I've been unable to find any lock screen apps that can override the TouchWiz lock screen. Such apps either state 'not compatible' in the App store or they simply don't work (e.g. the TouchWiz lock screen still takes precedence).
Without rooting the Tab A and flashing a custom ROM, has anyone found a way to replace the lock screen app?
Thanks,
M.
I'm using that : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.achep.acdisplay&hl=en
Make sure to go into Settings and switch the lockscreen to None when using another lockscreen app.

Hi all, I just got a note 3, and this is the first time I'm using a device with Touchwiz, so I have a few questions.
I'm using apex launcher and I when go to the display wallpaper in the lock screen settings menu, It doesn't allow me to choose a lock screen wallpaper from Apex. How do I choose apex wallpapers for the lock screen?
There are a TON of apps I don't use, that the note is not letting me uninstall, what is the best way to uninstall or freeze these without titanium backup?
Is there a way to preview the text message pop ups in the pull down menu and the lock screen? Right now it just tells me that I have one message
.
Thanks!
My phone bypasses the lock screen and goes straight to the home screen every time I reboot. How do I fix it so that after a reboot it goes to the lock screen / Go Locker first?
This is a problem with ALL the lockscreen apps in general. Try a different launcher with the same locker app, see if it resolves the issue. If not, then you're better off with the stock lockscreen.
Please enable the Security options in One lockscreen only.

Hi
I'm unrooted, on stock 4.4.2 and using Nova Prime.
I'm trying to change my lock screen shortcut icons (remove label, change theme). I'm using Lumos but it doesn't change the shortcuts. I've tried changing the theme of the stock home but that didn't apply to the lock screen either.
The pic shows what I'm currently stuck with.
Am I flogging a dead horse here or is this impossible without rooting?
Cheers

Nova doesn't actually handle the lockscreens, that's still stock G2. You'd have to get a lockscreen replacement app in order to have any control over the lockscreen icon placement and possibly the labels. I used to use one called WidgetLocker; however, lately I have preferred having no shortcuts on my lockscreen so I have been going without.
Cheers, I'll check it out.

so, I love the S5 and have continued discovering all kinds of stuff about the phone. Using the info here in XDA I was able to get 4.4.4 (NI2) loaded and rooted. I run Xposed and Safestrap and I have Wanam and a few other modules loaded that have things working real well.
The ONE thing I have not been able to get working is lock screen widgets! I use fingerprint as my lockscreen and I've tried two Xposed modules to add widgets - Galaxy S5 Widgets and Samsung Multiple Widgets and neither one seems to give me the ability to have lock screen widgets. Now, that might be because I don't know how to use them properly but I've never seen any options anywhere that are available with or without either of those modules that allow me to add specific widgets to the lock screen.
Does anyone have any tips or tutorials on how to get lock screen widgets working or is it just not to be? Appreciate anyone's info...
I got this device for my parents. So I'm not going through trouble of rooting and flashing custom roms.
So I thought to debloat all the miui stuff.
By far I've pretty much been successful, disabling apps through adb.
What I can't get around is the fact that there is a custom mechanism through which lock screen is being shown. This app called Theme manager (com.android.thememanager) is enabling something called wallpaper crousel.
Now I've disabled both, but doing so sets a default static wallpaper. I want it to be same as home screen (rotating Goohle wallpapers). But there seems no way to do it.
Any help would be appreciated, just want to get to stock lock screen or at least set same home screen / lock screen wallpapers.
I have a rick that worked. go themes than go to live wallpapers set any one live wallpaper from the themes app on both homescreen and lockscreen now go to google wallpaper app and set a wallpaper on homescreen and lockscreen this will work on recent miui 10 roms.
