It still runs in the background, intermittently popping up asking to activate, only way is to delete the apk.

so that it will never bother you again do this.
Apps>ALL>Sprint Connections Optimizer> Force Stop and uncheck Show Notifications.
It will never bother you again.
Other than that im not sure. I guess you have your reasons to not even show in the options list.

Thing is even if I stop notifications it still runs, and can restart even if stopped.

[KK][FIX] Battery Drain-Google Play Services

Hello Guys,
I have been trying almost all the KK Roms available for SP.And the only thing holding me back was battery life.
So i looked into info and found Google services/ google play services taking around 20-30% of my battery. This is the case mostly when you have location reporting turned ON.So i did some digging of myself and found a possible fix without loosing any functionality.
Google services now doesn't even make to the list of battery drainage as you can see in the screenshot below.
HOW TO-
[1] Go to settings>privacy>privacy guard(In some roms it might be under security).
[2] In privacy guard tick the option for built in apps.
[3] Then locate google play services and long press it for further options.
[4] There will be lot of options like location, read contacts, modify contacts etc..
[5] Set permissions as denied for all EXCEPT LOCATION..
[6] Reboot to see changes and terminate already running processes.
You can have a better idea with the screenshots attached below.
this doesn't affects any google apps like google search, play etc..
I Hope this works for you too:laugh:
From what I understood from the Xperia Z complains it is a bug that Google needs to fix....Altho this is a temporaly fix it is a fix so nice work

yes it is there are wakelocks which keep the device awake but doing this eliminates all of 'em and improves battery tremendously
Thanks!
Did it, let's see if it does any difference, is there anyway to stop media server drainage with this?

its due to faulty mp3 or photos present in your memory.

I'll try and I think the battery was destroying by swap memory

Notification when I press Power Button

Hello ...
I have the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) with Android 6.0.1 from Saturday (NOT rooted ... yet). After a lot of hours searching and setup I have this "problem":
When I press the PowerButton for 2-3 seconds to show the options: Reboot/ShutDown/SafeMode it sounds the Messages notification !! How can I disable this?
Thanks in advance.
I still cannot disable it (without reset the phone)
I wonder if this notification is by default ....???
Thanks

Dunno if you can remove it without root, but you can do it with root. You find system sounds at /system/media/audio/ui. There you should find the sound file regarding power menu, then delete it and reboot and that's it.
@zavag
I try to turn it on to reproduce your problem but In my case, I can not even find out how I can turn it on.
Can you tell me...
How you activated it?
On which build are you?
@Henkate
I think it would be rather embarrassing for Samsung if you can not even personalize a notification tone without major changes to the system.
By the way, even if I do not actually think of TouchWiz. For me it's just ugly and overbloat!
I really don't know how it activated. The phone is new and ... you know ... I was searching a lot of settings in order to setup as I like. I googled it ... I found some infos but it didn't work.
On the other hand I don't want to reset (and most I don't want to root it from now) because I spent a lot of hours to set it up.

Know what you mean! I think if there is really no other way you are at minimum able to backup your settings in almost any app.
Maybe you like to inform about adb based backup solutions like declared here:
https://www.droidwiki.de/wiki/Backup/Ohne_Root
I also found a tool called Ultimate Backup on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844032
If you don't have access to a Linux or at least Windoof computer you can maybe search for how to use adb through androids buit in Linux command shell. Don't know if there is a workaround.
But in my opinion it is already poor from Samsung if one must operate such an effort in order to turn off a notification!

sHealth is responsible of this wakelock. Disable it if you don't need it.
But its behavior on your device isn't normal. This wakelock should run for a couple of seconds, not +20min.

UID is a unique identifier to the user of each process. In your case, BBStats is not able to identify (link to) the responsible process of this activity.

Google Allo notifications not working

I am facing issues with Google Allo, the notifications do not alert me to a new message either unless i have the app open or quite a while later. Tried the usual fixes but nothing resolve this, i dont think this is rom related as all others work and i have adjusted all settings including battery optimisation.
Any ideas would be appreciated
Do you use any apps like Greenify? that could be a problem if the app is being forced to sleep..
Or maybe take a look in Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery
there is a few settings in there that maybe putting it to sleep
scroll down to the bottom and add Allo to "unmonitored apps"

Usually restore from titanium backup, however in an attempt to fix it i did uninstall and reinstall from fresh and this also had the same effect of delays
