Need help here. I'm not sure which kernel to choose. Can someone help me decide which kernel has great battery life compared to the other?
I am tired of stock rom
Can anyone suggest the best rom available
Phone will be used as daily driver(snapchat also)
Stock ,CM,RR any rom.
Sorry for bad english.
Thankyou
The two roms I liked the most were
Power Of Debloat Octanote Version A because it is so lightweight and has less bloat. Plus most of the system ui and apps are Note 5 or Galaxy S7 themed. Its pretty neat
Also FirstFlight 5.5 Note 7 themed is also pretty amazing. It goes even deeper and has Note 7 themed system UI and everything. The only problem I have with this rom is that battery life takes a huge hit. Power of Debloat is nice on the battery. Try these two and tell me what you think. Be sure to take Nandroid backups in your custom recovery and follow all steps posted by respective developers on flashing each rom. Be sure to only install the rom for your device. Galaxy S4 i9500. I made that mistake by flashing a rom not meant for my phone and it bricked.
Please note that I haven't use RR on my S4 but I have used it on many others and would recommend and try it too. Tell me how it all went.
Ale95 Note5 Port is the best ROM for me
Because I have been tested many ROM like CM, GearCM, RR, and other
This ROM have a good battery life, and my device not overheating again
Trust Me Bro :good:

I know..I used ROM and it was the best ..but snapchat was not working on that ROM and I am a heavy user of snapchat..
Prism barebone v16 from last year (Not v17, v16). If you are not so interested in note5 or s7 themed apps, this is for you. It is discontinued but with the highest performance and best battery life among stock-based ROMs.

I always have some bugs in other stock-based ROMs. For example, I found Octanote a little too debloated that some apps crash all the time such as Calculator. Other bloated ROMs have very mediocre battery life, I think all those themes and unnecessary Note apps like Air Command, SNote cause unnecessary drain.
CM based ROMs (Alberto 6.0.1) have better performance than any stock-based ROMs but it has some bugs that cannot be solved (Exynos sources are not accessible for free developers.), such as in-call echo (Other side hears his/her own voice.) and (sometimes) camera crash.
I usually end myself on stock-based ROMs that debloated and rooted for battery life. However, if you're power user who prefers performance boots, GearCM and RR would be your choice.

What would be better Kernel from the stock samsung one? What has better batterly life and maybe better performance as well?
With original touchwiz 6.0.1
I would gladly like to know!
Phone using atm Note 4 910f rooted and custom recovery, cheers.
This thread is for everyone!
Post your opinion and some screenshots if possible of your battery life on the ROM of your choice to help everyone find the right ROM for them
Please include the ROM name/current version you are reporting on and if you are using a different kernel from the one included in the ROM post that too
I think for battery life more inclined to cusrom s7e. I've compared with cusrom port s8, with the use of almost the same, cusrom s7e gives more battery life. This is an example of my use in superman rom using superkernel (more tweaks). But all returned to their respective usage patterns.
#I do not mean no respect with the developers who have made a lot of cusrom
I own a Korean Note 4 SM910S, running currently on Nemesis Refined, and I wanna increase my phone's battery life—one of those ways is installing a kernel.
So far there are only two kernels available for my variant—PRIME Kernel and SpaceLemon Kernel—and I wonder which is the most preferred one for battery life. Currently I'm using PRIME Kernel.
