Intensity of navigation buttons - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys.. Is there a way to turn down the intensity of the navigation buttons without rooting? I use Lux to dial down my screen brightness but it does not effect the navigation buttons. They are brighter than I needed.

Does your phone do this?

If you have auto brightness, adapt display and auto adjust screen tone off aswell as having brightness in browser and main settings all the way up does your phone go slightly dimmer when entering the stock browser? If someone could test this it would be brilliant! Thanks guys

Click to collapse
i believe there's some settings you have to tick in the stock browser's settings
Do you mean the brightness and auto brightness in the browser? Brightness is at full and autobright off... take it your phone doesn't dim at all?

adjust built-in torch (flashlight) brightness

using 3minit, I love the ability to activate the flashlight from the lockscreen, or via double tapping home. outside of 3minit you can activate the setting to toggle the flashlight by long pressing volume down even while screen is off!
the downside to using these built in handy torches is the flashlight is..dim! about 40% of its maximum brightness =[ . has anyone run across any mods/tweaks/ways to increase the system torch brightness, so that in apps that incorporate the torch can use the torch at full brightness?
5 "Thanks" (reps) to anyone with a solution!

Nav bar brightness

I use Lux to control brightness but apparently kitkat has made changes to how brightness works and it therefore does not affect the nav bar which means while most of the screen is dim, the nav bar remains bright.
Does anyone know of a working fix or an alternative app that works on nav bar? I tried an app that claimed to work on nav bar (particularly on Nexus devices) but it did not work.

[Q] upgraded to lollipop, can i get the menu key and the brightness slider back?

i upgraded my d800 5.0.2,
is it possible to get the menu key back (i can long press the "recent" key to get the menu functionality but that's not great), it does not appear as an option in the settings,
also, is it possible to the the brightness slider in the notification bar? the new brightness i got was i multi level toggle switch instead of the old slider..
thanks for the hlep
I would also like the brightness slider back in the notification panel. Why would LG remove this option?
Also, the Lollipop update on my Xperia Z2 tablet removed the auto brightness tick box from the notification panel. I hear complaints on other devices relating to lollipop and brightness. What the hell was Google thinking?
