I use a old garmin heart rate monitor and it worked perfectly with oneplus one. Does anyone know if nexus6p supports ANT+?
It does not support the hardware - I'm using an otg cable with ant+ adapter for my Garmin HRM with success. Good luck!
Would you mind sharing the link for the ANT+ adapter
here's one. you'll need an OTG adapter to use it.

thanks.

Hmmm, my buddy over at
https://play.google.com/store/apps/.../apps/details?id=com.z2software.antplus&hl=en
says it will work, for a fee! I've already purchased this for my S4. So I wont have to pay again to see if it works with my 6p when it comes. I'll download it and try it out. I'll report back on the results!
I do not work for that app at all. I just like Ant+

The work the dev had to do and the result it produces are both well worth it.

I assume you are joking since the Evo uses microHDMI for TV out. That's a port that does not exist on the Epic.

Um, yeah, that would be a microUSB to hdmi and DOESN'T currently work on the Epic. The Evo's cable is microHDMI to HDMI. Please read before posting things you clearly don't know about. The feature of video out was disabled by Sprint.

Now that we're on the tv out issues... I wanted know, the allshare application does not find my tv. Now, I have a Sony XBR9so this cannot be my tv, I'm already equipped for hulu plus! Aside from the not finding, I am pretty impressed still how the tv finds the device and can play songs and picture from it, just not videos? Hmm... I wonder what this all may be about. I don't mind, as I could simply place it on the usb stick and plug it to the tv, but, I actually wanted to do it off the device, anyone else have this same issue?

This guy claims TV-OUT on Epic's hardware is disabled. Dunno how reliable of a source he is, but I guess we'll be closer to knowing for sure once we get froyo 2.2 on our Epics.

Okay, if the Verizon Fascinate has Tv-out his argument will be invalid. I guess we'll just have to wait for that or froyo to learn more unless someone else has anything to offer.
I've also heard that the epic has a different 3.5mm controller, so that may be one clue

What video format is on the phone? Your TV might not have the right codec.

i know my new sharp aquos quattron or whatever it is has a similar issue. i can play files via usb. i can send the tv pics/music.. but no video. ive decided to just have it link up with my ps3 instead as it can handle video streaming.
Verizon's Fascinate does not currently support TV out either.
Just for kicks.. has anyone tried hooking it up and see if the option appears?? i dont have a cable to test with
I got one on ebay and tried so without another compatible device, I'm not sure if I just got a bad cable or not. I even tried using white and red as the video just in case cable was funky, but didn't work. I swear I read somewhere that the option would appear after plugged in, but no tv out option appeared in sound/ display settings.
Sent from my Epic 4G using XDA App
Edit: read in a bunch of different places today that an update killed TV-out... People had the option and then it was gone after update. This gives me hope that some of the pros here can give it back
There is a cable that is made by cygnet, that has the epic usb to hdmi, works with epic. Retails for $24.99, you can find them at Fry's Electronics.

Brought a unbranded sixaxis controller, it started to worry me because it didn't affect my nexus 7 while connected via usb on the stock rom.
And then I rooted to paranoid android and its still the same.
Thought that it might work via bluetooth so I used the sixaxis pair tool and changed the bluetooth address and it wont pair, then i used usb cable to pair controller on the sixaxis app and it said "master address updated" but it doesnt pair and the lights keep on flashing on the controller.
Please help!! I want to play games >:|
Buy the branded controller. It's expensive, but will last a lifetime if you don't drop it too much.

When you download the Sixaxis app from the Play Store it warns you about it not working with unofficial controllers.
Try plugging controller into your ps3. That might reset the master address.

That's the chance you take buying an unofficial controller. It MIGHT work. Yours does not work. You should be able to still use it wired, though.

You've got the USB OTG adapter and it plugged in using a game that supports gamepads? Have you tried using https://play.google.com/store/apps/...51bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5wb2tlNjQ3MzgudXNiam95Il0. ?
Most likely has to do with a different product/vendor ID on the controller itself. I have no idea how the sixaxis app recognizes official controllers; but if it does it via vendor/product ID check, in theory, adding your ID to the list should work.
Going about doing this though, I have no idea.

No kidding. He's asking for advice and I'm telling him to cut his losses and buy the official. He's clearly not getting the unofficial Chinese knock off to work. It will not work with six axis.

I'm a poor student, I don't have £30 to spend on a controller! Although I would have preferred to have not wasted my time on this cheap one and got an official one instead!

Yeah and I thought that at least it would work with another app once rooted like the USB/BT joystick app. Especially as there's people using all sorts of random controllers with their nexus 7's.
Have you not been able to get it to work at all?
No I haven't gotten it to work with anything. I sent a few emails to the guys behind USB/BT Joystick Center 6 (Poke64738) and they basically told me that they wouldn't be able to get it working w/o the actual device to tinker with.
I ended up getting an iControlPad. It works really good, but the D-Pad is just glued on to the silicon membrane. Which means that it will fall off eventually.
This is what my D-Pad looks like after gluing it back on about 6 times -_- (before I scrapped the glue off) You can notice that there isn't any rim to hold it in like the second picture. with the regular buttons.
These are old pictures I used to make a support ticket on there site. They ended up sending me a new membrane with a D-Pad glued down already for free. So I can vouch for there customer service, not there build quality... I have three A buttons on one controller. XD?
The iControlPad 2 looks like it's got the same setup as well, really a shame.

I spent most of today trying out IR apps, and I eventually broke down and tried out some paid apps. I'm going to put my vote in for Smart IR Remote. (Forum won't let me link because my 6 year old lurking account is a "new user")
It's got tons more devices available, and has widget support. I made a page of my home screen a control panel for my house.
I think the $7 price they're asking is high, but since a remote for my InFocus projector would be $40 (INSANE), I suppose it's well worth the price.

Hi there.
I just wonder how NFC is working for you. I have no problems reading a bankcard for example. On various other NFC Tag I have issues. They don´t get recognized.
I also own a couple of NFC enabled Sony Cameras and a Headphone which is NFC enabled. Non of them get recognized. I guess I am missing something but at the moment I have the feeling NFC is working very bad.
In addition. Does someone knows where the NFC antenna EXACTLY is located?
Cheers
I will try to make several NFC badges tests with OP5 at work very soon (I have many types on my desk) and report here :good:

Will do some tests as well when I get mine on Monday and let you know
