Hi, I bought a redmi note 2 from aliexpress and I received it today. When I tried turning it on initially it didnt turn on. So I put it to charge but it just keeps vibrating. This is my first time buying a product from xiaomi and I'd be very upset if it turns out my phone is defective. Any ideas on what i should do? I plug it in with the cable thats supplied and it just keeps vibrating??
Thank You

Hello dear Forum members,
ive brought a new geniue Mx5 phone.
the phone worked perfectly for a couple of days.
yesterday i forgot to charge it and it completly drained its battery.
in the morning i connected the phone with its original charger and cable and nothing happens.
the phone wont charge and wont start, i've tried different chargers and cables and even connecting it to my comp via USB and still nothing happens..
theres only a led notification light blinking, the phone and the charger are COLD even after a couple of hours connected to the charger..
i also tried to remove the simcard and enter the recovory mode ( tired pushing the volume buttons [+ and -] with the power button, and all the possible combinations and yet nothing...)
i didnt drop the phone and didnt put it under extreme wheater....
what can i do ?
i'd be very thankful to have your advice and ideas
yours,
Elitemagix
Hello!
Have you tried to let the phone charging some hours? When the battery is fully drained you need to do this

Ive had the exact same problem, just ordered the phone came today... let it die then charged and now its not charging! I don't know what to do! Did you find a solution?
Hi, I've the same problem with a Meizu MX3. Have you found any solution?
Hold power till stops blinking, should just boot after that.
hi i have this problem too has anyone fixed it ?
I had and have the same issue with my Meizu MX4, with the Ubuntu Touch (OTA-14) OS.
I have changed battery and connector and the problem still remains.
Taking out the battery and charging it externally works, but charging it through the connector and micro-USB plug does not work.
As I suppose other people higher up in this thread have Flyme as OS, it seems to be a motherboard issue to me.
Any solutions found meanwhile?
Since I don't have the necessary equipment at home to perform the external charging, and I have so far relied two times on a repair shop to do so, I would also be interested to get references of universal or Meizu specific external charging equipment.
Thanks.
I had the same problem with my meizu m5c
Idont know if it will work on your meizu models bu i fixed my by just pressing the volume up and power button then it showed “battery lower than 25%,update available” then i pressed restart and placed it on my charger and it was fixed
hi, my son let some water swap over his brand new redmi 3s 32GB. he said not much, but enough to destroy the phone as it seems. the only thing happening is a permanent bootloop: black screen, short vibration, mi logo, black screen, vibration, boot logo.... and so on.
tried to flash a fastboot image but no way to get into fastboot or recovery mode as the restart occurs to fast. some times the fastboot screen appears instead of the mi logo (or the low batterie logo as i let the battery run empty yesterday to test this out), but before the pc can recognize the device correct its already booting again (3-5 sec each time).
i already opened the device and put it in rice for 48h to get the humidity out but without any succes.
any other ideas? thanks, ..
Problem solved! If anybody occurs the same problem try to change the power flex cable, this solved my problems. Found the idea in another thread for another device from another brand but it works like a charm: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2638916 i got a new cabl for less then 10 euro @eBay, if theres no hurry you get them for less the 2 eur @aliexpress!
after a long time, i switched on my redmi note (hm1w) (first note from xiaomi) but however it is not swithing on . i tried to switch on while being connecting in charging state too. but neither it is showing any charging symbol nor is it switching on . initially the mi logo keeps on coming after a fixed interval and later on when i removed battery and put it back and tried several times switching it on the logo interval keeps on decreasing and now it is showing nothing . i had tries all my best but am not able to bring it to life.
i had also tried charging it for atleast 2 hours but still nothing happens. i have checked the battery by connecting it to some other auxillaries and it is working fine. please help me in switching on my phone.
I bought a Redmi Note 7 two months ago and it has just stopped working for no reason. It was working properly until now, I hadn't flashed it, it wasn't root. I think it had around 70% battery when it has happened.
It's not charging using the original charger, no lights at all when connected to the charger.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions before contacting the seller?

Thank you so much!! It was enough with a 5 second press and now it's working properly.
Hi, friends. This is my first post here. I read many guides and opinions here. Thanks. Now I have a question...
My Redmi Note 4x Snapdragon Global shows a blinking red light when connected to a charger (even the original one that came with the phone). I tried removing the battery and connecting the phone without it. Then I reconnected the battery but it didn't work. The MI logo never shows up.
It started some days ago. My phone's battery was totally dry. I charged it and it booted normally, but then turned off by itself. When I tried to boot it again, it showed the MI logo for like an hour. Then I pressed the three buttons (Vol. UP, Vol. DOWN and POWER). Then, the logo disappeared and now I'M STUCKED in the blinking red lights.
I heard that this is EDL mode... I guess. I have to flash my phone... But I heard that there is some way to keep my internal data. I don't care about my applications. I just want to recover my pictures and my videos.
I have my MI Account, my Google Account, etc. This phone is totally mine.
It doesn't turn on so I can't remove the password.
I read that if you make contact between some pins in the mother board and connect the phone you are going to be able to flash it directly. BUT... Does it wipe out all the data?
I heard that if you remove the password setting or if you simply don't wipe out everything the internal data should be fine. But I want to be sure.
Please... Is very important that I keep those files. Thank you very much. I'll wait for your answers.
