Lost root after install CM12.1 Temasek - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys
I just installed the CM12.1 Temasek, but when I check if my phone has root with the root checker leaves me no. Reviewing Internet tells me that in the options menu of programmer should I look for root access but that option dont appears to me, that you should do? or I can fix thi? i realize the update of SuperSU from TWRP and still does not work

Come on seriously. You flash a rom without checking the first post or at least read install instructions.
Warning: spoon feeding incoming:
To gain root access flash supersu file in recovery. Even linked to that file. Twrp doesn't magically root your device without having a file to flash. It's just a false reminder when it sees you have no root access.
Temasek removed the supersu from the rom as you have to do it yourself when you clean install. Get supersu survival after first install so you don't lose it on dirty flashes. Please don't ask how to do that. Just go to supersu settings and look.
Thank you

Hi Kenny
I do All The steps like says in The instructions but doesnt work, i flash the supersu in TWRP but stills doesnt work, that why asking

Chainfire update 2.46

What did you update? In other words, what were you on before this?

I always use this one http://download.chainfire.eu/743/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip

Hey,
I too got my root access removed when installed CM ROM but the best way I did to recover my root is using ODIN and CF-AUTORoot files available on internet .
Just go and flash that .tar file and you'll get back your root access

IMO Odin should always be the last step. Flash SuperSU 2.52 from TWRP 2.8.7.0. It will fix whatever causes root to fail automatically

You are probably using older supersu and Twrp files, use the latest ones.
EDIT: Just follow what emuandco said in his last post, should solve the problem right away.

Root won't work

I just came from a custom ROM back to stock rom and wanted to root again. I flashed CWM recovery with ODIN en then flashed CWM-SuperSU-v.0.99.zip
When I opened the SuperSU app and clicked on update, it said installation failed. I went to the play store to update. Now it says I'm not even rooted . What am I doing wrong here?

Can I just flash over the current CWM recovery?

No, you were just installing supersu app (you don't need cwm recovery to do that), but not making root. Supersu is just a tool for root management. Flash cfautoroot with odin and then go to gplay and download supersu.

I flashed SuperSU (so including the binary, not just the app) in CWM recovery. How is that not making root? It should work that way, just apparently not for me.
so I already have CWM recovery, and the CF-auto-root brings the stock recovery. My question was whether I can just flash over it or not
edit: I just flashed over it, and works now

Supersu is just an app to manage root accesses, and binaries can be installed directly oppening supersu after install it from google play or from a zip using cwm (what you did), but first you need to make root. I am 99% sure that cfautoroot backups the actual recovery to restore again after root; if dont you can flash again the cwm after cfauto and you shouldn't lose root.

[Q] Unroot Towelroot without Recovery

Hello all,
I have an LG G2 D80220c-222-88, with stock rom KitKat 4.4.2. Few months ago I rooted the device using towelroot, just to be able to install the xdabbeb's 3.1 camera. I did not installed any recovery.
I would like to know if there is a way to unroot my device, for warranty issue, and to be able to install further stock update. I already try to uninstall the towelroot apk but Root checker still find the device as rooted...
Thanks for any suggestion,
kindly,
Cisky
Does anybody know if 'Unrooter' tool, by bender_007, may works for my request? At least to upgrade to a new stock OTA release?
Search the threat return to stock for full unroot!

If you didnt installed Supersu after rooting with towelroot your phone is vulnerable..it grands root access to ANY app
Try installing Supersu(from Google Play), and then from SuperSU theres an option "full unroot"..and after full unroot use root checker to see if its still rooted
OR you can flash a stock firmware with lg flash tool, you will loose root and all things from your phone... You phone will be like new ( not sure if it will be like new new xD, i mean maybe in download mode it will still say"rooted" because it was rooted before...but even this thing can be faked if you need to return your phone for waranty...but how i said, im not sure that in download mode will say "rooted" after flashing the oficial firmware)
Take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

Thanks a lot for your answer, I unrooted the device using SuperSU (root checker confirm that i'm unroot), but still, i'm root on download mode, it means that I cannot update to any OTA stock update

Did you flash the firmware? You can flash the latest firmware instead of taking OTA
Or if you didnt flash the firmware, you are safe to update JUST if your ROM is clean...with clean i mean no mods installed like the camera mod that you installed...so its recommended to flash the firmware instead of taking ota
The latest firmware for d802 is v20h you can follow the instructions from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

Install root, custom recovery, etc causes small modifications on system, partitions, etc, so LG software detect that and triggers the root flag.
Flash a jb kdz for your phone model, reboot, factory reset, update by ota to kk.
Pure untouched stock phone again!

Can't update binary through twrp

Plz help
Friends I'm a newbie here on xda. I don't know much about this but I wanna know. I have a xiaomi redmi note 4g single sim. I installed twrp by using built in feature of installing update manually. But when I installed SuperSU it is asking for binary update via twrp so when I proceed it takes me to twrp and then something appear like writing scripts and all and then it restarts but again when I open SuperSU it ask for binary update. What should I do? Could anyone help me plz.

After you flashed superSU by twrp. run superSU and it will prompted you to downloaded binary. Updated it and waiting it successfully updated the binary. Roboot your phone. Done. Also installed sdFix from play store, it will enabled those third parties applications like root explorer, titanium backup, nandroid manager etc write/save to external sd card.

Reflashed "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip" which was a stabled version. When it asked you to update the binery, I always selected normal option.

Maybe try reflash firmware, then fash TWRP via Odin and then flash latest supersu via TWRP. That's how I did it an have no problems

CF AutoRoot is not up to date so it will disappear after some time.
Its better to you to root it on this way :
Download Latest SuperSU and TWRP Recovery ;
Copy the Latest SuperSu zip on your phone/sd card ;
Flash TWRP via Odin ;
Reboot on TWRP ;
Flash SuperSU and all should be good.
tried it, re doing CF chainfire, install latest stable superSU from TWRP, still cannot get the root access back.

During flashing didn't mention the error on TWRP, then bootloop happen.
A couple of questions.
Were you able to access TWRP?
If yes, Did you install TWRP or did you just boot?
Which version of SuperSu did you try flashing.
Are you sure it was a clean install?
I am just speculating now, but i suspect if you tried other root methods they may have change some items in system which messed upp SuperSu installation.
