Hi,
-I have opened a thread in the M919 forum also but also want to ask you guys for suggestions due to my strange situation.
-I bought what was advertised as a NEW SGH-M919 on ebay. I worked for ~1.5 months with T-Mobile service and was using stock M919 firmware and updated OTA with M919 firmware, the latest being OH3 with stagefright fix. One day, it started to boot-loop. Even after clearing the cache and factory reset it still boot-loops. I tried flashing other stock firmwares NB4 4.4.2+ (it wouldn't let me flash anything before NB4) but none would get past the Samsung logo screen. All stock firmware version result in boot-loops. I even tried Cyanogenmod ROMs and got to boot and run but it did not have any sound and the camera did not work. It would eventually crash and I would not be able to boot. If I want it back I would have to reinstall CM but the problems still persists.
-I decided to open up the phone to verify I had a SGH-M919. The sticker underneath the battery indicated SGH-M919. The phone has been using and updating OTA with T-Mobile firmware, the latest being OH3 with stagefright fix.
-Currently, in download mode, the product name indicates "SGH-M919".
-After I removed the motherboard, what I saw underneath was disturbing. There was one big stamping showing "I337", which is AT&T. Many other stampings on the chips also show I337.
-So the question is, do I have a I337 or M919 phone? Currently, I cannot flash or install any firmware that is not for M919. I tried flashing ATT stock rom (I337ATTFNB1) with odin but it failed, indicating many errors such as PIT mapping.
-What can I do now to get me phone back? I don't even care if it turns out that I have a I337. I just need to get it to boot and working. Please help.

Sup guys. I have a problem with my S4. I doubt anyone will be able to help me find a fix but its worth a try. I hope someone will help.
Anyway, I flashed my GT-i9500 (Galaxy S4) from 4.2.2 to 4.3. Now it doesnt boot, It just gets stuck at the 2nd boot screen. Its not even a bootloop. It just hangs there. The S4 sound that plays gets cut like halfway.
I tried flashing a lot of different ROMS, and it still does the same thing. When I rooted it, I noticed the boot welcome sound plays full, but it still hangs after that.
I used Philz Recovery and mounted all the folders etc, but efs says invalid. So that means the EFS folder is messed. I get that, but I cannot repair the EFS if I cant boot the phone, I need the Samsung MTP **** for Samsung Tool to work. I have an N7100 (Note 2) Where I repaired the EFS with Samsung Tool, I was able to boot the phone.
I looked ALL over the net including this forum and found nothing. Right now the phone is just worth nothing. This is my last option, to ask here myself. If it cant be fixed I just cut my losses and get another phone.
I also flashed a PIT file, CSC file, Modem file during the period I was trying to get this fixed. If anybody knows this problem, It'll be very helpful.
Thanks.
you could try upgrading to 4.4, i have all the files for omega v21
heres the link for all the stuff from my google drive.
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_trhAurRvdmb0RkNGpoTkVNU0k&usp=sharing
instal the bootloader and phone file via odin, bl = bootloader cp = goes into the phone part of odin
then fash the rom via philz recovery, worth a try !!
good luck
That wouldn't work, thats for the Snapdragon variant I think. The i9505. I have the i9500. I'll download the Omega ROM for i9500 and try it anyway.
Thanks.
Still doesnt work.

Did you tried complete of phone, than power and vol up, at the buzz lose vol up and at loge lose power button.
and then flash with odin bl. and modem
etc.
I've flashed with Odin & Recovery.
I flashed another bootloader, XXUEMK8 & Odexed Knox Free Stock ROM XXEUMK8 & it still does the same. I dont know whats wrong with it.
Another thing I forgot to mention is if I root it using Odin, the welcome sound plays full and it hangs, and if I reboot it, the welcome sound goes back to cutting off again.
This phone probably cant be fixed. I dont know wtf's wrong with this phone. This is WORSE than hard bricked.
oh & as I mentioned before, I have a Galaxy Note 2 & had an EFS problem with it. I fixed it, the difference was this Note 2 actually booted properly with any ROM installed. I used a Z3X Box & Samsung Tool to fix up the EFS. Maybe this problem is only with i9500 or with i9500 & newer models.
Eeeer don't mean to point out the obvious here but you did do a factory reset in stock recovery after flashing stock 4.3 in Odin? That's all you needed to do at the start.
When I went from 4.2 to 4.3 I couldn't get it to boot at all unless I performed factory reset after flash.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium HD app
I came from a rooted Samsung org. rom 4.3 to omega v21.1 Android 4.4.2
After this i tried slimkat, and had from first start the same issue, no booting.
Nothing works
only starting with power and vol. up as descried above, I could flash XXUFNA5 bootloader & modems.
After this twrp.
And at last I flashed S4 Google Edition - 4.4.2, a ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S 4
Thanks for the help people.
I gave up on trying. I tried everything even factory reset after flashing, different ROMS, different Android versions. 4.1.2, 4.2.2 & 4.3. Today I ended up selling the phone's LCD. Atleast I didnt everything. lol. Wouldn't be buying another Samsung EVER. I was thinking I need another box and stuff, like NSPRO but I dont have that.
Hi All,
I have a strange issue, I have upgraded my phone to kitkat(I9500XXUFNE4) thru odin, but the modem is missing and cause of that IMEI is showing as "null/null", so I tried flashing only modem from the zip file of I9500XXUFNE4 but didn't work, and now only way to get modem back on my phone is when I flash "GT-I9500_Modem_XXUEMJ8", the only problem with this is, if I tried to install Paranoid Android my modem again goes missing and even though I flash "GT-I9500_Modem_XXUEMJ8" thru odin still it doesn't, it's like only if I flash Samsung's official firmware then only flashing "GT-I9500_Modem_XXUEMJ8" will bring back my modem and IMEI#.
I should probably mention this also- previously I had installed leaked firmware of open asia "I9500XXUEMJ5_I9500ODDEMJ5_I9500DDUEMJ5_ODD", since then even though I update my phone via official Samsung's OTA or kies, it just updated my "AP" and "CSC, but I have to flash "GT-I9500_Modem_XXUEMJ8" in order to get back my modem.
Please help me, as I want to use my S4 with AOSP or AOKP based roms only.
P.S. I had three generations of Galaxy S series starting from I9000 and since those days I'm flashing my phone and using Custom roms.

Hi all,
This is probably the #4829 post with identical topic, a very common issue, but unfurtunately this time i wasn't able to solve it alone so any help will be appreciated.
I own a i9506 (LTE-A edition) S4. until now with a 4.3 ROM.
I was forced to encrypt the device by Microsoft Exchange services and lock it with a code, after a while i decided it's time to upgrade to a new firmware and downloaded a brand new ROM which i found in xda.
I flashed twrp and the new rom, rebooted the device and viola, it freezed on the i9506 logo screen. i tried a different kernel which led me to the code locking screen, every time i tried to type something, it gave me "keyboard stopped" error.
So i decided it's good time to do a full format, so i downloaded an original stock rom for i9506 4.4.2 I9506XXUCNJ1_I9506NEECNJ1_I9506XXUCNF3_HOME.tar.md5 flashed it with Odin (using AP) still, the same issue. tried to do full wipe through original recovery instead of twrp, every time i flash original recovery i'm not able to login to it.
i'm pretty much stuck with flashing and wiping, any idea where to go from here?
Thanks!
Is it carrier locked, and what carrier if it is?
Rogers Canada: i9505 "App stopped working" and cellular data not working off and on
Hi, I have the galaxy s4 i9505 from canada on rogers network. The actual model is SGH-i337M though. I have been using cyanogenmod but most recently, the optimized cyanogenmod 5.1.1 from alcurd. And for both OS's I have constant random app crashes from gapps and stock cyanogenmod apps. they randomly crash when i'm in them or they'll crash right away when i try to open one. they don't always crash, but it happens enough to get annoyed from it. Also my data disconnects all the time. it will say I have no service. this happens everynow and then. I've tried installing stock samsung firmware for 5.0.1 then installing cyanogenmod optimized after but it does nothing to fix it. I've even tried installing the new modem after. maybe I didn't find the right one, i'm not sure. Does anyone know what could be causing these issues and help me out with how to fix them or does anyone know a good rom that wont have these issues? I want a cyanogen like rom or pure android. I hate samsungs stuff lol. Thank you so much if you can help :]

Then you don't have an I9505.
I don't think there is a separate modem file available for your S4, unless it's in the forum for your device, so you'll likely have to download the complete ROM. The correct ROM for your S4 is here. Make a nandroid backup of your current ROM and make sure it's saved to the MicroSD card. Flash this ROM through Odin, let it boot, and let it take care of its business. Then head back into download mode, flash your custom recovery, reboot into the recovery, and restore your nandroid backup.
I would try and find just the modem and bootloader package for your S4, as none of the modem/bootloader packages here are for your device. If you can find that, then you can avoid having to do all the steps above and simply flash the modem and bootloader via Odin.
With luck, installing the right bootloader and modem will cure many of your issues.

Would it be this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/sgh-i337m-canadian-stock-official-t3082758 ?
It only has modem file, theirs no bootloader :/
It's marked "Modem/Baseband" so the one file should cover both. But even without the bootloader the modem should still be able to be flashed.
So this is a bit of an odd situation my friend is having. He bought his Note 4 off eBay over a year ago, and it was (and still is) a rooted mess. And I mean a big mess. Now I'm trying to help him fix it, because he can't update his phone at all whatsoever from 5.1.1. So I send him 6.0.1 firmware for O2U and have him go into Download mode, odin, all that fun stuff. Download mode says SM-N910T. Settings says SM-N910F. Anyway, he tries flashing the firmware via odin, fails, I have him try multiple things (I'm pretty tech savvy when it comes to this type of stuff) but it always failed. Also, "Current Binary" and "System Status" are both custom, and the KNOX counter is 0x1.
So what I'm asking is, how to fix this problem for him? What steps should he take (or should I help him take)? Is this actually a T-Mobile phone from the USA, but rooted to work with O2 sim cards? The hell is going on here?
Thanks for any replies, and all suggestions will be taken seriously and addressed.
Install the Phone INFO Samsung APK by vndnguyen and see what it's written there.
Get the serial number - example: mine is a 910C with serial RF8H70D.... and so on (obviously I can't write it all here)
With this serial number try with Samsung Smart Switch on the PC and see what info you get. Also you have the possibility to get the latest original firmware installed on the phone.
Good luck.

Looks like its an refurbished note 4 original motherboard is N910T and faked with N910F software cuz N910F has more value in Market.
So the bottom line is you have N910T Tmobile note 4 and you have to flash N910T firmware but after flash firmware from odin you have to immediately boot into stock recovery by pressing 3 button combo and do factory reset to get clean fresh opreating system otherwise it will get stuck in a bootloop at samsung logo.
First boot after flash and factory reset can take upto 10 minutes.
You can get firmware from www.sammobiles.com/firmwares
Or from link below for faster download.

Remember once you flash this latest marshmalow firmware there is no way you can ever downgrade to 5.1.1 again.
Good luck

Thanks so much! Everything is flashing on his phone right now like it should be. Appreciate it a bunch!
I also used samsung-firmware.org. I would use sammobile but I only had enough on my card for a 48 hour upgrade.
