbus in a few different locations.
It kinda rubs me the wrong way but with the difference in $$$, I get over it b/c indoors in downtown columbus is my worst spot....I've already contacted Sprint about each location and they've marked it for a ticket and will research it.

Chicago 4g

So I have been trying to fix my radio all day and just called sprint to see if they had any outages. The rep told me they were doing some 4g work in Chicago today and mumbled something about Austin also.
Any one having 4g problems around the city?
I live around the O'hare area and the coverage isn't impressive at all. I hope it's just due to them working on the stability, because if that's the best they're going to roll out, it's pretty sad.

[Q] AT&T Network on the Nexus 4

Hey everyone, I have little knowledge when it comes to networks on phones. I just recently sold my iPhone 5 just because I wasn't satisfy and i am really interested on this phone. I know it doesn't support LTE which is okay, but my question is, if i get this phone, what network will it be on? 3g or hsps +? for more information I live in Miami, so if anyone knows the coverage ill be happy to know!
Its a pentaband phone meaning it'll work on literally any gsm network in the world. It'll have HSPA+ on att network.

I'm in the same boat. I've had sprint for three years and after they kick me I plan on getting ST on ATT. Tmo is terrible where I live

[Q] Anyone in San Luis Obispo county, Ca?

I'm planning on ditching verizon and going prepaid with the nexus 4. My question is regarding att and tmobile coverage in this area. Anyone have experience on either of those networks here? Thanks.

I'm not familiar with your area but T-Mobile's coverage map is more detailed than those provided by other carriers. You should at least be able to tell whether you'll get HSPA+ or EDGE speeds in your location.

Thanks, that's good to know. Verizon's isn't nearly as accurate as it says.

I live in SLO county and switched from Verizon to AT&T about a year ago. I live in Cayucos and the Verizon coverage was not good. A couple of years ago, AT&T bought the local Cell One provider. Cell One used to have the best local coverage...and now AT&T has their towers. I find the AT&T coverage to be very good around the county. I will say that when I travel to bigger cities (Orange County, Vegas, etc) the AT&T data network seems slower. But, on a day to day basis around here, I've been very happy with the switch. Most people are like "What? You left Verizon for AT&T?!" But as many people will tell you - coverage varies a lot carrier to carrier, location to location. For me, AT&T is working very well in SLO County. As for T-Mobile, the only experience I have with it is that a friend of mine who visits periodically has T-Mobile. Her coverage is not as good as the AT&T coverage, at least in my house in Cayucos.

N4 on Solavei??

I was just wondering if anyone uses Solavei? ive watched youtube with a speed test done with straight talk and solavei and solavei blew straight talk away by like 6-7mbs. ive also been seeing a lot of issues people are posting about straight talk. would solavei be a better choice? i will be trying my wifes solavei sim on monday night to see how it works out. a little feedback from the community would be helpful on solavei. thanks
Depends.
Straight Talk uses AT&T and T-Mobile for their service.
Solavei uses T-Mobile.
So if you got a ST TMO SIM its the same.. (network, not sure about pricing)
Also each geographic location has different network / usage. So your ATT speeds in Dallas TX and TMO speeds in Dallas TX will vary from say New York.
