I remember back in Nexus 4 we were able to determine when device was produced. Does anyone know how to check it? If its possible at all?

Same as Nexus 6 ... this will show your build date.
Reboot into Bootloader
Use arrows and choose Show Barcodes, hit Power button

Hey guys,
Not that it is a real problem, but I was wondering why my device manager shows 5 USB devices for my Nexus 4, 3 times ADB and 2 times bootloader. Any idea why?
Thanks in advance
It this really that strange that no one knows why it's caused ?

I've never seen that before. Uninstall all your drivers and start over?
Maybe because I installed it using a toolkit? Anyhow, I'll try installing them again

Well, I investigated the issue a little and found out there where even six devices: 2 bootloader and 2 ADB devices which were always visible but "couldn't be started" and one bootloader and one ADB device, from which one is active when the mode is activated. I deleted the 4 devices and everything still functions well.
Do you have a Linux box anywhere near you? If you do, type "lsusb" into terminal with the phone plugged in. Windows is retarded.
I do have a dual boot with Ubuntu 12.04, but what will that command actually do?

I keep getting a (as far as I can tell) completely random 'login failure' popup when using my phone, theres no information as to what app has the problem. There are no apps I've noticed I'm signed out of, all work normally. Any ideas?

Long press the notification and select "app info"

Can't seem to long press it, the notification appears like when you sync your accounts.

Just want to gove this a bump. I have been experiencing this same problem for the past week, and it only happens on my nexus tablet, not my phone. I havent been able to pinpoint the issue.
I get this on occasion when I'm in an area with a weak data signal and the email app checks for emails, but gets a login failure.
Is it possible to find out an imei number for nexus 7? An imei that would identify it as a nexus 7 using sites as this: http://www.imei.info/
I have a nexus 4, however in order to qualify for a promotion for my provider, I am actually suppose to use a tablet. I'd like to just give them an imei to register a nexus 7 on their system.
If people could give me their tablet imei, do they risk anything (could the imei be used for malicious things)?
If someone gives you their IMEI, only one of you can use it without raising red flags. It's generally a bad idea to give it out, as others could steal it.

OP always google first.
The Nexus 7 has a CSSN.
The CSSN is located on the outside of the Nexus 7 box. If you no longer have this box, you can also get your CSSN from your device (Settings > About tablet > Status > Serial number).

Only once did it randomly go into trwp recovery but its seen like a fault not software issue. Hope I can get a replacement

Its dead nothing happening with any button combos. Battery was 90%. Losing faith with Samsung had to get a replacement for a note 3 previously and have now switched to a nexus 5. May get a refund on this and wait on the nexus 10 2014 model

My condolences mate maybe there is a way to reset it with ADB commands or something? Wait till you get another answer, I don't know too much about these things myself.
I tried unplugging battery for 15mins opened it very carefully. But no luck. I'm just really annoyed as I lost data and its rooted so swap is only option

What I didn't understand is why you not re-flash a ROM via recovery or flash a stock ROM via Odin to see if this solve your problem. That will be one of my first steps.
PS. Other options are connect the device in the black-screen-mode and check via adb if you can see anything. Maybe an access to log cat is her possible and to get an output to see what goes wrong.
I've been having the same problem.. I just bought mine on Monday. It has either shutdown it self or just doesn't want to turn on, but I have to press the power button and +- volume buttons to turn it back on.. Now, I'm just waiting for it to do it again so I can return it...

Hi Guys,
After updating my wife's note 4 to lollipop. I noticed in settings - power saving - where you get the battery usage stats. I dont get to see the screen on time. That option has completely disappeared. By the way this is stock samsung lollipop. My note 4 has screen on time option. But not hers. I hope you guys could shed some insight on this predicament of mine.
Please refer to attachment.
Thanks in advance
Scroll down, if you see the screen option, tap that and it'll show you SOT.

I did. I have been using Samsung devices for the past 5 years and I am well versed with it. Have flashed rooted installed custom ROMS etc. But like I said above we both have Note 4's and I have the option right at the top. But my wife's phone doesn't have it in the entire list. This is after using the phone to about 70%. Therefore it should ideally account for the balance 30% and show the screen on time. I am really bummed by this.
Sometimes it doesn't show for a while in my list.
